The Spike
Lore
Though hundreds of miles away, Dread Tower casts a watchful gaze over the enormous Spike. Scraping the bottoms of ashen clouds, this iron colossus is a monument to cold solitude and hopeless despair. The wound in the earth, from which the Spike protrudes, has never healed. Though the land around it is utterly decayed, The Spike stands firm—unbroken—for as long as time has been recorded. Stark against a pallid sky, its presence is known for uncomfortable amounts of distance.
Its origins and age are not known, but Liches seem to be in awe of its enduring strength. They pray to it in unsavory tongues as if it were a holy symbol.
