Miyo's Special Wizard Burn Election
Miyo's Special Wizard Burn Election was a multi-platform, interactive storyline that was organized by Kel in September/October 2021, leading up to the activation of the Sacred Flames and the genesis of the Souls collection. The storyline centered around 
Chaos Mage Miyo of the Wood (8711), her followers, called "Miyo's Boys", and the various unfortunate Wizards who became part of her scheme.
Format
The majority of the ongoing storyline was presented through Twitter, on Chaos Mage Miyo's dedicated account. Several times per week, small bits of the story were presented, often including images or simple animations. The storyline centered around the identification and acquisition of various "candidates" for the Wizard Burn Election, which would determine the Wizard that would be forced to enter the Sacred Flame.
Every week, Miyo would also make an appearance in the Tavern, a dedicated role-playing channel in the Forgotten Runes community Discord server, to announce the newest candidate, complete with a poster that included details about each one. Each of the candidate Wizards also had lore about their backgrounds published in the Book of Lore.
In an attempt to include an element of the Ethereum blockchain in the storyline, each candidate was also listed on OpenSea, the predominant NFT platform at the time. Fans could purchase the candidate Wizards to "save" them from the election and ensure their safety. In practice, several listed Wizards were in fact purchased in this way, altering the outcome of the storyline. (For the record, the Wizards were purchased due to other factors, as there were multiple "sweeps" occurring within the Forgotten Runes Wizard's Cult collection at the time for unrelated reasons.) Inevitably, replacement Wizards were added to the election.
On the day of the election, the final candidates were presented in Discord, and the community members voted on the results. Chaos Mage Miyo herself ended up being a candidate, and narrowly missed being chosen for the flames. 
Spellsinger Aldus of the Realm (9631) ended up being chosen in the election, but due to circumstances, all the Wizards except Miyo ended up being consumed by Sacred Flames.
