Ancient Sphinx

A rare and elusive creature found in many deserts around the Runiverse. They are secretive and if seen at all, it is only during dusk or dawn. Though mostly cat like in appearance, they have feathery wings and oddly human looking faces. A few Wizards have been known to speak with them, though only in secretive tones.

Rumors have circulated that certain sphinxes have a love of riddles and will force a game of questions upon journeymen in the desert. The outcome of these games can often have dire consequences on those who loose.
