Owklin are an ancient race of humanoid owl beings that are descendants of the Great Owl.

Owlkin are known to exist by nearly all, but because they generally live reclusive lives, many in the Runiverse have never seen one in person. Some Owlkin have been able to integrate into cities where they can blend into the masses & retreat if needed. Owlkin are rarely found in small towns where accountability is high.

Owlkin Description

Owlkin have innate abilities that make them excellent Wizards and Warriors alike.

Owlkin physical gifts:

  • Agility/dexterity fighting styles
  • Aerial masters
  • Perfect stealth while flying

Owlkin magical gifts:

  • Descendants of a magical god
  • Wise beyond their years
  • Extremely knowledgeable
  • Dedication to their craft

Typical flaws of Owlkin:

  • Reclusive
    • Owlkin tend to live entirely on their own.
  • Elitist
    • Given their potent innate abilities & age as a race, they tend to think very highly of themselves relative to other races in the Runiverse.
  • Manipulative
    • Owls are predators by nature & will use their superior knowledge and sometimes sinister motivations to manipulate others into doing their bidding.

Owlkin Alignment

Owlkin are known to span the entire alignment matrix however their tendencies are:

  • Not “Good”
  • Lawful

They don’t tend to be “Good” since their level of altruism is very low. It isn’t impossible for them to sacrifice or work for the greater good, but their sense of altruism (if they have any) will usually come from serving a higher power vs serving their peers or the public.

Their lawfulness comes from their logical reasoning & belief that things happen for reasons. Their obedience to authority usually isn’t directed at societal constructs but more towards schools of thought & what they deem to be universal truths & understandings.
