Alessar's Keep is located in the central region of the known Runiverse. The keep lies at the mouth leading to Kelpie's Bay and is in close proximity to Kobold's Crossroad and Calista's Citadel.
A hub for maritime merchants, the nexus of trade for all the Runiverse. It is believed that the eccentric Wizard Alessar controls 80% all trade at this port. Situated on Kelpie's Bay, this busy port is equipped with numerous docks and piers catering to the various vessels that come in and out of the Bay daily. Cranes and heavy machinery are in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The docks are lined with merchant stalls selling exotic foods, gilded baubles, rare substances, livestock, textiles, jewelry, and a plethora of knickknacks, novelties, and sundries from across the Runiverse.
Though a bustling port of commerce, the Bay itself is plagued by the wild Salt Kelpies, who disrupt trade by kicking holes in the hulls of barges and cargo ships, and maiming overboard sailors. This "pest," as sailors call them, are hearty and nearly impossible to control, and all efforts to lessen their numbers have proved futile. It is almost if they are protected by some kind of oceanic magic.
