The War of Roses was a Runes Trading Card Game tournament that was held in February 2023. It was the first ever official Runes tournament.
The winner was Varncass aka Artificer Chiron of the Havens.

Excitement stirred among the wizards as they learned that 28 chosen participants would compete in the prestigious Runes TCG event, the first of its kind, with the ultimate prize being an elusive Eternal Rose. The contenders were to be divided into two teams, Red Rose and White Rose, each consisting of 14 skilled wizards.
As the day of the tournament approached, whispers spread across the land that the victor would earn more than just an Eternal Rose. Little did the contestants know that triumphing in this competition would also grant them entry into the secretive Order of the Eternal Rose.
The participants prepared tirelessly, perfecting their strategies and honing their skills. When the fateful day arrived, the air was thick with anticipation. The tournament kicked off with a ceremonious draw, setting the stage for a series of intense duels between the Red Rose and White Rose teams.
