Wizard Honoraries

Honorary Wizards were created during the earliest days of the Forgotten Runes project. Developed prior to the initial Wizards mint, it was a way to gain visibility and traction for the project by aligning with influencers and early supporters. Early honoraries included individuals who were active in the community, shared their ideas, and contributed to the project's growth during its embryonic stage.

However, over time, the approach to granting honorary titles evolved. Instead of targeting specific influencers, the Runiverse community started to play a more significant role in choosing who would receive an honorary. It was seen as a way to maintain a "small town feel" and allow the community to honor those who were truly committed. An example of this shift in process was the Honorary Warrior competition.
