Wizard Wednesday Episode 67 December 14, 2022 (1)

=

Jitcy: [00:00:00] It is Wednesday. We're wizards and we're doing the empty shake. Look at that discord. Look at the secret tower. I did not know we had so many different versions of the empty shake, but damn

it's empty. Shake Wednesday, uh, chitting in from the quantum Downs. This is your host and cult leader, elf J Troll. Joining me is

Elf: Doda

Dotta: and Ner. Hello.

Jitcy: And uh, we've got jitsu up here. Hey jitsu.

Bearsnake: Oh God, this

Jitcy: cold ball again. What up? And uh, I see William has come up. Hello

Bearsnake: Cricket. Next.

Jitcy: Um, [00:01:00] But, uh, yeah, welcome everybody. Uh, we've got a big show ahead of us. Um, uh, but, uh, I'm just gonna warn you now, um, you better all behave because if you're gonna act like that, I won't effing tell

Elf: you about my wizard. Shit. Uh, that's,

Jitcy: that's the first thing I just wanna get out there. Um, but yeah, we've got a lot of cult questions to go over.

Some updates. Uh, the three of us were, uh, we went on the Ros, uh, rug Radio show today. Um, we'll talk a little bit about that. Um, we've got, uh, some purple wizard lore that I want to go over, um, and some, uh, some really good cult content. Uh, so let's, uh, jump right in. Um, Let's, uh, let's start with some of the cult questions that I'm seeing with the Secret Tower.

Uh, so Slim, uh, is asking when other beast [00:02:00] mounts. I think he's asking, slim wants something beyond just a pony. Um, you know, we don't have anything planned, but honestly it's a really fun idea and it's definitely something that we certainly have

Elf: thought about before. Um, bear

Jitcy: do jitsu. You got any input on that?

Dotta: Yeah, I mean, I'd love to, right. I think that was kind of, um, I don't know if I'm revealing too much, but like, one of the ideas we've tossed around is this idea that like the Familiars and like the Beasts are like different kind of well sizes of a lot of the same species. And so, um, this idea that there's maybe sort of.

Um, intermediate size, like mountable size, uh, of some of the creatures that we've seen, plus maybe some new, new species we haven't seen so far. I, we'd love to do it. Love to do it, I think. Yeah. Uh, you know, you can imagine sort of, uh, uh, warriors riding Griffin, like characters and things like that, [00:03:00] but frankly, I don't think we're gonna do anytime soon.

Like, we're not going to release new character tokens, uh, anytime soon.

Elf: Yep.

Jitcy: Yep. Um, Barry, anything to add?

Bearsnake: No, not really. I'm I, I'm, I'm working away on something right now. Hopefully it's done by the end of Wizard Wednesday. Um, and

Elf: I can talk about it.

Jitcy: Oh yeah, we'll, well let, let's get to the b update from the Barric cave on the beach in a little

Elf: bit later.

Yeah. Later. Later. Yeah. Yeah, cuz I, I, I want to go back to that sound effect we used to use, but, uh, but that's later.

Jitcy: Um, Emma, uh, is asking, yeah,

Dotta: Farco had, uh, like a whole soundboard on Rug radio. He had. Yeah. He had, he even had jingles, he had like a custom theme song for his deal. His regular members had a theme song and I was like, man, we gotta up our soundboard, so we should put blog on that.

Bearsnake: Yeah. He's, he's got a professional thing running over there and, you know, I got in, I got into listening to a show, um, a couple months ago and. [00:04:00] Maybe even before that, just to like, keep a pulse on, on what's going on, which I think is why most people go over there. And, and just a ton of respect. He's, you know, I think we started it off Dodi.

You were being like, uh, you know, we thought we were, we were consistent doing once a week. This guy does like a multiple shows a day every single day. So it was very nice to be on there.

Jitcy: It's wild. Is it, is it Farro

Elf: or Farco? I thought it was farro.

Bearsnake: It's it's farro.

Elf: It's, what did I

Jitcy: say? You said, you said Farco, which

Dotta: is

Bearsnake: like

Dotta: Fal Gore, Falco Moon child.

Jitcy: Um, okay. Yeah. So Emma is asking y'all ready for, uh, to take a break for the holidays? Uh, Emma, I don't know if we

Elf: are going to take a break. Uh, wizards never sleep. Um, don't tell my wife. Maybe,

Jitcy: maybe one day, uh, for Christmas and one day for New Year's. But that's about it. Um, [00:05:00]

Elf: uh, you know, it's, it's funny actually.

We had a, uh, me and Bear had a meeting with Derek, uh, Colstad the other day. Um, we're just, you know, we're just working on stuff. And,

Jitcy: uh, he even said, I was so, so surprised. He said, listen guys, I'm working all through the break. If you want to call me on Christmas Day, that's totally fine. And Bear was like, you do not know what you just agreed to.

Mm-hmm. Um, so, so, yeah. Uh, par no, no, uh, no rest for the Wicked. Um, uh, o is

Elf: asking, uh, some really good questions. We could actually devote like a whole 20 minutes to the, to the question that O is asking. Um, but if we could give a short answer, he asks, uh, what

Jitcy: are the team's biggest learnings

Elf: from 2022? Uh, mistakes, regrets, aspirations,

Jitcy: um, Any comment on that donor or bear?

Dotta: I've been thinking about that since he posted it and I was like, oh, this is, this is heavy. Yeah. [00:06:00] I don't, I don't think there's like, enough time has passed even. I think that, like, I think that one of the things that I remember so poignantly around this year was the weekend that, um, that the other side land dropped and that they burned like $150 million worth of Ethan Gas, like in the gas race.

Mm-hmm. And I just remember thinking like, Ooh, that's not good for warriors. Oh, well. And just like going, going ahead and just feeling like, I think I got better at maybe reading kind of, uh, I don't know, moments for when crypto was ready for certain things over the year. Um, But I don't know. I think like in terms of how to operate, we, we talked about this a couple weeks ago, right?

Like in terms of like how to manage people in discords, how to set expectations. Well, I could talk more, but, sorry, you took a breath.

Elf: Oh,

I

Jitcy: was just gonna say, I regret letting Chatta bob into the

Elf: [00:07:00] cult cause uh, he brought the Abom

Dotta: I

Bearsnake: support you. Chatta. I support you

Jitcy: Chatta. No, uh, no I do too. Um, I'm only saying that cuz he's is specifically saying don't say cucu dogs. Uh, but frankly, um, I think we've done everything perfect and I've learned nothing. Um, that's like,

Dotta: that's scary. I think I've learned a lot around like just how to treat people fairly.

Like I think for me a lot of the learnings have come from being like cult leader, right? And so, uh, it's this idea around like trying to, um, keep eternal big family Christmas party vibes and then like sort of act as best I can in a way that like is helpful and moderating what I should and letting people have space when they need it.

And I think like, you know, I think it's, it's quite easy the, the sort of like, Um, instinct to like, you know, give your friends inside information or something like that. [00:08:00] And, you know, thankfully I've been surrounded by people who are close to me who like, don't expect anything like that. And I think just getting better at kind of making sure that, you know, that sort of information is power and sharing everything with everyone equally, and making announcements on all the right channels, the right time.

You know, I've learned a lot in terms of working with a team. Like, I can't tell you how many times when we started scaling up that I would just like make an announcement before telling anybody at Magic Machine. And then everyone would be like, Doda, why did you do that? And I was just like, oh yeah, just like, I was just like on my mind to like tell everyone I was ready.

And they're like, no, you gotta like clear it with us. That's why you hired us. Like, because we're working together. And so I think, yeah, I think I've learned a lot just kind of helping manage the team, manage the community. That's where a lot of my learnings have

Elf: been from. Uh, yeah.

Jitcy: Speaking of that, did you see when fricking Bear Snake leaked the, the plushie that we're building without even asking?

Dotta: He

Bearsnake: Yeah. I was just trying to be like, Doda.

Dotta: Yeah, exactly. It was fine. I, you know, I, and he didn't ask, but he did give us a heads up. He gave

Elf: [00:09:00] us about 30 seconds.

Jitcy: He gave us like five seconds. Heads up. Yeah.

Dotta: It's like, all right. I mean, I guess we're doing this, I'm so excited about

Elf: the Chimera. Plushie. Yep.

Bearsnake: Yeah, no, about, can I, can I talk about this past year? Yes. And my regrets. Sure. Yeah. Go for it. Oh, sure. My regrets are that, uh, well, I don't know if they're regrets, but really it's more just about like, I need, I want to get better at. Focusing on things at the right time. And it's kind of what you were talking about Doda is like, I think, I think a lot of people are, tend to tend to like, look at what we're doing and say, oh, like you're doing too much.

Um, and uh, and, and I really, really, really, really disagree with that. Um, because if, if you're good at your job, you can do and you have the right team, um, and you know the right people and, and you've built companies before, like there is no, like, [00:10:00] don't you always talk about like there's no speed limit, right?

And so yes. So I, I really believe that that's how, like, I've always lived my life. I've never like been able to put it so eloquently. But, um, the thing that I, I do want to get, I do want to get better, is like, uh, I don't know. I. There's, I think there's this weight that the three of us and the entire Magic Machine team have that we put on ourselves is to like, just provide, uh, value, you know, um, to the people who are in the cult and the people who believe in us.

And, and so like, I, I feel like, um, I don't know where this sends me in the future emotionally, but I just feel like I, we, I want to do better at like, sort of delivering on that promise. Um, even though we're, you know, we're going 24 hours a day, I just feel like we can always do a little bit better, you know?

And so, uh, I'm gonna, I, I wanna try to, try to do a little bit better

Elf: next year. I, you're better

Dotta: [00:11:00] there. I don't, I don't, I, you know, it's easy. I've looked at projects that I've done before with regret, like in terms of programming, and I've been like, ah, I spent so much time on like the build system or whatever, that I didn't actually ship the product, right?

Like I've made that mistake in my past before, but I definitely don't look back on the Year of Magic Machine and be like, we tried to do too much and so we were spread too thin because, Yeah. Part of what we've tried to do is this very high leverage in terms of, like, the Universe Game is a partnership with By Sonic, and so they have 40 people working on it.

And so while we check in with them, we talk with them, we help them advise them. It's not like the Magic machine is distracted for, you know, 40 hours a week for multiple people to build that. And similarly with the, with the television show, right? It's not like me and Gypsy are sitting down drawing the frames for that trailer, right?

Like, we hire, we and, and we like recruit other people to help us. And so I think, [00:12:00] like

Elf: I. Yeah, doing too.

Jitcy: Magic is not one request, but if, if anyone at Magic

Elf: Machine was gonna draw the frames, it would definitely be you and Jitsu. Yeah, exactly. I agree. Pulls out pencil, the coloring

Dotta: book. Yeah,

Bearsnake: I just added it to Asana.

Jitcy: Um, okay. Yeah, no, uh, I, I think we can maybe like get it, get more

Elf: into that in, in another show. Because one

Jitcy: thing that's coming up is we,

Elf: so last year at the end of the year, we put out that infographic that showed, here's all the shit we accomplished. Um, and, and we wanna do another one of those. And perhaps part of that discussion will also be like maybe, you know, ways that we could have improved.

I don't know.

Jitcy: Um,

Elf: but yeah, I think we can come back to this question for sure and give it more thought. Um, okay, so sh Lee and Emma are both asking about parties. Lee is asking,

Jitcy: uh, NYC party next summer. Emma's asking an about an LA party. Um, I'm gonna go ahead and say that we don't have anything planned at the moment, but [00:13:00] like these things often,

Elf: um, pop up at the last minute.

So I don't know. Bear, do you wanna say anything about that? Yeah, I don't think we're gonna

Dotta: do a big party like we did at this N F T NYC in part because it's four months away. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Bearsnake: Oh God, that's right. Yeah. And, and, and it's unfortunate that that conference moved their timeline up so that N F T LA is in March, and then they moved theirs up to April, which is just like so obnoxious and not cool, um, because there's only so many trips people can go on.

And, um, but anyway, uh, you know, there's an idea that I actually shared in Discord, um, that is not like the party in New York, but I think it'd be very cool. There's this place called the Magic Castle, um, which is, you know, we don't have to, like, you know, in New York, we basically took an empty box of a room, a huge empty box, um, and just converted it and had to build every little thing.

And so [00:14:00] I think there's something really fun in the Magic House that we could do in la. Um, and so I'm working on sort of the beginnings of that. Um, but yeah, I think other than that, I'm not sure. E exactly what all the plans are. Exact, you know, all the plans. But I, I would like to do something on the west coast, cause we did something on the East coast last, last year, or this year.

It's crazy. It was only six months ago, I'll tell you that.

Elf: Yep, yep. I, I love the live events. They're, they're always just so worth it. Um, yeah. And one funny thing that we always come away with is like,

Jitcy: wow, this person that I see on Twitter

Elf: and in Discord is not like they, I imagine them to be, uh, like, like the real

Jitcy: life, the reality is always conflicts

Elf: heavily with the online persona, I feel like.

Um, but uh, maybe that's just me.

Jitcy: Um, I dunno, I don't know.

Dotta: I feel like you could pick Shark Child out of a crowd. Maybe that was the eyeball

Elf: [00:15:00] backpack.

Jitcy: Uh, maybe. Yeah, maybe. But other people not so much. Um, Whatever. Uh, okay. So the next question is, okay, this is, uh, an ongoing

Elf: everlasting debate that will never end.

Ster says, what color are cobalts? Basically, see, I, I don't even,

Bearsnake: we can't even get

Elf: into it cause you we're, you know

Jitcy: what? We're not gonna get into it, but here's what we are gonna do. Jitsu. Now think about, think very

Elf: carefully about how you answered this, because you've got

Jitcy: a lot writing on this. Yeah.

Sammy Kitty, uh, has asked you a question today on Twitter jitsu. What color are cos?

Dotta: Oh, see, be

Bearsnake: careful, JIT.

Jitcy: Be careful. Jitsu, I, I feel like I answered that question very well with

Dotta: a color. Private. Private.

Jitcy: Yeah. Well, one in private, one in, in that thread that was a combination of green and [00:16:00] yellow. Right. So, um, okay.

But just, just see, before you say anything, just remember it like, Whatever you say, Sammy has to be happy with your answer. Okay. To receive the cup too. She said Exactly. If I, if I admit to what I honestly think about the color of it, then she'd say, she'd send me the cup and I bring your principles. No.

Right. I believe in chaos. Mute. The color of chaos. Okay. Well, listen, I, it's not up to me to say that's, uh, an appropriate answer. It's up to Sammy, so you can, you can hash it out with her. Yeah. So it'll be a bummer if I don't receive it, but I understand why I wouldn't at the same time. Um, yeah, we'll talk later about cult content, but like right away that, that mug you made,

Elf: Sammy is, is excellent.

Um, I love it. It's so fun. Yeah, it's

Jitcy: so fun. Um, okay, uh, legist has a question about, [00:17:00] um, he says, why is there no, uh, elf

Elf: traits in the collection? I think he's specifically asking about like elf heads.

Jitcy: Um, that's a, that's a fun question. Uh, and there's, there's multiple ways to answer it. Um, I think first and foremost, like

Elf: when I was making all the heads and deciding like what kinds of races and creatures should be in it, um, I, I just felt that like elves were kind of overplayed in the fantasy genre.

Um, and so I didn't wanna put them in the forgotten rooms collection. However,

Jitcy: that is not to say that there are no elves living in the universe because,

Elf: um, as I think V mark pointed out, there is an Elvin cloak, um, which

Jitcy: sort of implies that there are elves in the universe. Um, so I don't know. I guess that's all I can say.

Now,

Elf: that doesn't mean there will never be elves represented in some way, uh, in the universe. Um, [00:18:00] but that's, that's all I'm gonna say for now. Um, your

Dotta: arch nemesis just posted like a Pantone color of, uh, cobalts, uh, to, to green Pantone. So yeah, Chet, Bob Chta, Bob, the packaging designer, has the, the real Pantone chips.

Jitcy: Um, yeah, and, uh, I see that the label on these Pantone, uh, says yellow. So yellow, yellow. So thanks for solving, thanks for answering it. Uh, according, it's wrong one. Sammy and I are right and jits is wrong.

Um, okay. And then, uh, speaking of colors, uh, Matto is asking, uh, how blasted off would you get?

Elf: Uh, from Purple Hat

Jitcy: Haze. Um, so we're gonna talk about purple lore. Purple hat lore. Later. Um, this also meadow, this also feels like a follow up from the spaces

Elf: that you and I were on yesterday with [00:19:00] o uh, where we talked about psychedelics, um, and art and a bunch of other things.

Um, so let me,

let

Jitcy: me save my answer to this question. Uh, when we dive into the Purple Hat lore, uh, Snoop Doug is asking Win comic book with Toro in it. Uh, that's a fun question. I love Toro. He's one of my

Elf: favorite

Jitcy: characters in the collection. Um, I'm obviously not gonna spoil, uh, when or if

Elf: Toro appears in any of the comics, but Bear, do you wanna get him any comic updates?

Bearsnake: Oh, geez. Well, we finished issue number two officially. It looks un. Freaking believable. Yeah. Um, Riley's getting started. Riley Brown, uh, um, illustrator extraordinaire has been, who's been drawing Deadpool for over 10 years, uh, has signed on to do the remaining nine issues. Um, he's, uh, he's started on the third, or I guess it would be technically issue number

Elf: [00:20:00] two.

Yeah, lemme, lemme just

Jitcy: clear that up. This is the second comic book,

Elf: but it's actually issue number one. Yes.

Bearsnake: And I am so freaking close to closing a deal with like, one of the, the top, top, top tippy tippy, tippy top comic book publishers. Um, tippy top, the tippy to the tip top, and, um, and it's just, it's killing me.

Uh, I'm, I swear you guys ask me. I'm not teasing on purpose. But like it should be closed soon. And what I really love about that is, you know, we did this first comic book, uh, sort of on our own scotch tape. Uh, and, and it was amazing. Um, but now like to have the heft of a major comic book publisher to push it out and market it and distribute it, get all the right people reviewing it, um, I'm just over the moon.

And of course it's, it certainly helps when you, you know, when you put a video game on top of [00:21:00] that. And then, you know, you talk about television series that has all these things going, um, and merchandise lines and stuff. So like to me it's, it may not be like a big money maker for us, but it certainly is, uh, a crucial piece to this like IP franchise.

Um, and yeah, so, so that's where we're at. I think, you know, entertainment people sort of take off after. Thanksgiving, um, because they're lazy. Uh, uh, sorry to the people that we work with. Uh, I love you. Um, but you know that that stuff will be coming out soon. I think you'll be excited.

Jitcy: Yeah. I'm gonna go ahead and say that Bear Snake has about three awesome things,

Elf: um, that

Jitcy: he's just sitting on and he refuses to announce in Wizard Wednesday, and it's 100% due to his just,

Elf: um, desire to never share anything.

Uh, it has nothing to do with the third

Jitcy: party people being slow. Uhhuh Uhhuh. No, just kidding. [00:22:00] No, but, but seriously, he, we do have just some amazing things coming up and I'm not even talking about the Goblin town game that Doda has devoted his life to lately. It's, uh, it's just like these other

Elf: things that I just, I cannot freaking wait until we get to talk about No, there's a handful of things.

Bearsnake: The new comics, wait, wait, wait. There's a handful of things. Like, there's, there's a handful of things that are legitimately, like if you could like dream up. The thing to do, make your project more well known and blue chip or whatever. Like it, it's like it's happening. So just sit tight and I, we promise you guys will be happy.

I promise. Promise,

Elf: sit tight.

Dotta: The new comic is quite, uh, different than the, I feel like I just sucked

Elf: all the air outta No, not at all.

Jitcy: No, you're good.

Dotta: The, the. The first comic was kind of like setting the table for a lot of the different characters that will appear in future [00:23:00] issues. This issue number one, is um, it's more or less like one story all the way through.

Um, and so it's really captivating. You can just like sit down and, and read through it and it's one big story, which I super love. Also, you know, it's a different artist from the first comic book. It, uh, well, gosh, it's just so good. I guess. I don't wanna like com compare and contrast, but I'm just very excited to get it out in everybody's

Elf: hands.

Jitcy: Yep. Um, and then final cult question I'm seeing is, uh, it looks like a new person in the Discord named Shark Attack. Um, I think he's just generally asking where's the best place to learn more about the project, which is, you know, always an ongoing

Elf: question. It's always a thing that we are always wrestling with at Magic Machine.

Um, you know, for now I will say,

Jitcy: uh, The website as complicated. It is. It's still a really good resource. Our Twitter timeline

Elf: asking questions and the

Jitcy: discord is always good. [00:24:00] Um, but, but speaking of the website, we are, uh, in the process of updating it, organizing it, and making it

Elf: as easier to use. Um, and I, I know I probably said that last week and the week before, but, uh, it's, it's definitely happening.

Um, we also ha we also have a w a wiki called Wikipedia, which, uh, sort of dives deep into the lore of the universe. Um, it's ever expanding. Uh, so that's my answer to that question. Doda or Barry, you got anything on that?

Um, guess not. I mean,

Dotta: we need to like, You know, it's just a constant, it's just a constant challenge, which is like, we'll write an introductory page and then like it goes out a date in six months. And so yeah, we're working on the website, we're redesigning the website. Um,

Jitcy: yep. Yeah.

Elf: Yep, yep,

Jitcy: yep. Okay, so I think that's all the cult questions for [00:25:00] today.

Uh, so yeah, one big thing that happened today was we went on

Elf: Faros show today. Um, if you weren't

Jitcy: there, um, I just wanted to like, expand on

Elf: something that I was talking about, uh, in, in the show. But, uh, before I do that, Bardo, do you guys wanna say anything

Jitcy: about that? No, you're good. Just go for it. Yeah.

Okay. Sure. Yeah. So,

Elf: Um, I, I, I briefly touched on this idea that, uh, intellectual property or IP is an asset that its value is more or less limitless. Um, you've got, you know, you've got like traditional assets like gold and real estate, oil, equities, cash cars, jewelry, you know, a bunch of standard assets. And, and it's really easy to place a valuation on those.

Um, the, you know, the, their value has material and tangible [00:26:00] use. Um, but intellectual property is not material and its utility is not directly obvious. And yet I would argue that it's potentially the most valuable asset on earth. Um, It's almost impossible to calculate a valuation of good ip. You just, you can't put a price on it.

And so, um, you take an IP like Dracula, uh, which is like a character IP that's derived from the vampire archetype, and it's, it's literally limitless what you can do with that. Um, you know, there there's books and films, toys, games, Halloween costumes, uh, just the, the, the media and merch industry effectively prints money with this ip.

Um, and, and, and like a true vampire, this character never dies. Uh, good IP never dies. Um, I mean, even with the [00:27:00] case of Dracula, if, if culture moves past Dracula, uh, you just meme a derivative of him. And the machine lives on, um, you know, you've got a thousand derivative vampire ips, uh, that will endure for eternity.

Uh, because why? Because the IP speaks to something deep within the human soul. Um, An idea that is connected to the soul will always outperform any asset on the planet. Um, and so this is why I love Forgotten Ruins, because thematically and, and genre wise, our IP is built on these soul wrapped archetypes.

Um, forgotten wounds isn't just some flash in the pan. Uh, alert alliterative animal, N f t built on speculative hype. Um, This shit is forged in the fires of history. [00:28:00] Uh, this shit was here on day, freaking one. The lore that you write for your wizards and warriors and souls and ponies. It was not really created the day that you put it in the book of lore.

It was written thousands of years ago, and you are just pulling it from the collective consciousness that's hardcoded into your d n A. Okay? So, you know, compete with that stock market, uh, compete with that gold or real estate or Lamborghini. Um, this, this stuff is ancient and it, it's the height of culture.

It's, it's the culmination of all that humanity holds dear. Um, and so, you know, I, I, I think NFTs are, are going to be the most valuable, um, sector of crypto. Um, And,

Jitcy: and, and there. And then there's, there's, there's another sort of

Elf: interesting component that, that's sort of swimming around in my [00:29:00] head, and

Jitcy: this might sound controversial

Elf: and if, if somebody disagrees, please come up and say, but I'm thinking about the thing that makes a lot of assets, uh, valuable is, has to deal with scarcity.

Um, and the opposite of that is, is abundance. And so with, with most material assets, scarcity plays a really critical role in the value. Um, the less of something there is, the more valuable it is provided that it's gotta demand. This is basic economics. Um, but with an immaterial asset like intellectual property, um, I'm, I'm wondering if, uh, the more there is of it, the more, the more valuable it is because I.

You know, culture that spreads is valuable. Memes that are copied infinitely are, are more valuable. An idea that permeate permeates through the collective consciousness, the more it does that, the more powerful it is. And so how does that relate to forgotten ruin or, or [00:30:00] NFTs? Um, you know, I, I'm not saying we're gonna like double the Wizard supply next month or ever.

I'm just, I'm just like wondering like, Like, I don't know. What if, what if we eventually we did like a character collection of a hundred thousand characters just to expand the world. Um, that would certainly bring more people in. It would spread the meme, it would grow the collective consciousness. Um, and to me that that doesn't dilute the current character collections we have it, it makes them more aspirational because it has more eyes looking up to them and more brains in awe of them.

Um, and so I don't know, there, there's just, there's something here where I just think that the abundance is actually what makes immaterial assets more valuable. Um, but I don't know. Donor bear jitsu, do you guys have any thoughts on that or, or anyone else really?

Dotta: Yeah, I do think, um, this idea, well, uh, [00:31:00] There, right?

There's like the, uh, uh, harra in view, like from Sapiens that it's the, the meme is sort of like the essential, like unit of thought, right? And that it's like everything from, um, like what we consider memes, like advice, animals, all the way up to, you know, let's say the US dollar or like countries themselves, right?

Are all just sort of like ideas in people's minds. And, and it's this argument that kind of, um, we're at now that we are, uh, we have social media. We live in this like, Connected consciousness that it's those who best control the memes, who can control, um, well like the will of the people essentially, and what they work on.

And so, I mean, that was one of the reasons why I knew we had to hire, uh, mag Wasier, the one who rings, is because we needed kind of this like great meme maker because like memes don't have to be trivial. It's this idea that you're sort of like, um, setting the context and the framing [00:32:00] for like a point of view.

And so, um, well, I think within that, the idea that we can use, um, these wizard character tokens and the warrior character tokens to sort of tell stories that like, um, make the world a better place is extremely important.

Bearsnake: I also think it's, um, this idea of scale, like this idea of bringing, giving the opportunity for.

For people to come into our, you know, forgotten ruins. Ecosystem is super important, right? And that can look, uh, a bunch of different ways. Um, I think that where it gets interesting is, is the tokens and the, the economics behind, you know, more and more tokens. But I think as time goes on, there's, there's interesting ways to sort of bring people in.

Like what does it look like when the show launches, the video game launches and, and people are interacting with forgotten rooms who, who don't own a character [00:33:00] when the promise of the project is to like, have a piece of it, even in a very small way. And so I think there's gonna be some really cool ways we can, we can sort of onboard people and, you know, what is that like apprentice tier where you get them in, you get them hooked, you get them creating, um, and they work their way up.

Uh, Um, to owning a

Dotta: wizard, you know? Yeah. And the supply issue, what you're saying is like, oh, what if there are a hundred thousand characters or something? And I think like it's easy for me to straddle both sides in terms of like, I know you well, and I understand kind of like what you're saying in terms of this like grand vision 10 years from now and there's millions of people with NFTs and sort of, there's enough room to kind of like have other people contribute while at the same time I could imagine someone listening in being like, oh, I've forgotten Ruins is planning on, you know, 20 xing the supply or something.

Which is not at all what we intend to do. Not at

Bearsnake: all what I'm saying. No, no, no. And it's not what I'm saying either. And I think there's like a time and a place for that, right? Like there's a way to bring people [00:34:00] into our ecosystem without. Sort of, sort of herding the, you know, the economics or the

Dotta: token Holics and I, and I think we can talk about this now, we were like a, I don't know, launch example of Party Dow.

Um, Nisi was working with them and the one who rings too. I, I believe they launched. Um, I dunno if you've tried it, but it's really cool. So Party Dow is, uh, Like, I'll take a tangent here. So Party DAO is basically like, um, it's like a single purpose multisig for like, uh, sharing NFTs with your friends. So it's really cool.

So, um, what you, what we basically did is, is I think it was, was, and nis, they basically, you, you go and you contribute pools to, uh, you contribute ETH to buy an N F T. Um, and then you basically have like shared governance controller over the, over that N F T. So they were able to write in the book of lore.

Um, and you, you know, so one person writes the lore and then the, the, the whole group kind of votes on [00:35:00] it. Um, and well, you can always choose if you wanna sell or, and you can collect airdrops. Basically it's this like shared wallet, but it's wrapped in this really friendly, like consumer level, like playful, um, end users design.

And it's, it's really great to me, party doubt. Completely felt like the future of crypto, right? It's this brand new application where you can kind of like participate in, um, like well owning assets with your friends, right? Like how, what other own asset are you gonna own with your friends, right? Like maybe you might, you know, some people maybe share like a property or a timeshare or something, but that's about it and it's really clumsy.

And so Party Dow is this really fun, like almost like an app for shared ownership and you should totally try it out. And how this relates to this, which is like, You can imagine, for example, um, you know, let's take I don't Harry Potter for example. Um, you could imagine that if you wanted to contribute to sort, sort of like, uh, you know, the lore of Hermione or [00:36:00] something, you could imagine buying into a Dow that has this shared ownership of this character and then sort of when you create your fan content, it's all like contributing up to like the ownership, even if it's the fractional ownership of a larger character.

Right? I think that's one of the things that we even find now is that people who own a lot of wizards sort of say, well, I don't have enough time to even develop, um, the character for more than one or two. Um, and so I actually think there's a really interesting idea around groups of people coming around one character, because then you sort of share the burden of the, the character creation, and then you also share on the upside

Jitcy: bridge.

Did you have a comment? Yeah. Sorry guys. I was running all over the place trying to get the keyboard then I was trying to get the headphones, so, okay. I'm ready. Sure.

Dotta: Hey, uh,

Jitcy: I think this is like a project defining topic because Forgotten Rooms is one of the only projects that's been pulling this off.

Well, and when I heard you guys talking about it with Farco, Faroq, uh, I, [00:37:00] a lot of people won't understand, uh, the difference between IP and lo. Oh yeah. So I think, I think the distinction to be made is, is how we view lore versus IP and, and how it's distributed. So definitely to elf's point, the founders can create a bunch of IP for the community to interact with, and then the community can create their own LO and how that becomes IP is a big question mark.

So that's, you know, I think that's a fair distinction to, to, to go over is the di the, the difference between LO and ip. Yeah. I love that. No, that's, that's super interesting. Um,

Elf: because the, you know, there's obviously a lot of overlap between these two things. Um, but I mean, I guess one is like more bound by legal construct and one of 'em is just sort of, uh, artistic content.

Um, but, but yeah, no, that's, that's super interesting. I'd have to [00:38:00] formulate my thoughts more clearly on that.

Jitcy: Um, I think that's the main distinction. One, one currently has legal precedence and the other is a web three medium lore. Mm-hmm.

Elf: Right, right. Um,

Jitcy: but yeah, I don't know. It's, uh, it's just, you know, it's obviously something we're always thinking

Elf: about.

Um, and I think like

Jitcy: I. You know, a lot of pro projects focused on, sorry, a lot of projects focus on,

Elf: uh, tokens and, um, just more like hard coded blockchain mechanics. Um, and I feel like at least, at least for me, um, I, I think the main value prop of Forgotten Ruins is in the more, uh, the, the lore based, um, uh, stuff.

Um, the character based stuff, the, the, the media, the art, the story. Um, and, and, and I just, you know, maybe I just keep saying that because that's, it's, it's got the weight of history behind [00:39:00] it. And me and Bear have been working in the entertainment industry for years and we know like, what you can do with this stuff.

Um, and it, you know, it, it, it, it,

Jitcy: uh, it, it's,

Elf: it's got a grip on the culture. I mean, people love music, film, art media, um, Even people who say they hate art, they watch movies, they listen to music, um, you know, it's, it speaks deep to the deep into the human soul. So I just think that's where the potential lies with this stuff.

Um, but yeah,

Jitcy: I don't know. Bear Dodo, did anything else stand out to you from that for Oak

Elf: Spaces? It was, it was fun.

Bearsnake: Yeah. I really liked it. I mean, I, I got rubbed as I have been all day long. Something's going on with my Twitter, um, which was ironic being on Rug Radio. Uh, something that I wanted to talk about was, uh, b for Goblin Town.

Um, I don't think we got a chance, unless, unless y'all talked about it while I was talked. I talked about it

Dotta: right at the end. Yeah.

Bearsnake: [00:40:00] Okay. Good, good. Um, yeah,

Dotta: yeah, yeah. Well, I think, yeah, with that space, um, we didn't talk enough about the book of lore. Um, I think we're trying to like, read the room in terms of like the, a lot of that, a lot of that space was just like the ABCs of forgotten rooms.

Right. And I feel like, yeah, we say we've, we've had, we've said that those things so many times we say the same thing over and over and um, and people are always one, they're like kind of surprised at how far we've gotten. They're surprised at how many things we're doing or, or that have been done already.

And so I, you know, I don't know how to solve that issue of like, that they, you know, we've been around 18 months and they haven't even really heard about all the things we've done other than just like, keep going on these spaces and keep talking about it until people stop inviting us. Or they ask for the, you know, the, the more advanced course and forgotten ruined.

So

Bearsnake: yeah, I think it's, it's, it's something that I'll, I'll continue to spend more time on, um, speaking to sort of the [00:41:00] larger NFT Web three community. Cuz I think whenever we, we do have the opportunity, I think people, um, People respond pretty well to it. Totally. And they are surprised. They are surprised in, in a good way.

Um, and so, you know, I think a lot of it also is the things that we're working on will sort of come to bear and they'll launch and, you know, we'll, we'll prep those launches with, with a lot of, you know, I mean, we call it marketing, it sounds so corporate, but like, you know, getting on spaces, talking to people.

Um, so it's definitely something that, um, I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be focusing on and building those relationships. Uh, but we, you know, I think we might have said it. I'm like, you know, after Miami, it is just unbelievable the the level of holders that we have, um, walking into some rooms of, of people that are moving this entire market, you know, left or right or, or down the center.

Um, the, the [00:42:00] response that, uh, I get when, when I say I'm on team forgotten ruins is, is just, it's just immaculate. And so all the people that I have the most respect for know what we're doing. Um, and, uh, it's just, to me that's like, you know, to me, to me that's where that's, that's we're building for what the next med is going to be.

It's never gonna be like it was, uh, last year, the first half of this year. Not to say there's not gonna be another bull that will be, but I think people in the market are gonna react differently and value certain, you know, certain things that, uh, maybe they didn't value before. And I think we're sort of set up for success there.

Dotta: I love, I'm just sitting here thinking about, uh, That, that, that mapping from lore to ip. Right. And I've, I've just been stewing on it since you said it. And the Yeah, I, I guess that the, the way that I think about it is, is it's this idea that you just like create the, the lore [00:43:00] almost just for like the pure joy and the pure art of it.

And you like use the IP when you're kind of trying to monetize something that you've, that you've made out in the world. And so that when I actually, when I think about like we've talked about binary star, which is a bit slow right now. I'm focusing on Goblin town and because there's not a lot of IP revenue coming in yet.

Um, when I think about binary star, you can almost imagine the slogan, which is like, Turn your lower into ip. I mean, maybe that's a bit too abstract for people to really understand as a pitch, but I think that is kind of like what we're trying to do there, right? It's like, take this story that you've created, these ideas that you've created, and then turn it into this kind of like, um, revenue generating property.

So that's, that's very interesting.

Elf: Yep.

Jitcy: Um, you know, speaking of

Elf: lore, um, and speaking of Goblin Town, um,

Jitcy: one

Elf: thing I've, I've been seeing that I really love, this is kind of a pivot, but, um, [00:44:00] when, when we first, uh, started talking about making this Goblin town game, um, I think we started talking about it like last summer and we had it all planned out and then literally like a week after we planned it out, the Goblin town WTF project dropped and we were like, oh shit, what do we do now?

Jitcy: People are gonna think we're copying them and there's gonna be confusion and blah, blah, blah. And so fast forward to now. We've gotten to know the goblin down Goblin

Elf: town team. Um, they're awesome. We

Jitcy: love them. We love their project, and there's, there's a lot of like cross lore pollination

Elf: happening between our two projects, and it's only making both of us stronger.

There's no confusion. There's no like, problem at all. It's,

Jitcy: it's all good.

Elf: Um, and, and that's how like, really good culture spreads. That's how really good culture, uh, and, and lore, uh, is created is, is there's a lot of just like cross pollination between two [00:45:00] separate things. Um, and so, you know, we've been seeing some really fun things on the, uh, on the, the goblin town Twitter.

Um, and I'm just, I'm just so delighted that it, that it rolled out, uh, in, in, in this way. Um, but yeah, I mean, bar Doty, you guys remember when, when, uh, when we were first a little anxious about even using the term goblin town?

Dotta: Yeah, I mean I wasn't that anxious about it in so far as like, I just feel like, well, goblin Town is an idea that, that even like we used it in Forgotten Ruins because it was an idea

Elf: that was like in, that was already out there.

Yeah, exactly.

Jitcy: Yeah. No, all, all cultures derivative. But I'm just saying like on crypto Twitter, like you say the word Goblin Town, it was right suddenly

Elf: very much associated with that project. I

Dotta: think it was mostly just that we didn't want them to feel like we were intruding on their space. And then we like, yeah, for sure Met the Truth team.

You guys hung out with them [00:46:00] and like, one of the things I remember, well, we had a call with them and we love them, and then you guys hung out with them and you just came back and you're like, oh, they're just like such good people. They're like, yeah, you know, they're kind of like quiet. They're very like kind and um, well, and so I think that, yeah, we like them a lot and so it was, if they don't, you know, they weren't upset about it at all, so it's just a good collaboration.

Yeah.

Elf: Well, yes, and, and

Jitcy: I think another reason why it's so good is because, you know, we talked about this

Elf: last week, like when Bar and I went to Miami and we, we, we went to the Goblin town party. They have such a distinctly defined culture, like every element of their project and, and, and just who they are is, is very defined.

I mean, the, the way they talk, the way they, their, their grammar, their, uh, aesthetic, language defined, yeah, yeah. The font, the, the, uh, the party itself. Like every element was so themed, non-brand. And you, you know, you compare that to a lot of [00:47:00] other parties where you walk into the party and it just looks like a fun party.

Um, or, or there or there. Or the culture just isn't necessarily as distinct. But goin town's got a very distinct culture. I think we do too. And so when you put these things together, it's, it's just, it's like nuclear. It's, I, I love it. Um, so anyway, that's my shout out for Goblin Town. Wtf. Um,

Bearsnake: I also wanna shout out the, uh, you know, the, the, the team members who've been working on, um, The new goblin battle for Goblin Town social handle on Twitter.

Um, I'm just really loving, uh, the AI art storytelling, um, and, and think it's, you know, we're seeing a ton of really great traction. A lot of great energy, energy and engagement and, you know, there's, there's a whole bunch of stuff happening between now and when the game launches most likely, uh, in the back half of January.

Um, and yeah, so, uh, keep an eye on that stuff and, and great job [00:48:00] Jit. See. And lock,

Elf: lock. Yep, yep, yep. For sure.

Jitcy: Um, okay, we've got like 10 minutes left. Uh, should we dive into the

Elf: purple hats? Yeah,

Jitcy: let's do it. Let's do it. Um, okay. So the Purple Hats are probably my

Elf: favorite, even though I don't like, I myself don't necessarily, uh, identify with them.

Um, they're just, they're one of my favorite archetypes. Um, and it's, it's the reason that I think we wanted to use the Purple Hat as our P F P, um, it's because they're, they're sort

Jitcy: of

Elf: the quintessential wizard. Um, they are extremely talented in all sorts of magic, um, but, but particularly, really deep arcane magic of the cosmos.

Like any magic that's sort of like not of this planet, um, the Purple Wizards are particularly adept at, uh, because their, their heads are, are not even really attached [00:49:00] to reality. Um, and so, you know, one trait that you often see, Uh, of the purples is their, their magic is very ingrained. Um, meaning they, they didn't really have to train or learn it.

Uh, it was, it was just sort of a, a gift of talent that they were born with. Um, and so, you know, what, what do you often see with people who are born with great talents? Um, and, you know, one thing you see is that they don't often know how to temper that talent cuz they, they were just lived with it all their life.

Um, and so Purple Hat magic is often, um, overly complex and, and esoteric and very powerful. Um, they might even be the most overpowered wizards, uh, in the universe. Um, Uh, on the map, you'll, you'll notice a place called the Psychic Leap. Um, this is a, this is a hotspot for Purple Wizards. Uh, although their headquarters is really based in this large pavilion, uh, on the island, on this big island in the west.[00:50:00]

Um, but because the, the purples have a deep affinity, uh, uh, for magic, um, their magic often controls them other, uh, rather than the other way around. Um, because they have, they have completely given themselves over to it. Um, and so you contrast with the white hats or the blue hats, um, the white hats are kind of the opposite.

They, they have, they have supreme control over the magic to where their magic is almost non-existent. Uh, and then the blues, they have tempered their magic heavily with reason and science. But, but the whites, it's, it's pure chaos. Or, sorry, the purples, it's pure chaos. Um, They, and they just, they let this chaos just wash over and consume them.

Uh,

Jitcy: and so, you know, purples are often perceived as sort of

Elf: clumsy and goofy and silly. Um, their spells are often really loud and explosive and colorful and chaotic. [00:51:00] Um, if you were walking, if you would to, to walk into a Purple Hat's, uh, house, uh, it would be very messy. Um, their spell books are often, often incomprehensible, written in chicken scratch.

Um, and you never really know if a Purple Hat wizard has is, is just extremely powerful or if they've just lost their mind. Um, perhaps a bit of both.

Jitcy: Um, in fact,

Elf: you'll often see them on street corners, uh, almost vRAN, uh, raving about some impending magical doom. Um, and so, There's a lot of, uh, examples of, of this trope, uh, throughout, uh, media.

Um, the more,

Jitcy: uh, wholesome, good-hearted

Elf: examples of this, uh, you, you could say, uh, Merlin from Disney's King Arthur. Um, the way they depicted Merlin is, is sort of a good example of a purple hat. Uh, cuz he's messy, [00:52:00] he's kooky, he's kind of humorous. Um, he seems to have unlimited knowledge, but he can never deliver it in an organized way.

Um, and, and we see this trope of the clumsy weird wizard a lot. Uh, it's basically just a wizard that's so magical that he's, he's lost touch with reality. Um, but, but this trope can also very easily take a dark turn. Um, You could, uh, you could kind of a,

Jitcy: a, a

Elf: lesser version of this is maybe like Darth Vader.

Uh, Darth Vader is, you know, he was born with, with just a, an extremely powerful affinity to the force, and he couldn't control it, and it got the best of him. Um, another example would be like Acura, uh, from that anime slash comic book, um, Acura, uh, which was a boy who, um, basically just became so overwhelmed with this like psychic power that it just totally took control of him and he could not control it.

Um, So,

Jitcy: [00:53:00] yeah, I mean, that, that's, that's, uh, that's the purple hats. Um, they're a lot of fun.

Elf: Um, they're probably my favorite. Um, and with that, that actually, uh, uh,

Jitcy: that's all the, the

Elf: hat colors. Um, this was the last one. Um, I think next week, uh, Zel Soul was asking about the, uh, the, the, the hue hats, um, which is basically a hat that has all the colors on it.

Um, so maybe I'll get into that next week. Um, but yeah. Uh,

Jitcy: before we leave, let's go over some cult content. Um, Dota or Bear, has anything stood out to you this week?

Dotta: Oh, way to put me on the spot. So, yes.

Bearsnake: Oh, go ahead, Joda. Go ahead. No,

Dotta: no.

Bearsnake: Um, this is just fresh in my brain. Uh, and I know he's on the team, but this fast forwarding of the trailer is just cracking me up big time.

I'm not sure people have [00:54:00] seen that, but it's, it's hilarious. He's like, sped it up like 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 times. Um, acid eat had a really great, uh, piece, um, of this ship pulling up, uh, observing. Go bless. I love that piece. Yeah. Help Bay un unbelievable. Um, also big shout out to Meatball Dad. I know we've talked about it for a few months.

Um, but people are starting to receive, um, the, uh, surprise box with all the little goodies. And I, and I'm happy to report Magic Machine received hours at least partially, uh, yesterday. Um, so that, that, that's been really cool. And I, and gosh, what else? Uh,

Jitcy: yeah, I just, I just, I, I wanna, I wanna co-sign the, uh, the appreciation of the maple box.

What an awesome treat. What a trove of treasures. Um,

Elf: well done Maple. It's, it's just fantastic. [00:55:00] Um, I, yeah, I, I love it. Um, and, and I also, I also wanna say I love the acid eaters piece. Like not only was the art fun, but the little story that she wrote about it was also super cool. Um, sorry, bear I cut you off.

Bearsnake: No, I'm good. I'm good.

Jitcy: Okay, cool. Yeah. Um, and then also, um, uh, ma Friends, uh, with, uh, uh, featuring Osma, bro, there's, there's a really nice 3D piece. Um, I I, I'm guessing it's of Osma bro, uh, doing, doing a painting, um, which it is. It's just a beautiful piece. I

Elf: love it. Um,

Jitcy: Sammy's, uh, cobalt mug that is, that is clearly yellow, um, a really beautiful piece.

That's too bad that jitsu is not going to receive it. Um, uh, uh, Kmar did a really nice forge this week of, um, with his

Elf: sort of robot warrior. Yes.

Bearsnake: Oh, so good. So good. [00:56:00]

Jitcy: Yeah. You know, I, I love this Warrior's name. His name is, um, microwave impor of machines, and, uh, he, he's now got a golden sunrise, Trident.

That's my favorite weapon outta the entire collection, by the way, just going on record and saying, I love that weapon for some reason I'm so happy. It was eventually got like a gold weapon status for one of them. Yep, yep, for sure. Um, and then Il uh, attacker of wizards, one of the scariest warriors on Twitter, um, is, has showed us a really nice piece that I'm, I think is, was a commission from, um,

Elf: uh, Daniella

Jitcy: Ttra.

Really nice piece, really bloody piece. Lots, lots of skulls and blood, which is, I would expect nothing more from belay. Uh, the skull faced warrior.

Elf: Um, sorry, expect nothing less,

Jitcy: uh, from him. Um, and then, uh, one of our, our newest, uh, meme lords who just does not stop cosmic [00:57:00] birds. Um, probably the best meme I've seen all week.

Uh, I if somebody can share it in the top, but I'm gonna, I'm

Elf: gonna describe it. It's basically, uh, Tony, Montana, that scene from Scarface where he's saying, say hello to my little friend. And he's got that like, gigantic gun that he's like killing 200,

Jitcy: uh, assassins with, except it's not a gigantic gun. It is of course bread friend.

And he says, say hello to my little bread friend.

Perfect meme. Um, and then, uh, I don't know if you all saw it, but I actually commissioned, I, I believe it's my first commission from my black goat, uh, from Fiki. Um, I dunno if I talked about this last week,

Elf: but if I didn't Yeah, I feel like you

Bearsnake: shouted that out last week. Okay. You don't need to, you know.

Come on, we got it.

Jitcy: Well, it's so good. It needs to be shouted out again and I'm gonna shout it out again next week. So, uh, so here's the second shout out. Thank you Fiki. It's a beautiful piece. [00:58:00] Um, and then I actually brought Emma up here to talk about, uh, a really fantastic piece of cold content. It's, uh, it's basically an entire webpage devoted to her wizard.

So, uh, Emma, do you wanna tell us about, um, uhs?

Dotta: What's up Emma? Hi

Elf: Bees. How's

Jitcy: everyone? Yeah, it's called enig enig enigma hut.com.

Dotta: Yeah, I don't know, I just felt like I needed kind of a singular place for all of our art and

Elf: kind of her concept. Um, and I just thought this was the easiest way to do that and share it with people in a way that they could kind of look at the pretty pictures before.

Bearsnake: Hating on the N F D. It's, what is it like, what is it like inside the hot?

Elf: Uh, it's very

Jitcy: warm and there's always snacks.

Elf: Oh

Bearsnake: yeah. I like snacks.

Jitcy: No, Emma, this is great. It's, it's freaking adorable. I love the little [00:59:00] particle effect. Um, I love all the, the art and just the information and yeah, I,

Elf: I'm not sure,

Jitcy: you know what I, I said, I, I think I said earlier that this might be the first, but I feel like one other

Elf: person.

Oh, Tabitha. I think Tabitha made, uh, a website, uh, about their wizard. Um, but funny, the,

Jitcy: the two swamp pag wizards are the only

Elf: ones who have their own websites. Um, but yeah, at least as far as I'm aware. But

Jitcy: yeah. Emma, this

Elf: is really great. I love it. Yeah, this is great. So fun. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Uh, But

Dotta: we just saw a tweet shared by S P Z.

The Color Master, uh, tweeted out a teaser. We got something cool coming for next week, so I shared that up top too, so I don't, I don't know what that Oh, yeah. The

Bearsnake: we are building. Yeah. Yeah.

Jitcy: So, okay. Okay. That sounds, that sounds great. Um, well, I think we [01:00:00] are one minute over. Um, sorry, Emma, did you wanna say anything else about, about your

Elf: website?

Jitcy: Oh, we also have Dr. Pop, solo. Pop. Uh,

Dotta: Emma. Emma, anything? It didn't come through? Nope. I'm all

Elf: set. Thank you.

Jitcy: All right. Well, thank you. Thank, uh, solo pop. What up? Yes. Hello. Hello, hello. Sorry about the name change. That's all right. Uh, I just wanted to say for everyone that got the, uh, maple box or treasure trove, um, there's a piece missing that's gonna be sent.

Uh, but essentially there's supposed to be a card with a QR code to the rules of the game spell rooms. So for anyone that has the box, you can go on spell rooms.com and you'll find everything there.

Bearsnake: What's up? Fantastic. What's up? How you doing? Remember what we

Jitcy: Yes. I want against you. I think you were the loser.[01:01:00]

Bearsnake: It's just

Jitcy: relaxed pretty first term. Let him know. Yeah. Call him ass out.

Bearsnake: No, we like, we like lined up to go poppa and I, and I never do this ever, ever, ever. And I was like, I leaned over to him and I'm like, you know, I'm pretty good at poppa. And then I literally just sucks

Jitcy: so hard the entire time. That's good.

Cool. Um, alright. Anything else from anyone

Elf: else? I'm

Dotta: good. I'm working on Goblin Town.

Bearsnake: Get back to work,

Jitcy: get back to work, do I got one? I let the team know, and I think I told everyone in Discord, but there's like less than 12 hours I think to claim one of the claimable in the Beacon game from us. So if you have a Wisher Warrior or anything else, go claim it's free.

Can't can't go wrong. Free that. That's right. Jitsu. I wanted you to talk about Beacon. We got a little bit of time. Okay. I've just been seeing a lot of, uh, cool Wizard stuff

Elf: [01:02:00] in, in, in this Beacon

Jitcy: game. Can you, can you just tell us a little bit more about

Elf: that?

Jitcy: Uh, yeah, yeah, sure. Uh, the beacon's awesome. We, I've been talking to them for about, I don't know, at this point, like four months ago or so.

They had this really great approach within the magic ecosystem that's a rogue light on top of just like, you know, having tradable assets and having a game that rewards people that are playing it. Um, we talked, we said we'd like to get some IP in there because I think what they're doing and their team is fantastic.

And now we have three claimable assets that are from our world into theirs. And hopefully there's more to come with that conversation, right? Like, something that I think is really interesting is that we can have these conversations with groups of people that are pushing for the same initiatives and parallel to what we're doing.

That's, you know, obviously a combination of things when it comes to gaming, um, that we can both benefit both, um, communities to be able to either have fun or push forward an idea or whatever it is. And they're one of those teams that I think are doing great work and they showcase it with having, I think, like 20 unique, 20,000 unique players [01:03:00] within like the first, I don't know how many weeks we're at now, but, um, it's exciting, right?

To be able to go claim something that's in another digital world that has success and see a cobalt on the floor of the beacon or Beacon Hideaway, right? So, yeah, just that's, uh, that's about everything but super fun. They're great. Uh, more to come. One, one thing that Gypsy does is just, he, he's been

Elf: reaching out to lot, a lot of other metas and other projects and games and, and getting wizards into them.

Um, and this beacon example, th this beacon, uh, project is a really good example of that. Um, and so yeah, I think there's a lot more to come, um, from, from jitsu on this. Uh, but yeah. Uh, looking forward to that. Um, and

Jitcy: then, sorry, one other quick thing I wanted to mention. Um,

Elf: so Tabitha of the Marsh actually, uh, recently

Jitcy: translated,

Elf: um, our entire issue, zero of our comic into

Jitcy: German.

Elf: Um, and, and I So cool. Think Yeah, and, and I, and I think, [01:04:00] uh, uh, they even said that there's, there's other languages potentially

Jitcy: coming. Um, And like, it's funny cuz like I didn't even know what we're gonna do with it, but if anyone has a need, uh, for the German version of the Forgotten Ruins comics, um, DM me or Tabitha or, or, or

Elf: any of us, um, I think we're still trying to figure out exactly what to do with it, but it, uh, it does exist.

Um, so yeah, I just wanted to give Tabitha a shout out on that.

Jitcy: Uh, anything else guys?

Dotta: I'm good. Nah.

Bearsnake: Yeah, I'm good. This was great. Great show. Great to see everybody in the, in the crowd.

Elf: All right, well with that

Jitcy: and, uh, I want to see everybody

Elf: in the secret tower doing the empty shake. Um, I'm gonna

Jitcy: go first.

Okay. There's my empty shake, secret Tower Discord. This time. This has been El Doda Bear Snake, solo Jitsu William [01:05:00] Emma Enigma and the Forgotten Rooms Wizards, Colt. Channeling out and empty, shaking all the way from the quantum downs Magic.
