In the Southwest Forests of the Wild rests a friendly and calm forest dubbed Hedge Wizard Wood. These woodlands are said to be excellent training grounds for beginners in the Arcane Arts. The trees contain hints of magic that seep down from the Fey, and the few Fary Folk who venture here are more agreeable than their northern brethren. Gnomes, in particular, are prevalent in the region, as are the occasional traveling Fungi. The Wood is boundless with plants and animals, who are all unusually friendly. Even bears and wolves seem more inclined to give a smile and nod to lone travellers, and not consider them prey. In fact, in deeper parts of the wood, it is said that some animals have gained a human-like sentience, can talk, and are seen having picnics together in small groves in the afternoon sunlight. | |||
