Life
The life of Sage Celah of the Steppe is known through accounts from multiple characters in The Book of Lore. He is known to be interested in the effects of 'Green Bullfrog Venom' on persons who ingest the substance. His experimentation with the compound has led to a following of other wizards interested in his theories, philosophy, and research; known either by letter or meeting with Sage Celah.
In an account signed off by Shadow Mage Hagar of the Realm it is suggested that Shadow Mage Hagar has visited Sage Celah. The entry describes Sage Celah as a hermit and who lives alone in a rocky shack. The rocky shack is described as hidden from easy location and full of books and potions. In the entry the Wizard is said to believe that "the only way of living a true life is going inwards".
The same Book of Lore entry includes an account from Archmagus Casper of the Mist which says that Sage Celah of the Steppe believes that the venom of the green bullfrog may contain the key to enlighten all living beings. It is questioned whether the effect of the venom is solely a physiological phenomenon contained within the brain or if it opens the door to other dimensions.
The entry ends with an account from Sorcerer Azahl of the Mount who describes Sage Celah's temper as 'turbulent', and describes how his research has amassed a following despite prejudice and mockery from some branches of Academia.
