The air is damp and heavy, and every rustling leaf sends dread into the hearts of those who dare enter. An eerie silence pervades, though an occasional distant moan, a mewling wolf, or screeching terror of some poor beast in pain, punctuates the horrible silence. The songs of birds have not been heard in the forest for ages. Though this place has a foreboding reputation, there are some who claim these horrors are wildly exaggerated, and the Thorn is largely harmless.
