A vast expanse of untamed waters that challenge even the most experienced sailors. The air is thick with salt that hangs heavily in the nostrils and lingers on the tongue. The depths are teeming with life that defy classification and monsters of unimaginable size ply these waters. The dangers of The Brine impede navigation, and many uncharted islands are sure to exist.
Rumors
The Brine is the source of a myriad of rumors, myths, and fantastic stories. The water of The Brine is allegedly distinct from that of The Salt, and this is visible where to two meet. However, reports disagree on the exact nature of the distinction, which has led some to believe that the nature of the seas change with celestial conditions.
On the Map
The Brine is a large body of water in the known Runiverse. It adjoins The Salt at its northern reach, and stretches to the east via Asmodeus's Surf, reaching as far inland as Kelpie's Bay.
Inhabitants
The Lair of King Sline Oberon of the Sea Fairies
Sline is a king of the Sea Fairies from the House of Oberon. He rules this territory in The Brine with fierceness and bars entrance to those without his permit. He is known to destroy ships and feed on the crews of trespassers near his lair.
Enchanter Carly of the Surf (9578) understood Sline’s way of controlling with fear and death. As head of the Surf Pirate gang, The Ritz, Carly made a pact with Sline. She would stay clear of his area with her fleet of ships and but aid in his battles in return for helping her control crucial shipping lanes which were needed for Carly to capture ships and take their treasures.

Sea Fairies
Thousands of Sea Fairies pledged loyalty to King Sline Oberon and helped him control his region in The Brine. These small, green, scaly creatures had their own order and ranks in their society. Each family of Sea Fairies also had a specialty like bribery, theft, assassination, or hunting.
