The Hole
Across the expansive tundra, surrounded by thousands of miles of nothingness, is a hole, nearly perfectly round, approximately 12 feet in diameter.
It’s discovery was accidental, quite literally stumbed upon by the famous twin explorers. Unfortunately, one of the twins fell in, never to be seen again.
The hole seems to have no bottom, for plumbing attempts have been made with miles of line that never reach bottom. Objects tossed into it make no sound, light shone into it fades into nothing.
Attempts to repel it’s walls have all ended in tragedy, for those brave enough to dive in never return. Modern technology breaks down, and magical methods have failed. The hole swallows all, its hunger never appeased. The endless curiosity it commands over those act as a lure to those who eventually feed it.
