The Cockatrice Skeleton is a Soul Familiar which appears to consist of the bones of a Mesozoic Cockatrice, though this notion has not been confirmed by any known ornithologist. Strangely, even the reanimated skeletons of these birds retain the instinct to spirit away the eggs from nests belonging to other species.
