Lore

The Black Mountains rise up from the Ghoulish Boglands at the foot of the enormous Mount Umbra. The range is bordered on its western side by the Quantum Shadow, which has coated the face in an impenetrable sludge, earning the mountains their name.

Ghouls from the Boglands roam the lower reaches of the range in its entirety, and travelers in these parts should take extreme caution, or avoid the area altogether.
