Wizard Wednesday Ep. 54, September 7th 2022

Elf: [00:00:00] Um, let's get started. What do you say, Donna? Are you even there? I'm here. Hello. All right. It's Wednesday. We are wizards. And it is Fing Wizard Wednesday. Hello. Channeling in with Quantum Style through the Quantum Downs. This is Elf back from vacation. Joining me is Elf

Dotta: and Dota.

Elf: Hey, there, there. Okay, I'm back guys. Um, what, uh, I missed you. Tell me. Tell me, what did I miss? Oh,

Dotta: well, uh, mag was here. He made this really cool, uh, like stable diffusion bot. I don't know if you saw it, but I meant to talk about this last week. [00:01:00] Um, uh, was and jitsu, they went through, this is what they did.

They went through the entire set of attributes and they, they, they typed out a prompt for every attribute and then built a bot that like pastes all those attributes together and like, does like a stable diffusion prompt. And there's a Twitter bot of it too. It's amazing. Have

Elf: you, have you tried it? Yes. I actually just learned about it this morning.

Um, and I had a big conversation with Woz and I've actually got a lot to say about this thing. Um, so yeah, that's a big thing that I missed. Um, Yeah, I mean, I was, I was gone for like two weeks and, you know, I'll just say I've, I spent, um, all morning just, uh, catching up on everything that the cult is doing.

Um, you know, yesterday and the day before I caught up on everything that Magic Machine was doing. [00:02:00] And there's just so much. Um, and, and, and I'll tell you there, there's, there's a pattern that I experienced about four or five, four or five times today. And this is what it was. I'd be scrolling through Twitter and Discord, uh, you know, just to see what everybody's up to.

And then I would see this little hint of, of a cool thing, like a piece of art or some intriguing tweet. And then I would dig deeper and then I would see this entire, like, well thought out, well executed enormous project. Um, and then it hits me hard and I think, how am I just now seeing this awesome thing?

Um, And, and, and I feel I can ask for like, not paying attention because these projects have been going out for, for going on for weeks. Um, so, so let me give you a few examples. Um, number one, while I was gone, uh, the heroes of Cumberland Mint happened. Um, this is one that I did know about, but, but, but yeah, I miss the mint.

And, [00:03:00] and so I'm looking and I'm, I'm looking over the, the Cumberland Heroes, and they're just beautiful. Um, Maxwell sent me a, uh, a custom and I just, I, I really love the color palettes on the, on these characters. Um, you know, especially considering the abomination that bred them, uh, i e the whole, uh, cucu dog thing.

Um, but, but yeah, the heroes of Cumberland are beautiful. Um, I'm sure you guys have seen those. Um, the mint is still happening. If you haven't, you, you've seen 'em, right? Doda.

Dotta: Oh yeah. Yeah. I minted a handful and I have some, uh, I don't know if you also saw, but the, the Baron Court launched, um, the Desert Beast area.

Did you see these?

Elf: I have not seen that. No. There's, it's

Dotta: a whole collection of desert Familiars for Warriors or Desert Companions.

Elf: Oh my God. Okay. Okay. Yeah.

There.

Elf: See, [00:04:00] and it's a perfect, so what's going on? It's a perfect

Dotta: example of, of of, of dynamic NFTs, which we spent some time talking about last week, which was this idea like, you know, Barron Court invented an entire set of, uh, of Warrior Companions, but there's no good way for you to show them on your original Warrior, N F T.

So that will something that will be, have to

Elf: be addressed. Yes, it will. Um,

Bearsnake: I was gonna, I was gonna say, are you surprised at all of the things that are going on? I don't think so.

Elf: Well, I mean, yes and no. It's, it's ju it's just like, like I, I know our community is the most prolific, most creative, most talented, most amazing community out there, but it still always exceeds my expectations.

Um, h here's a few other examples. Uh, crucifer, who is just always making cool stuff, um, has this like, like, I don't even know what it is exactly, but it's called, I think it's called I David, [00:05:00] the Body Adventures of a Knockabout Wizard. And like that title alone is just fantastic. Um, crucifer, if you wanna come up and like, tell us more about it, but like, you know, it like, like again, it's like I've been seeing the art for this thing, you know, for, I don't know, maybe a month.

And I'm just now digging in and like realizing this is a whole project that Crucifer has going on, and I'm just now like, digging into it and, and it's amazing. So I minted something from that. Um, and then there's this other amazing thing called Pantheon Vidali by Taro. Do you guys know what this is?

Bearsnake: I saw it.

I don't fully under, I don't fully understand

Elf: it just yet. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I just like dug into this today, but I know he is been working on it for weeks. So, first of all, the website itself is just beautiful. It's very clean. It's very simple. But then it's, it, the design of the website contrasts really well with the, the, the NFTs that he's, he's got going, uh, which are [00:06:00] these like rough, like really sculpted, um, just like, like digital sculptures.

And, and from what I can tell, it's like you can bid on a, um, Like you bid on a commission. And so if you win the bid, then he's gonna like sculpt your wizard in this awesome style. And, and then it's like a, it's like a hero sitting in the pantheon of a DA of a Dallas, and it is just beautiful. So, so I made a bid on this this morning.

Um, I hope nobody out outbids me. Um, I, it's a, uh, I think it has like 20 hours left. Um, and then yet another thing that has been going on for weeks that I'm just now digging into is this questing thing that Ferrell of Untamed has going on Twitter. Um, I feel like the whole cult knew about this except me.

Um, Doda, I think you even participated. Like one of them was like, uh, what three fictional characters best describes you.

Dotta: [00:07:00] Oh yeah. That was so fun. That was a really, really fun get to know You exercise too, because I felt like I understood the cult members who participated better after that. Like j just such a simple like format was so helpful to understand people.

Elf: Yep. Yeah. And then today there, there was the uh, um, like, uh, it was like, it was something like, name your ingredients for, uh, a Potion. Um, and so I participated in that one today. Um, but I, I think, I think, uh, wild Ma is gonna do this like once a week. Um, but again, it's just like this another big project that I'm just now discovering.

Um, and then another one is, uh, Snoop Doug has like a, a kids' art contest. Um, and this is something that Snoop Doug asked, asked me about, like, I think it was like a month ago, in fact, he asked me to judge the contest. Um, but like, I'm just now remembering it's happening and I'm just now seeing the, uh, The entrance, um, in this [00:08:00] contest in Dota, I think one of your kids has made an entry, right?

Yep,

Dotta: yep. My daughter had an entry, and we talked about this last week too, which was, it was such a microcosm of like the positive, um, reinforcement effects that this community has because, you know, my daughter shared, uh, her picture and then she was just sitting over my shoulder, like waiting for anyone to make comments.

And then there were people like Emma and Sammy Kitty and Tanya Del Rio all making these like really specific like comments, you know, like one, uh, I think Tanya took a picture of the, uh, uh, the goat head in the ground and was like, oh, I love the gold skull, you know, and it was just, yep.

Elf: So wholesome.

Totally. Yeah. Yeah. So, so I wanted, I wanted to dive into this for a second. So, yeah, do do's daughter made some really great pieces. Um, I think Emma was like Cucu family, and, and that's exactly what it is. Yeah. Um, and then, uh, uh, [00:09:00] SPZs, uh, child Ingrid age five did a really great, um, portrait of, uh, sorcerer Elias.

Um, really nice use of color, really great technique. Um, and then Maple Dads, uh, w uh, age four did a really great portrait of, um, Hedgewood Hedge Wizard, Lucinda of the road, um, complete with the, uh, the Rose, uh, and then Snoop Dugs, I th I think two children here, Adam, age 11 and Theo age eight. Um, did a real two really great pieces, one of Merlin's staff, like casting a spell.

And then one of them was a, uh, like this amazing clay sculpture that's like built on top of a watercolor painting and really nice mixed media piece. Um, and then, uh, V Mark eth, uh, their child did a really great [00:10:00] portrait of empty, of the Toad stools and Slater of emps or Slater Sword of emps. Um, then, uh, crucifers Child, Alfie age five, uh, did a really great portrait of a cobalt warrior.

Um, uh, Samor, uh, has two entries from Davey, age two and a half and scout age two and a half, uh, of an unknown creature. And, uh, Ramona Flowers. Uh, and then, uh, Noah Eth, uh, age 17 has three entries. Um, Noah, I think this tree you drew is, is my favorite piece. I would encourage you to do more things in that style.

Super cool. Um, and then wavy child age 10 did this really great, uh, pixel head of, uh, one of the brain drain characters. Um, so, you know, if, if you know a young artist, um, I would encourage then them to enter this art contest. [00:11:00] Um, and I will, I have the unenviable task of judging the winners of this contest eventually.

But, uh, but yeah, it's a great idea by Snoop Dogg. Um, I can't wait to see what else, uh, we get entered into this.

Dotta: Um, yeah, hop over into the kids summer art channel. Uh, if you want to see the visual imagery. Cause I don't think we've tweeted out all of those. They're really fun.

Elf: Yeah, they're so great. And I think there's even cash prizes for, uh, for the winners. Oh, there should be some pretty good

Dotta: prizes. That'll be great.

Yeah.

Elf: Yeah. Maybe we'll have to sweeten the pot. Yeah, for sure. Um, and then, and then yeah, finally, like, like you, uh, opened with Dota, the, uh, the Dream Master thing that was your made, um, it just blew my mind today. Um, you know, I, two weeks ago, I, I talked about AI art [00:12:00] and, um, I, I've got a lot more to say about this one.

Um, but I don't know, I feel like I've been talking a lot donor bear. Do you have anything to, to add into the projects? I just went over, oh, you know what?

Dotta: We, we had to talk so much the last two weeks. Everyone just really happy to hear your voice that you didn't get eaten by rhinoceros. No, no. Let's talk about the deep dream master.

Elf: Yeah, yeah, totally. So the, I have a thousand things to say about it. Okay. First of all, here's why I love it. Um, Because it's a bot from bottom to top. Um, so, you know, we've got this whole slew of AI art machines out there, and they will artificially create art for you, but they still require a human to give a text input.

Um, but, but Woz has, has automated that part too. Um, and I guess jitsu, um, helped with this. Um, so, so it's [00:13:00] this bot that gives the text input and makes the art and automatically posts to Twitter. It's just like, it's a full automaton, uh, showing us its dreams. Um, and, and who, who better than a dream master, uh, to build this thing.

Um, and so, you know, one of the things I think about is. This, this ever expanding reach of AI and how it keeps dipping into territories that we thought were reserved ex exclusively for humans. Um, and, you know, it, it gets into these territories and then humanity has to recalibrate its position in the world.

Um, you know, and, and it really makes me think about the character data in Star Trek, um, who is maybe one of the best characters in the history of media that really just makes us, uh, examine what it means to be human, um, especially in relation to technology. [00:14:00] Um mm-hmm. Because with data that the character, we, we have an Android, uh, that is nearly indistinguishable from a human.

Um, he's this super, super advanced ai, and he's like, but he's like, only, he's like 98% there. Um, and there's this, this remaining 2%, uh, that is this like gaping, enormous chasm of an uncanny valley that reminds of, reminds of his all of, of all the intangibles that makes us human. Um, and so I'm very curious, as these AI art machines play out, as they share their dreams with us, just how these remaining slivers of humanity that are left over and out of the machines grasp how, how will we find them and embrace them?

Um, how will this shape humanity's [00:15:00] position in the world? And how will it, how will it affect the ruins that we put on the door? Um, So, you know, I, I, I, I love this bot that was made. Um, and if, if you're not following this account, please do. It's, it's just, it's amazing. Um, and then what else is great is there's a bot in the, the Forgotten Rooms Discord, where you can go there now and try it out.

Um, you can give it a prompt and it'll spit out a piece of AI art for any wizard that you want. Um, and there, and there's a Wiki page that explains all the different prop, uh, prompts and how to use the bot. So you can, you can get pretty, um, clever, clever with your, with your prompts. Um, and I, I think, you know, I was talking to Woz this morning, this morning.

I think we can, we can really build this thing out and add to it. Um, you know, I, what, what I love is like, You know, there's, there's all these AI art tools out there and, you know, maybe people don't wanna [00:16:00] like, go through the hassle of like, finding them and learning how to use them. Uh, just come to our discord and you can use one there.

Um, and it, and it's really, really accessible and easy. Um, so yeah, those are some of the things I, I've just discovered just this morning that had been blowing my mind. Um, yeah. I'm gonna stop there

Dotta: for a sec. Yeah, I've, I've, it's been really interesting to see the, the, the, the deep dream, the, the, uh, like the stable diffusion dolly.

Art tools come out. It's really, especially in the middle of like a bear market, it's definitely kind of like made me be, have this phase of being really introspective about like what is the next step. I think like this bear market has really given me that like reflection over the past year, um, and the projects that we've seen quite a lot of, of just how fast this last year moved.

Um, a lot of the ideas that felt like so brand [00:17:00] new and fresh and novel and interesting, like a year ago now, I sort of feel a little bit tired, right? I felt like even by the time I got access to Dolly, I was like almost, um, over it in some sense or over like my initial set of ideas. At the same time, I also feel like stable diffusion and Dolly are almost like a new Google, that there's like a lot of ideas that we kind of.

That come to us naturally that like, are sort of obvious, but then there's all of these pieces of artwork that have like never been explored, that have like never been pulled out of it yet. This, this, just this like, um, infinite well of creativity that like no one has ever seen the pictures that it can produce.

So it's also exciting in that way. But, but then what does it mean for artwork? I'm not sure.

Elf: Yeah. I I don't think any of us really know. I mean, I've, I've got my first impressions, but, um, I, I think there's still a lot to come. Um, you know, I I, I compared it to the [00:18:00] advent of photography a few weeks ago. Um, and, and I think this development is honestly just as significant.

I think, um, I think the, uh, the art or Boros has gone a full cycle with this, with this, uh, AI art machine. Um, but you know, I, I, I like what you said the other day, Dota, how like it's really fortunate that. This technology is, is, uh, coming out right in the middle of, uh, the, the Rooter verse being born. Um, it's, it's just such a great tool for, for cult content.

Dotta: And it's also such an interesting like, moment for us to like, start with pixel art and have that be like basically the primitive. So.

Elf: Well, we've got a bunch of

Dotta: questions in the secret tower, so I can, uh, go over, uh, question and answer if you're ready for that.

Elf: Yeah, please. Um, let's see here.

Dotta: So Spz says, beating a dead horse here, but will you mint out the [00:19:00] ponies and do more competitions?

Uh, so the answer is yes. Yes. I will mint out the ponies. I think there's maybe about a hundred that we'll kind of have in our stable, and we have plans for them. We have some pretty fun plans, uh, within, let's see, um, the next two or three months that we can use. I don't think that we're gonna be keeping all hundred of those.

So, uh, yeah, we'll be doing that before too long.

Elf: Yes, the, the, the, the cult will have access to these, uh, remaining ponies, let's put it that way, for the most part. I mean, we'll keep a few, but, yeah. Yep.

Dotta: Um, in what Tad asks, in what ways can an actor of the me, uh, member of the cult be most helpful in cur during the current vision of Magic Machine?

And he gives some examples, you know, location-based law, recruiting new holders, new art commissions, participates in game releases. What sort of actions from us could be most helpful for your short and long-term goals? I mean, I think that like the, the, like, the longest term goal that's like the most important one is just this idea around like, you know, tell, like [00:20:00] creating, right?

We always talk about that. The one thing that the cult asks for you is to just create an earnest. And so I think that the, the idea around like developing a character in an art form that you're interested in and passionate about is like the most, like, it's the most fundamental, most important thing that you could do, right?

It's like putting your ruin on the door. And so, I don't think that changes at all. Um, you know, maybe I have some tactical ideas. Like I do think that there's this interesting idea around like, well, how do we grow holders? And part of that just comes through like, um, you know, telling people in other chats that you have about why you think it's a good project.

But I don't know, I sort of feel like anyone has been doing that. Um, anyone who holds a wizard ft has surely done that the whole time. And the market is weird. People aren't exactly like, you know, testing out a lot of new projects. So I think that's something that would be helpful. But at the same time, ultimately the goal of this project is like, create a world.

And so, you know, one of the things that I would actually love to see more of is like longer form [00:21:00] content. One of the discussions that we had, uh, particularly in sales, but it's been in the air the last couple weeks, is like, who are like the main characters of the universe that we can kind of latch onto a and you have to kind of like, you know, you have.

Um, Lord of the Rings, right? You have like Frodo and Bill Billow and Gandalf, like, you have these characters that stand out in your mind and you have, um, you know, Harry Potter and you have, um, like in all these stories, like in Star Wars, you have Luke Skywalker and like of course you have these other characters that you kind of build on the franchise, but um, you start with one person and then you grow out from there.

And maybe that's something that I think that we're all sort of feeling a little bit right now, which is we have our individual characters we're like starting to kind of like, um, squint and like, and like form the resolution of the universe world, but we don't have kind of this like, you know, single character narrative that you can follow all the way through.

And I would like lo you know, we're working on that, right? For [00:22:00] the comic books and the show. And I'm sure Elf has ideas here, but I think I am really interested to see more kind of like long form content, both from like whatever tools you already have available to you, and also building more tools in that area because I think.

Yeah, like just telling the stories of building the world is the, is the

Elf: most important thing. Yeah. I was, if I could just say one word, it would be world build. That's, that's the most valuable thing. Um, but like that means so many different things. You know, that can mean obviously like build out your character, develop your character.

It can mean, um, create cult content. I think it can also mean like, recruit more members into the cult. Um, just like expand our audience. Um, and, and yeah, I like to your point of longer form con content, um, you know, I would, I would say like, yes, definitely longer form. And I would also say like, Um, [00:23:00] alternate forms of content.

Um, yeah, like, you know, like I, of course, you know, I love seeing illustrations and, um, and, and poems and stories and all the more like traditional content, but, you know, there's so many different forms. Cult content can, can, can take. I mean, like Sammy Kitty has been doing a lot of really cool stuff, interest lately, like, like painting on plates and making a hairbrush and just like really unconventional, uh, yeah, like mediums.

Um, I, I, you know, I love that. I, I love the like little short pixel films that I've been seeing people make. I, I love, um, Like Tanya, I saw Tanya made a, like a, a knitted cobalt head. There's, there's, it's just like infinite, the amounts of the amount of kinds of content you can make or, or, or even like the, the feral of the untamed uh, uh, Twitter games, you know, that's, that's a form of world building.

And, um, you know, it's like, what what's [00:24:00] beautiful about it is, is, is many people think, well, I can't draw, so I can't participate. No, you definitely can. There's, there's so many ways to create something. Um, I, I truly believe, like, literally everyone can make cult content about their character or about the world.

You just gotta find the new that speaks to you.

Dotta: Yeah. I love seeing, like, hearing songs I think are so special. Um, yeah. Sammy Kitty's stuff has just been on fire, uh, lately. Like, yeah.

Bearsnake: I think it's cool also, like as we work with Darren on, on the show and, and look at those breakout characters. I think something that, you know, came to bear with the, the teaser, the trailer that we made was like, you know, this is before Woz joined.

The Magic Machine team is like, he was just, he just, he created so much that he ended up in that [00:25:00] trailer. And I think like, I think for us, we would love, like the ultimate goal is for people to sort of make their character legendary so that we can then, Integrate them into these things, right? Like, so, so we have conversations around, okay, well what's the ensemble cast?

What does it look like? You know, who are people that they run into along, you know, the season one and two and three and all that. And I think the more that, that the cult creates, the more opportunity we have to be able to like, shine a light on, on those, on those people. And so it's in a lot of ways, like we're shaping that main cannon.

Um, and we, you know, the more that the cult creates, the more that like the cult can be a part of the cannon, and like that line gets blurred a little

Elf: bit more. That's the vision.

Bearsnake: Yeah. So I think there's a, there's a, so, and because we're, we're just still at the beginning here, like, there's so much opportunity for people to, for people just to create [00:26:00] and end up in, in a place that like is, you know, in, in a comic book, in a television show, in the

Elf: games, all that stuff.

Yep. Um, what other questions do we have?

Dotta: Uh, well, uh, sh I think it was Sharon's asked to hear about some of your animal encounters in South Africa.

Elf: Um, yeah, I'm seeing a few people ask about that. Um, yeah, I'll, I'll talk a little bit about, uh, my trip. So, yeah, I mean, my, my other passion in life is, is animals.

Um, I, I used to live in Costa Rica and I, I, uh, I would spend a lot of time in the rainforest, and this is the second time I've been to Africa. Um, and I, I, I just really love animals. And, you know, one of the things about, uh, South Africa is they're, you know, they, they've got this amazing park called Krueger Park, and it's, it's [00:27:00] absolutely enormous.

It's, I mean, it would, it would take probably two days to travel through the entire thing if you didn't stop. Um, And the, the, the biodiversity there is just incredible. Um, you know, it, it's got, it's got all the megafauna that you think of, like lions and hippos and, um, buffalo and leopards. Um, but it, but it's also got like just a countless birds and, and, and smaller animals and antelope and, um, it's just you, you go out into the park and every day you see something new.

Um, And, you know, it's, it's, there's the, the, the scientific, the lore or the biological lore of these ecosystems are, it's just so rich and dense. And, and it gave me a lot of inspiration on how I'd like to design the, uh, the, the, the [00:28:00] natural lore of the universe. Um, when it comes to that, you know, I even had this idea that I, I would love to like, like just do a book that's, that's just like the, the flora and fauna of the universe and just.

Make it this like really dense naturalist take on, um, the plants and animals of the universe and, you know, sort of in the vein of like Charles Darwin or Jane Goodall or, um, you know, even like Steve Irwin. Um, and so yeah,

Bearsnake: that's a challenge. Who's gonna be the Steve

Elf: Irwin of the universe? Yeah. We're gonna be slim to help us out there.

Yeah. I, I I love Steve Irwin so much. He is, you know, he is, he was one of the greatest people to ever live. Um, but, but yeah, you know, it, it just, it was, it was just very inspiring. Um, you know, I, I, I think some of the animals that, that really, uh, interested me the most, and this is gonna sound weird, uh, it wasn't the Lions, it wasn't the leopards, it [00:29:00] wasn't the giraffes, it was the antelope.

Um, because there's. So many different species of antelope. There's like over 90, um, you know, like, like the big cats. There's, there's like four or five. There's like the lion, the leopard, the cheetah, the um, the Carole, the serval, maybe a few others, you know. And then there's like only two rhinoceros and there's like one giraffe.

And, um, but the antelope there, there's so fricking many of them. And they're, they're all different and they all like play their own role in their own ecological niche. And, um, and, and they're amazing. And it's, it's like, I don't know, the more common animals to me are sometimes the more interesting ones.

Um, so I don't know. I, I might, I, I, the antelope have, has have given me a really interesting idea that I want to like, play out in the universe later. Um, so

Bearsnake: I think people, I'd like to know, let's just get down to business. Were you attacked [00:30:00] to, do you have any near death experiences?

Elf: You know what I actually did?

Yeah. No, I did like, like, okay. First of all, here, here's what, here's what else is amazing about Krueger. Um, you don't have to have a guide when you're driving through the park. You can self, uh, drive you, you can drive yourself, um, and like there's no one around there safe around to protect you. No one around like.

Tell you where to go. You just like do it yourself. And so one thing that often happens is, um, there's gonna be an, like a full-grown elephant in the road. And, um, and you, it's like you're the only two, uh, it's, it's you against the elephant and there's like no one there to tell you like what to do in this situation.

And the elephants will taunt you. They will flap their ears, they will literally throw things at the car, um, and they will growl this like really deep rumble. Um, this happened like two or three times and [00:31:00] it's very scary because they will crush cars. There are photos of elephants crushing cars at the rest stops in Kruger.

Um, so yeah, I had like one or two or two or three standoffs with an elephant. Um, and then I also, uh, had a full-grown giraffe, um, kick at the car. Um, and it, it's, it's hoof like literally went over over the car. It was so tall. Um, so, so yeah, there were, there were some close calls. Uh, Krueger is, uh, it's, it's not for the faint of heart.

You gotta, um, you, you gotta be on your guard there. What are the instructions

Dotta: for standing down an elephant,

Bearsnake: right? Run,

Elf: run, put the car in reverse? No, no. Honestly, like I think if you, generally if you just hold your ground, they'll back off. Um, cuz like, you know, it's, it's all, it's all posturing. Um, at [00:32:00] least the experiences I had, um, you know, I, and I could be wrong, but it might, it might be like a bear where you don't wanna run.

Cause if you do that, then you're admitting weakness and then they'll chase you. I don't know if an elephant will do that, but I just held, held my ground. It, it's funny, I, I went with my parents and I, I'm gonna blame the elephant encounters on my dad. He's the one who like, Got all excited about taunting them.

I'm like, dad, don't. We're gonna get crushed. How the hell whatcha doing?

Yeah. This is a,

Bearsnake: this is, this is kind of a tangent, but like, can you, can you describe what a rest stop is in the middle of like a, a place like that? Like, are you getting sandwiches? Is there a

Elf: bathroom? Yeah. No, no. They have these like big, um, like, I don't know, lodges just like peppered throughout the park.

[00:33:00] Um, and they, there's like electric fence around them. Um, and so you can go into these places and use the bathroom and get food and they're, they're really nice actually. Um, but, but yeah, I mean that, that's what they are. That's cool. I gotta get over there. Yeah, it's great. I highly recommend it. Um, but yeah, I, I, I think I'm gonna, I'm gonna jump on another, um, space is next Wednesday and talk more about my, uh, African trip.

I don't, I don't wanna dominate, uh, wizard Wednesday with it, but, um, but yeah, that's, that's the short version. Well, we're happy to have you back, man. It's, it's good to be back. I, I thought about the universe the entire time. Mm-hmm.

Dotta: Hey,

Elf: Matto, do you wanna address

Dotta: a little bit, can you talk about like, the warm wallet, N F T and the folks coming in today talking about, Like renting for 10 Ktf quests.

[00:34:00] Could you, could you give us like a little bit of like context there of how you see it? Yeah,

Madotsuki: sure. So, um, so I think 10 Ktf, they're doing like some wizard exclusive quests. Um, pretty sure it's like starting either if it's not today, like sometime very soon, like this week. Um, as a result there's like a lot of, uh, a lot of newcomers who are coming from the 10 ktf, uh, community and discord.

And they're just asking about like, Hey guys, can you, uh, is anybody looking to rent their wizard to me so I can participate in the Quest? Um, recently, uh, when U Labs, um, the, you know, the team behind 10 Ktf, they actually did release, um, this, uh, this app that allows you to connect your code wallet to like a hot wallet and kind of like create like a warm wallet.

It's actually called, it's warm, xyz. Um, it's great for security, but the purpose of it was made so that you can interact with their contracts and any compatible contracts [00:35:00] using a wallet that doesn't hold your valuables. Um, but instead act as a proxy wallet. So like, no, their contract will read to that wallet connected to your main wallet.

Um, you don't have to expose your main wallet to, you know, potentially if there's like a fake fishing leak or whatever, um, you'll be safe. Um, because it was made for this purpose. Um, you know, it's meant for you to just use with wallets that you own. Um, as an unintended side effect of that though, you can delegate your wallet, so like, Anybody really.

Um, and so there's even like a time limit they can put on it. So if you wanna like put it for like one or two days, you can. Um, so, uh, there are people who are coming in asking, you know, Hey, can anybody pretty much delegate their wizard to me if you're not using it? So that way I can use it for the 10 Ktf quest.

Um, some of them will probably like, you know, pay you for your troubles, like they'll actually rent it for you and then maybe they'll ask for like three days, whatever. Um, and as far as I see, I mean, it doesn't look like there's any, like [00:36:00] at first glance doesn't look there's any like, real risk involved, but it's very new.

Um, so it's really hard to really distinguish what the scope, what they can potentially do with it is. Um, somebody I, I, I thought of maybe perhaps fact, um, Uh, maybe if you give them your, like you delegate your wizard to them that maybe they can write in your book of lore and like, like, um, put like, you know, profanity in or whatever.

Um, but I think somebody tested that and apparently you can't. Um, it needs to be contracts that are actually compatible with warm wallet, um, in interact with. Um, but just in general, I'd say, um, we're probably gonna see an influx of them as they, as they go on, um, just be nice to them. I don't think a lot of them seem like they're particularly trying to scam.

They're just legitimately trying to, you know, rent some wizards. It's a bit sketchy. I personally don't think I would trust delegating my wizard to any of them. Um, and that's not just to say like, no, they're bad people. Just, it's so new that I don't really trust, you know, doing that quite yet. [00:37:00] Um, And just, you know, in general I would say, you know, be, be polite to them if you, if you aren't interested in it, you know, just kind of kindly let them know that, you know, it's, you're maybe concerned about security risk or whatever.

Um, and if you are interested, I would say just be very careful. Like I said, like it immediately doesn't seem like it's a huge security risk, but be careful, especially if there's anybody who tries to fish using this cause it's brand new. And because, you know, like a lot of people probably don't realize how to really do it.

The main site is warm, xyz, but somebody could send you efficiently to, you know, warm.org, whatever, if they happen to have that for whatever reason. Mm-hmm. And you know, if you connect your wallet to it and you're like, yeah, just sign this message and it's perfectly safe, you can losing your stuff. So just be very careful.

Um, if you have any questions about anything, you know, feel free to post in security channel on our discord. Uh, we'll walk you, I'll walk you through the [00:38:00] best of my abilities. I can't encourage you to do it, but I'm not gonna discourage you if it's something that you wanna do. Just be very careful if you wanna do

Dotta: it.

Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, when we had a couple of folks kind of, uh, come in offering to like rent wizards to go on quests, I was sort of like, uh, kind of, you know, hesitant and Right. You know, uh, but then we had like, I don't, two or three people come in and say the same. So like, it seems real, but yeah, like you said, The, you know, probably warm is safe.

Um, but then you just have to be so careful, right? This happened with pseudo swap a lot in the early days because it was a way that you could kind of do over the counter trades or you still can, uh, but in the early version. But then what would happen is people would sort of buy domains that looked like the real pseudo domain.

Um, and then when you actually make a deal and go to go to switch, what ends up happening is you're going to a phishing site that's made to look like the site that would've been safe. The, the real site is, is safe, but you got sent to a phishing [00:39:00] site that looked the same. And so yeah, whenever you're, you're, you're kind of making transactions with people you don't really know yet, just be very, very

Elf: careful.

Cool.

Dotta: Thank you.

Well, we, uh, are still having the lock and, uh, the lock and Sacred Flame Warrior Golden Weapon forging event soon. Um, we will let you know the date for that as soon as we have it, but you can expect it quite soon. Uh, I don't have

Elf: you, uh, yeah, I, I was act, yeah, I was, uh, I was actually gonna ask if you had mentioned that yet and how many details you've revealed.

Um, uh, we can

Dotta: reveal all the details as far as you want to. Um, we talked about last week.

Elf: Sweet. Yeah, I mean for, okay. For anyone who doesn't know. Um, just to be

clear,

Elf: this is, uh, an event where, Um, if you [00:40:00] own a gold lock and a sacred flame, you will be able to, uh, forge those onto a warrior weapon and receive an entirely new weapon.

Um, one really fun thing about this is that the locks, not only are they made of gold or quantum material, but they also have a spell inscribed on them. Um, that will also play a role in the weapon you get. Um, so, uh, yeah, it's, it's, it's gonna be a really cool event. Um, and, and, and furthermore, uh, I know that there's only like 42 locks out there, so not very many people are gonna part, be able to participate.

Uh, there will be future, um, let's say events, uh, that will, uh, Uh, potentially allow you to also forge a gold weapon, let's put it that way. Yes.

Dotta: Well, and I think one of the things that you and I will sit down and do is, we'll, we'll put a [00:41:00] firm cap on that number. Right. You know, one of the things that people were talking about is saying, well, you know, the, the, the cost of a lock and the cost of the flame some together, like how, how many of these gold weapons are there going to be?

How do I know if I do it now, if it's gonna be worth it in the future? So I think, yeah, we will have like a small number of golden items that will allow for a few more golden weapons. Um, but I don't think it'll be a large scale thing. It'll be relatively, relatively small though. We'll give a definitive number, uh, before we initiate the, the, uh, well, the Gilded Warrior forging

Elf: event.

Yep, yep. Exactly. Yeah. These weapons will ultimately be very, very rare. Um, but, and they. It'll, no, it'll be very cool. Um, speaking of weapons, another thing I missed was, uh, sword Timber. Um, I came back and I just saw [00:42:00] Sword Timber everywhere. I still don't even know what, uh, what Sword Timber is. Can somebody explain it to me?

I, I think that

Dotta: it's like,

Bearsnake: I feel like lot should come up and, and explain it if lot's here. I

Madotsuki: think when I gather, when I gathered, there's a lot of, um, art, like a lot of artists on Twitter, they tend to gather around kind like themes for the month and they like put like a hashtag for it. So that way everyone kind of like show off a portfolio or sort, um, and like kind of, you know, show the craft.

I think sort temper just happens to be like that. Cause a lot of the, a lot you look at the tag, it's just, it's like a lot of artists that are completely, you know, nothing related to the universe. But, you know, they're their own artists putting out their own works. Um, there's a lot of cool creative designs in there.

I think also what's really cool about it is that if you look through it, I think I've gotten a lot of inspirations from like, what, like really cool things you with weapons. Um, one thing that I, I, I think I've mentioned a lot of times the warrior is that, you know, the [00:43:00] warriors and wizards, all these tokens because like they don't have as much fidelity.

It gives you a lot of wiggle wound to like, imagine and build off of them in ways that are really creative. So like, even if you have just like a regular, like, you know, if you have like a cut list or whatever, if you're warrior, perhaps it's a special cut list and you can write that in your, in your lore and like bl these designs are really creative.

Like, I saw one that, it was that jitsu retweeted, it was like a, a water sword. It was like a, it was like a cup that like spews out water and like it can for, it can like convert that water into ice so it can like, change its shape if you want it to be like an axe or like a sword and stuff. That was a really cool idea.

Like concepts like that are great and like, I would love to see like more people like go with their weapons and like create something cool with it like that, you know?

Elf: Yep. Amazing. Yeah. Yeah. I've been, yeah, I've been seeing a lot of cool stuff with sword timber, uh, Maxwell, um, drew a really great sword. Um, and yeah, it's, it's just such a fun idea.

Um, [00:44:00] it, it's, I I didn't know if like it was a thing that already existed or is this like a, a, an original universe event, but apparently it's, it's been a thing for a while.

Bearsnake: It's a thing. And also, uh, witch tober is also a thing

Dotta: if you didn't know.

Elf: Wait, is that AKA Halloween?

Dotta: Yeah. I mean, I

Bearsnake: guess so, but lots of, lots of drawings of witches. Will, will, will, will come

Elf: next month. Great. Awesome. Yeah, the, the, I I, I told the team this the other day, but I think like my new favorite head in the whole Wizard collection is the little, the green Witch head with a long nose.

Um, we, uh, we, we just finished the 3D model for that one, uh, the other day and it just looks amazing. It's so cute. Uh, I think she's one of my favorite characters. Oh, we haven't

Dotta: even introduced Frog Eater to the cult yet. I don't think we should. Definitely have. We not? [00:45:00] Uh, no. We definitely should get him up here.

Maybe next week.

Elf: We definitely should. I don't even know if he's in, uh, In the audience right now. Yeah. But yeah, so we'll bring him up next week.

Dotta: We, we hired, um, a new 3d, uh, like model modeler artist, frog eater, and he's just so good. I mean, so, you know, Molly, Molly has been kind of like the lead in on concept design for the 3D models and is of course extremely talented.

And so, but it's just like to do, to model the whole collection. There's so much work. And so yeah, we brought on Frog Eater and he's just so talented. We've commissioned work from him before, I believe, and, and we just loved it so much that we, we brought him on and, and yeah. And I think that he modeled the, uh, the green witch head, which we should, we should share soon.

And, and introduce

Elf: him to everyone. Yep. For sure. We'll bring him up. Yeah, he's, he's great. Um, I'm, I'm so excited about the 3D models. I know it's taking a while, but. [00:46:00] They're just so good looking and I, I can't wait to see like what we do with them and what the cult does with them, because we've got so many plans for these things.

Um,

Dotta: yeah. And 3D models are just so dynamic, right? So you can, you can, you put them in tons of different contexts, change lighting, put them in video games, put them in artwork, you can, um, you know, with some care you can squish and stretch them, um, to put them in like sort of different art styles for video games and things like that.

So it's just, yeah, endless, endless opportunity.

Elf: Yeah.

Bearsnake: It's, um, you know what's interesting is, uh, clone X released 3D models and I. You know, you can like tweak them in blender. That community's really been doing some cool stuff with their models and yeah, it gets me really excited about what we're gonna see with ours.

And just like kudos to, to Elf and Molly and frog eater, I think, you know, it takes, it takes a minute [00:47:00] to like even develop a style. We've gone through. I feel like we're Pixar here, where like you go down a road and you realize, okay, there's a better version of this, and then you have to like weigh whether or not do you just keep going even though you feel like there's a better direction.

And of course, um, you know, we're always gonna side on like, okay, well let's just do the best thing we possibly can, even if it means like pushing out the, the delivery date. And so just kudos to Elf and, and everybody on that team because I think the, the weight will be totally worthwhile.

Dotta: Yeah. The design that we have now is, um, it's this like high end, low poly, um, but like very dynamic style, right?

It's not so stylized that it can only appear in like one, uh, like style of world. Um, but it's not so generic that they feel bland either. So it's just this like perfect, perfect [00:48:00] blend that you could use it in like a low polyfil. Yeah.

Bearsnake: And if, and if Elfa will release his, his super grip, um, maybe we can share some, some art soon.

Elf: We'll definitely share some soon. It's hard to peel back those fingers. El Yeah. You know what, speaking of other, other, uh, artists, we, uh, we also, I don't know if we're allowed to say this, but, but I saw Dr. Slurp asked in the Discord about when Soul Walk cycles are coming. Yeah.

Dotta: And we've, and we've got a team on that, and we're very, very close.

We, we've actually implemented those, uh, twice as well, uh, because Yeah, we got a first round that, you know, didn't quite seal the deal. And so I think that we'll have, uh, we've got another team working on, which I think we'll keep internal of like three or four people that are extremely talented who are helping us do the, uh, uh, the soul walk cycles.

And I think we're, I don't think we're two months away from having that. [00:49:00] Is that right?

Elf: That sounds right. Yeah. Hopefully less than two months. Yeah. Yeah. That's, there's some padding in that. Yep. Um, yeah. There, there's so much going on. Um, I'm gonna, I'm gonna call out some, uh, cult content and then I'm gonna drop a surprise at the end.

Um, Ooh, we've got like nine minutes left. Um, so you know what, speaking of things that are just always happening, and I'm just now like, noticing is like, you know, one thing I see a lot, and I'm just now, I think I'm just now acknowledging it is, is hin Boyd, like every week drops this really great image of.

Of, of a tavern with like wizards sitting at a bar drinking. And he is, and he always announces Wizard Wednesday with this. And I, I think I'm just now getting around to just like even acknowledging it, but it's been happening for months and I just, I love it. It's like I get this warm feeling now every time I see it.

Um, yep. There it is. [00:50:00] And, uh, you know what, what's really fun about it is, uh, it's got DJ Gwendolyn in this bar spinning records. And like, even though she's the most famous DJ in the universe, she's like still Indian enough to just spin at this local tavern. Um, so, you know, I, I love this image that Hen Boy always shares.

Um, and then I mentioned this earlier, but this, this little, this, this plate that Sammy Kitty made is just so great. It's got all these familiars, uh, painted around the rim of the plate. Um, you know, talk about like alternative media. It's, it's really fun. Um, and then another thing I mentioned earlier is, is, uh, Tanya's, um, cobalt head.

Now I, I, I do have a few issues with it. Um, it's, it's a fantastic cobalt head, however, She had to ruin it by saying, uh, team Green, when basically the entire cult knows that cobalts are yellow. So,[00:51:00]

um, you know, so maybe that was a typo. I don't know Tanya, but, but, but she did put the ears on it, which I, I think I've been swayed over to team ears and not team horns. Um, so,

Bearsnake: so maybe, I think they're green. I'll, I'll go to, I'll go to the, on the green versus yellow thing, even though you actually drew the

Elf: pixels,

Dotta: it

Bearsnake: just hits me as green.

It hits me as green.

Elf: Ok.

Dotta: Is

Madotsuki: cobal or green, what color are Aron? They have the same exact color scheme.

Elf: Wait, what color are what? What'd you say?

Madotsuki: The arons, the, the frog heads.

Elf: Oh, oh yeah. The Urins. Yeah. W well, Yeah, that, I don't know. I, I'm, I'm willing to go either way on that, but, but lemme here. I think here's, here's like an undeniable point.

The cobols are the exact same color as the yellow wizard hats, [00:52:00] and obviously those are yellow. So, um, case clothes,

Bearsnake: are they really the same color? They're the same color. Oh,

Elf: they're the same color. Yes. Same color.

Madotsuki: Yeah. Take your color picture and pick and

Elf: go right to him.

Dotta: Maybe I'm

Bearsnake: convert over. This is where I, this is where I have to decide whether or not just to go against fact and just dig in.

Um, but

Elf: I'll probably just give it up. Um, yeah. So anyway, moving on. Tabitha of the Marsh did a really great, uh, piece for Sword Timber. Um, it looks like, uh, like this really cool stained glass window. Um, so yeah, I mean, more great stuff with sword timber. Um, and then Emma, Emma has been making these really great magic cards.

Um, they're amazing. They're incredible. I love him. I doda I knew you would love him. And, and, and you know what, here's what I really love about him. Like, if you read the cards, you can tell that Emma is like a real [00:53:00] magic player because these cards, they're just really, well, uh, what's the word? Like, built or constructed?

Like, like, like you, you want to use these cards in the game. Um, yeah. They're really well designed and then like even the flavor text at the bottom is, is super fun. Um, and she, she's made so many of these, so I, you know, I, I, I don't, I knew you would love them cuz you, you're the one who's always asking for magic cards.

Yes, I know.

Dotta: I've been playing magic with my kids too, these like past couple weeks. You know, we take some time on time off and it would be really fun. I don't know how much work it is to put together like a full. Forgotten ruins. Like bootleg, uh, like netex. But that would

Bearsnake: just, that's a lot of, that's a lot of work.

Elf: That's a lot. Bear's been looking into it. Okay. Yeah. Yeah.

Bearsnake: I'm like, I'm looking in and then slowly backing away.

Elf: [00:54:00] Um, but yeah. So then I know, oh, go ahead. Oh, go ahead.

Bearsnake: I was just gonna say, uh, I don't know if you wanted, we probably don't wanna elaborate, but I know that Jon, you were in the secret tower, um, dropping some alpha about stuff that's happening in the future. Did, I guess you probably didn't wanna talk about that

Dotta: in more detail.

Detail, which stuff? If I had talked about the secret tower

Bearsnake: you were just talking about, I think it was in response to like, the fact that there really aren't that many locks, um, and that there's some stuff happening

Elf: in the future. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So we have,

Dotta: okay. So, uh, we have. Well, let me think here. One, two, we'll start there because you know, you gotta save your announcements for when it's, so there's at least two airdrops on the books for the next two months.

If I can code fast enough, [00:55:00] like I think hopefully one in September and definitely one in October. So, um, and those will be quite broad, right? There's not going to be very strict requirements in terms of like, you know, you have to write lore or anything like that. I think we're maybe out of that phase for a little bit in terms because we've set the culture for the community.

Um, I think these will be very broad in terms of just like, um, Well, one for the most, I don't wanna pay myself in a corner, but for the most part, it'll be more along the lines of like, you know, one wizard, one, one airdrop. So that will be very fun. And I think everyone will like them and have fun with these tokens once we drop them.

I've even got a third in mind. Uh, but you know, we can only do so much at once, so we'll still want more airdrops in November. I suppose.

Bearsnake: Something that I really love, and I'll keep it vague, but something that I really love about what we have planned in the next couple months is like, there's some really neat mechanics around, like cross collaboration, not only within the, but with other, uh, [00:56:00] communities.

Um, and so I'm excited, I'm excited about that because I think, I think there's room for people to, to discover what we're doing and obviously we're fine with, with being patient and in the long run, but I, I'm excited to, to see, uh, other people sort of. Be drawn to our, our system that we created.

Dotta: Yeah, exactly.

Like I think that, you know, some, I think that one of the things that you'll see from me and from us with like every airdrop is like a different mechanic in terms of like, who gets it, how many, what, what behaviors are we incentivizing? Who are we trying to draw in, or are we trying to reward like the base and to what degree?

And so, you know, I don't, we, we for sure have not explored the sort of idea space of airdrops and there's like all of these kind of like, things that we wanna incentivize or correct for. And so yeah, just it sh it [00:57:00] should be really fun.

Elf: It's definitely gonna be fun. I, I'm, I'm really excited about it. Um, you know, I mean, you know, we say this all the time, but that's, that's the thing about NFTs is, and really just blockchain in general is there's so much.

Blue sky ahead of us. Yeah. So much innovation, so many ideas that have not even been realized yet. Um, and that, you know, for me that's one of the funnest things about this project is just the creativity is just constantly rewarded. You know, not only creativity and art and aesthetics, but creativity and tokens and game mechanics and, um, you know, everything else.

So, you know, I think that's what, go ahead.

Bearsnake: I think it's also cool because, you know, we're really cognizant like what's going on out in the broader sort of web three ecosystem, and there'll be things that we wanna do, and if someone does something similar, we [00:58:00] immediately like, scratch it off the list and force ourselves to come up with something different.

Um, which I, you know, I think we wear as a badge of honor, you know, like everything we do, we wanna, we want to have like, Innovation, which I think is great. We hold ourselves to a high

Elf: standard. Well, the funny thing is like we've got so many damn ideas that, that we just, we don't have enough time or manpower to execute them.

Like, like I wish you guys could see our, our weekly all hands meetings. Like all of us, all of us just throw out several ideas every single meeting. And, and the hardest part is not executing them, but like selecting which ones we need to execute. Yeah. And when. Exactly. Yep. Yep. Um, um,

Dotta: before you post your big announcement, I posted a, uh, a link to a paper that I thought was really interesting in the secret tower, which took, which is around like, color naming in [00:59:00] different languages.

And so it's this idea that sort of the, uh, like different languages have more colors in like the, like green and yellow space, right? Like commonly well known colors for green. In English, there's only like, you know, three or four, whereas in some other languages, like French, they have like a better word for this, like cobalt green.

And so yeah, it's

Elf: worth looking into.

Dotta: As

Bearsnake: long, as, long as it helps my cause of cobalts being green, I'm fine.

Elf: I'm, I'm seeing it opening. I, I think, I mean, if I had to guess, I would guess that in the native cobalt tongue that there's. Only one color and it's yellow. So,

um, yeah, that, that's, that's very, uh, appropriate though. Thanks. That's, this is really cool. Yeah. Um, there's, there's a few more pieces of cult content I want to call out. Um, [01:00:00] uh, uh, Twitter user Maui, um, at Wda. She's been doing a lot of really great artwork lately. Um, I was really drawn to this warrior that she drew.

Um, and, uh, it, it's, it's just, it's just great. I, I just, I don't know. There's something about it that just, I, I just always get so excited when I see like, Like the original pixel art, and then how an artist has interpreted it. Um, th that's one of the most fun components of this entire project, I think, you know, seeing how the creative, uh, primitive is expressed in these other forms of artwork.

Um, so yeah, really great stuff from Maui. Um, and then, uh, r y f you know, every week he's, he's got some, some great content. Uh, this, uh, this rendition of his seven Tailed Kitney, uh, by Blanc and ft. It's just beautiful. Um, I love the palette, the pinks and the purples and the reds. [01:01:00] Um, and then I saw Emma put this on a magic card.

Um, it's, it's just gorgeous. Um, and then, uh, uh, here, here's a fun discovery. Um, we now know where, The, uh, baby wizards orphanages in, uh, in the universe. Um, apparently it is nestled, uh, between the Elysian Fields and Rabbit Lake on a, uh, on, on some little, um, idyllic little, uh, green Hill. Um, so the baby wizards do have, uh, have an orphanage we now know.

Um, and then, uh, and then, um, uh, finally, uh, Lords arisa. I, I know I'm not saying that right. Um, They were introduced to Forgotten Ruins. Um, and they did this really great piece of artwork to commemorate it. Um, and it's just, it, it's, I think it's, it's a goblin warrior with a, with a black [01:02:00] panther. It's, it's just beautiful.

Um, so welcome to the cult. Um, oh, and then, uh, uh, Chuck Cage. This has this really great new, um, portrait of, uh, of their wizard. Um, really great stuff. Uh oh. And then finally, uh, two Crows May, maybe you guys mentioned this last time, but Two Crows has been making these really great hats that they say, um, two crows ate my duck.

Um, have you guys seen these? I

Bearsnake: wear, I I wear, I wear them.

Elf: I wear daily. So good. I need

Bearsnake: to get one. Everybody's like, what does that hat mean? And I'm like, I don't have time to explain it. Yeah,

Elf: totally. That, by the way, is like the best kind of cult content where you just, you don't have time to explain it, but, but I

Bearsnake: started trying to explain it to like the barista at the coffee shop near the barricade.

And I, and I was like 60 seconds in and they were looking at me like I [01:03:00] was an insane person. And I

Dotta: just bear, bear saved his local coffee shop from being robbed. We didn't even have time for that. Oh my

Bearsnake: God. Wait, what? For another day? For another day? Maybe.

Elf: Oh wow. Oh yeah. I stopped, I stopped a

Bearsnake: perpetrator, but we'll, maybe

Elf: next week, we'll talk about next week.

Okay. I just have one question now. Did you do it by, um, using that really strong arm that you have that you used to beat me in arm wrestling?

Dotta: Well, have,

Bearsnake: you know what, I didn't, I didn't have to enable the, the, the, the arm itself, but I think just, just wielding the arm maybe, I don't know. There was, I'll say there was a moment, there was a moment where the perpetrator was gonna run.

It seemed like What? And they like, and they like looked me up and down. They're like, they were like basically judging whether or not I could catch them. And, and then they decided [01:04:00] the right choice. And that is to not do the thing.

Elf: Oh,

Dotta: do we need to have a sprinting contest? You know that elf was a track star in high school.

Elf: I was a

Bearsnake: track star el I ran track. So do we have to bring it from the arms,

Elf: the legs? Oh my god. Maybe I can redeem myself. Yeah, you might be able

Dotta: to.

Bearsnake: I dunno. I I, I might be putting on some weight. I'm pretty light in the toes though.

Elf: Alright, well next time, next time I come

Bearsnake: end having like a decathlon between Yeah. The iron

Dotta: wizard.

Elf: Oh my. Amazing. Let's do this. Ok, good. We're gonna do this. Um, okay. Well, yeah, I'm, I'm gonna drop my surprise, but, but like, Now I'm wondering if like, maybe you guys have already announced this, so maybe it's not even a surprise, but, um, I'm gonna treat it like it is. So people have been [01:05:00] asking for months, uh, El where's your TED talk?

And I feel like a lot of you might have even thought, did, did you guys announce it already? No. No, no. Okay. Okay. Awesome. Yeah, so no, I, I feel like a lot of people were like, he's probably lying about this Ted Talk. It probably never happened. No, it happened. It's out and I'm gonna put it right now in the secret tower.

So,

Bearsnake: and pee and peep the jacket. Peep

Elf: the jacket. Yeah. Yes. Peep the jacket. Um, give it a watch and honestly give it, give it a like, cuz it only has seven likes right now.

Give some love guys. Give us a love. Yeah. Give it a like and a comment. Um, we need the Ted people to know that this is one of the best or one of the most interesting TED talks that's ever been, um, that's ever happened. So yeah, there I am fully doxed. Well, at least my face is, [01:06:00] um,

Bearsnake: Emma gave it, Emma gave it a, oh, we have nine.

We're up to nine likes

Elf: right now. Let's get into double digits. Yeah. Uh, so yeah, there it is, guys. Um, enjoy. I, uh, I talked about the universe and, uh, world building, um, or decentralized world building. Um, it was really fun. You know, I'll, I'll tell you, it's the, one of the, one of the funniest things about it was like, there was, um, there was a few other people, uh, giving Ted talks when I got in there.

Like, I, I think they like, they like do 'em all in one day. Um, And, uh, you know, the people before me, they, um, I, I gotta say they didn't have as much stage presence as old LJ Troll.

Well, and here's why I say that, because like they, you know, it took them several times and they did several takes. Um, you know, that's something I just learned about Ted Talks is they're not like totally live like you [01:07:00] can do several takes. Um, but, but I, I'm not kidding. I literally went up there and I did the whole thing in one take without stuff, without cuts.

And so what you're seeing is like the only like take I did, it's like legit from the heart. So, so there you go.

Bearsnake: It's awesome. Great

Elf: job, man. That's great fun. Awesome. Um, well, yeah, we are definitely out of time. Anything else guys? Nope. Nope.

Bearsnake: No. Good.

Elf: All right. Um, well this has been, uh, wizard Wednesday, channeling out from the Quantum Downs.

This is El and Dota and Bear, g n everybody.

Dotta: Bye. Mad Zuki. Bye. Tanya Baron was here.

Elf: Goodbye.[01:08:00]
