The Bamboo Forests sprawl endlessly across the region, untamed and ever-growing, towering into a verdant canopy that filters the dappled sunlight. The bamboo stalks stand tall, their slender forms creating a mesmerizing design of vertical lines. Bending in the wind, dancing to an ageless rhythm, they speak ancient tales, a medium for the spirits of the forest.
Travelers find navigation of the forest difficult, for landmarks become overgrown quickly, and the resident spirits find sport in confusing all who venture there. Some woodsmen have attempted to curb the forests the resilient growth for centuries, but to no avail, and now the bamboo is embraced as a vital resource. Green Hats in particular venture here often for this sustainable resource.
The only creature able to marginally tame the tenacious bamboo is the Raccoon Bear, a placid beast of the forest, who ambles about lazily, munching the green shoots.
The Bamboo Forests are located in the southeastern part of the known Runiverse. The Forests lie east from the Spirit Villa and southeast of the Lake of Lanterns.
