Elf: [00:00:00] Let's get ready to rumble. It's Wednesday and we are Wizard. It's time for our weekly wizard. Wednesday day. I just gotta say, whoever put that Jock Jams track together is an effing genius. I have not heard that since 1993. Were you guys familiar with Jo Jams? Yeah, I was it like,

Dotta: yeah,

Bearsnake: do

Elf: like football game?

It felt like Yeah, it right. Dota It was supposed to inject some adrenaline and I don't think it did. Its job perfect. You're like, yeah, it's great. Love it. That's fine. I love,

Bearsnake: I love, I really

Elf: love John. Yeah. Awesome. Really get me going. Awesome. Channeling in from the quantum down it downs is, uh, this [00:01:00] is Elf

Dotta: and,

Elf: and bear.

Nice. Damnit, I, I got, I gotta find a better song. Next time you, we need more adrenaline.

Wizards Warriors. There you go. That's what I'm talking about. Let's talk about the Beast Drop. What an awesome event. Oh boy, it was so fun. Yeah. The I today, I, I, I don't know what was more fun? The, uh, great burning last Halloween or the Beast Drop? What do you guys think? I just feel like today

Dotta: I just, I really wanted the adrenaline rush of watching another Beast auction, of watching the Spawn spill out.

I, I miss it. I miss it. So I think we're gonna need to do more ongoing airdrops. That's

Bearsnake: really fun. Absolutely. And I think the, you know, what I liked about the Souls was that it was time of Halloween, so it felt very, like the event had this underlying, everybody was like, dressing up already and like going to parties, or if you have kids, you're like getting ready with the [00:02:00] candy and all that.

So it was like on theme, I think The Beasts season two would be fun. I don't know what like holiday calendar event is related to Beast, but one, we're gonna have to find one or we're just have to make our own Beast holiday.

Elf: Yep. Yep. Yeah, I, uh, I loved, um, uh, Joseph Flattery's tweet about, uh, venture capital versus Venture Kalu.

Hmm, super clever. Um, and, uh, I don't know if somebody can share that in the, in the top little section. Yeah, I can do it. Um, but, but yeah. So I, I, I have a lot of things to say about the bistro. Um, but first I just wanna congratulate all the winners, the seven winners. Um, so the, uh, the chaos chimera went to Methos at dialectic, um, or maybe it was Robin Z.

One of the guys at Dialectic, uh, or maybe the entire team at Dialectic, uh, got the, uh, the chaos chimera. Um, the bug Bear chief in [00:03:00] went to jail warden. The triple crowned cocke went to Aris dot East. Uh, the salt kepi went to block MoCo. The gigas Chad went to a hero. The sushi dev, uh, the nightmare imp went to Panico, and the seven tailed kite went to retired yield farmer.

Um, and so, you know, that's just an excellent group of beast owners. Um, season two was just amazing. Uh, it, it was, it was so much fun for me and, and, and the whole team really. Um, you know, I, I loved that it lasted a week long. Um, for me personally, I, I loved that I, I got to draw all those beasts. Um, I got to do some art at a higher res, which was fun.

Um, I, I loved what Tanya Del Rio did when she put them in the final Fantasy battle scene, because that was my [00:04:00] formal inspiration for the, for the Beast drawings. Um, and then, and then of course, the Theos theos around it were really fun. Um, there was the, uh, the gate unlock sequence, which. You know, our team was internally debating how long it was gonna take.

Some of us were like, what if it's gonna take days to open the

Dotta: gate? Yeah. What if it takes 20 minutes? What if nobody opens it? Yeah. Yeah. What, what?

Elf: Yeah. But, but how long did it take?

70

Dotta: seconds.

Elf: Yeah. Yeah. You guys opened that gate immediately.

Dotta: It took me like three weeks of coding to set that up and everyone open.

70 seconds.

Elf: Yeah. Yeah. And then, and then, yes. And then so like some people got some lock in fts out of that. Um, and then,

Bearsnake: uh, can, you actually, can, can jota can you just like, walk people through like the, how you built that? Because it's really three, three layers to the whole thing. [00:05:00]

Dotta: Uh, for sure. So, okay, so the gate.

Yeah. Well, uh, you mean about the gate specifically? No,

Bearsnake: I just mean like the whole, like, I am just in awe of how you, how you structured all, all of it and then, you know, all the way down to the spawn. I mean, I don't know if we wanna get into it, but I just thought it was, it was brilliant on,

Dotta: on your part. Oh, thank you.

Yeah. Well, in the lock NFTs, the, uh, locks will have, uh, utility in the future. So, uh, you know, that'll is to be announced, but we already have plans in place for, for how we want to use them.

Elf: Yep. Yep. Yeah. The gate opening, the locks, then the spawning mechanism. The spawning mechanism was a blast. Um, mm-hmm.

Bearsnake: Congrats to everybody who got a spawn. It was, it was really fun.

Elf: Yeah. So, yeah, I was gonna say, and if you didn't get a spawn, there's gonna be upper other opportunities, which I'll describe in a minute. But, sorry. Do, did you wanna say something? No, no. Yeah, no. I think when

Dotta: I, when I reflect on the spawn mechanic, I love the idea that it was [00:06:00] random.

I don't mind that certain wizards or, or like large wizard holders got several. I think, you know, our last few drops have been very much like, Um, per account, right? Which is disadvantages to whales who, who sort of have a lot like large holders. Um, you know, the flames was per account, the ponies were per account.

And so I don't mind doing something once in a while that kind of, uh, rewards bigger holders. At the same time, I do think that like maybe the supply we under Sean A. Little bit, um, you know, only having about 300 beasts. There were, you know, probably a good number of people who kind of were watching, checking, wish they had, got some and, and then they didn't.

So a couple of things that we learned from this one, I think, um, You know, sometimes maybe we'll do a check every day mechanic, but sometimes it's also nice to know if you're on the list or not. Um, and then I think probably for B season two, we have a plan right now that that will let anyone who wants to, uh, it'll still be active, right?

Like, you'll, you, you know, this about me by now, which is like, I'm always going to kind of favor sort of active [00:07:00] participation. But that said, I think anyone who chooses to participate will be able to participate and get something. And so we, we already are like designing season two, so excited. It's going to have, um, really fun tokens that I've never seen anyone else do.

It's going to have, um, probably economic utility for season one beast holders and season two beast holders. Plus everyone who kind of wants to get a, you know, let's say spawn or the equivalent of Spawn in that, uh, in that season will be able to. So it's, I'm, I'm very, very excited about it. But it's gonna have to wait until after Warriors, cuz we have so much to do to get to that.

Elf: Yep. Yeah. So season two will be an opportunity. Also, uh, if you read the Beast Smart Contract, you may have noticed that there's Room for Beast Number Zero, who is, who is as of yet unaccounted for. So Beast number zero will actually come out before season two. In fact, I think Beast [00:08:00] Number zero will be revealed next month and it will indeed have spawned.

So there's your opportunity before season two. Um, that's all. What did think about that for now? Yeah, I,

Dotta: I think Beast Zero will still probably only have 42 spawn like the rest. So it's not necessarily like every single person will get one, but you know, we have an opportunity to have some flex here in terms of who gets these.

So it should be fun.

Elf: Yep, yep. So, but, but you know, here's actually my favorite thing about the entire beast. Drop was the fact that it just, it expanded the universe. Um, cuz now we have seven new beasts and a ton of little spawns running around. And so the lore of the universe is just deeper and more complex.

And, um, so, so now we have, we have wizards, we have souls, ponies, [00:09:00] beasts, spawn, and of course soon warriors. And so the storytelling is just starting to get, um, it's starting to develop as this sort of intricate, uh, matic tapestry. Um, and so, and, and on top of all this storytelling and art and lore potential, the other thing that we're doing is we're putting more game pieces on the board.

Um, and so the game mechanics of this entire ecosystem is getting more complex. We, uh, we have a lot more toys to play with now, and so I can tell you that all these pieces from the wizards to the souls, the ponies, the flames, and then yes. And then even things like the flames and the locks, all of these pieces will start to reveal more and newer utility, um, you know, pieces from the past will continue to play a role.

Um, and, and so we at Magic Machine are really just having an [00:10:00] absolute blast mapping out all these pieces and designing what they do. And, um, to, to me it feels like, like game dev in real time. It's, uh, you know, it's not like, it's not like traditional game dev where you like spin years developing, game a game and then you release it and then you sit back.

And you, and you, and you start thinking about the next game. Forgotten Ruins is like a game that is constantly being developed in real time, and the players are playing it the whole time as you're developing, developing it as you're rolling out new features. Um, and so this whole ecosystem, the whole game theory around it just gets more and more complex as time goes on, as, as more characters, more pieces, more media, more and more.

It's all being developed in, in real time. Um, so that, that, that's my favorite thing about the whole bistro is it, it just, it, it grew the world by that

Dotta: much more. Yeah, and I mentioned this before too, which was like, [00:11:00] you know, I feel like I'm learning as a token omics designer and as like a project leader from last June until now, um, about like what works and what doesn't and how we can design tokens for the things that we want to like build, right?

The point of the project is world building and storytelling, right? We're trying to build, um, you know, one of the highest grossing media franchises of all time and trying to build this collaborative storytelling vehicle. Um, and I think that as that vision becomes a bit more clearer, What we can do in terms of drops and airdrops also becomes clearer, right?

Um, this idea that, like one of the things I always wanted to, wanted to be really careful of early on was this idea that we didn't, um, quote unquote dilute wizard token holders by doing like too many token drops. There are so many projects where that's their only roadmap is they're planning on diluting their supply.

Um, and I think as we kind of learn as a project, right? Uh, ponies weren't dilutive to wizard holders. Um, flames weren't [00:12:00] diluted, souls weren't diluted, um, beasts, spawn weren't diluted. All of these things actually strengthened the whole collection. And so, um, you know, I'm actually more inclined to do these kind of, um, sorts of airdrops after warriors, uh, than I've ever been.

And I think that's good news for wizard holders. It's just gonna be fun. Yep.

Bearsnake: Yep. Agree. More characters rich in the world, more fun.

Cult Member: Yeah,

Elf: totally. Um, yeah, and, you know, just finally I would add onto that is like I, I love like how each token, each game piece, if you will, has like slightly different properties, different technomics around it.

Like, like the fact that the spawn, there's like, like, like some of the common ones are, are in addition of tin. You know, we didn't put 'em through a generator and slightly adjust the properties. They're, they're the exact same spawn, like duplicated tin times. No other token in [00:13:00] our ecosystem is really like that, I guess.

Um, and just that subtle difference, I, I think like, sort of changed people's behavior around them. Like, um, like who was it that gave their their spawn away? Was it, was it lanco? Yeah. Yeah. And it just, I don't know. It's like, like one thing we always talk about at Magic Machine is like all of this, the art, the technomics, the mechanics, it's all just in service to like social engineering and, and, and like playing to the community and, and, and just shaping how the community behaves and, and rewarding them and just making them hopefully have fun, as much fun as possible.

Uh, with, with these, go

Dotta: ahead. And one of the things that Alexis said last week, or whenever it was, uh, was around the, the idea we asked, you know, what helped retain kind of that community as you grow. And one of the things he brought up was the gifting mechanic. Um, this idea that kind of [00:14:00] like you, you know, you bought Reddit gold and you could gift it to one another.

Um, and I think. That's, that's really resonated with me, which is like, what are systems that we can design that have like a gifting mechanic, right? Maybe we could integrate some sort of like discord bot into our, into the secret tower where there's like a gifting mechanic there. I dunno, we're exploring these ideas.

But yeah, I think Laco Moko sending that Kel Spawn was just a perfect example of how, um, you know, encouraging a gifting community with within our group. Yep. What a, what a men welcome. Totally. Or her. Or her or whoever they're, yeah. Um, one other thing on B season two, you know, this hasn't been finalized.

Maybe I'll change it, but like, I think one idea that's resonated in my head is that if season one, uh, of Beast was Beast Spawn was the theme. Um, uh, an idea that resonates with me is this idea that Beast devouring is an interesting theme for season two. So stay tuned.

Elf: Yep. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It'll, it'll be a totally different theme.

Different mechanic. For [00:15:00] season two, we're, we're still playing with it. Um, okay. We, let's see, let's see. We've got, uh, a couple other things. We've got bear cave updates, we've got Warrior Min Nomics and I wanna take some time to really, uh, shout out some cult con content cuz there's just been some amazing stuff in the last few weeks.

Um, where, where do you guys wanna jump?

Dotta: Let's talk. Do air update from the

Elf: bear cave. Okay. Hold. Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on. I have a new sound effect. Okay. Oh God. I know. That's, that's the, that's the right reaction horn. Um, and now it's time for the weekly update from the bear cave on the beach.

Dotta: Is that a bear growling?

Bearsnake: Is that an actual bear sample?

Elf: YouTube says that's the sound of a bear roaring, so I don't know, man, but go ahead.

Bearsnake: That sounds great. Sounds like a grizzly. Um, okay, so Bear cave update. Uh, I'll start with

Dotta: merch. Um,

Bearsnake: so [00:16:00] we have approved all designs for merch drop number two. Shout out to Locke.

Shout out to, um, Our amazing designer who we've been working with on the side, shout out to Tu Crows who's helping. There's a whole, everybody is sort of like, its whole team effort. Um, I think, you know, there's a lot of, uh, supply chain situations going on right now, but so, so timing on the merch drop, I would say is definitely, there's going to be a plethora of new merch in New York, um, for the party.

Um, we may be able to squeeze in like, online orders before. I don't know though, so we'll see. Um, uh, so that's Greg. I think everybody's really gonna, gonna like it. And I think moving forward, something that Locke, um, has suggested, which I really want to get behind, is this idea of sort of monthly, or, or like every, every [00:17:00] 45, 60 days, we drop a smaller, more limited collection.

And so we create a more, like a higher frequency, higher cadence to that. Um, which I think will be really fun cause there's, as, as many characters as we have, I think we want to pay homage to all these different collections to the world, all that stuff. So that's gonna be really fun. Um, we have, uh, found an incredible partner, uh, for trading cards.

Um, so we're doing physical trading cards. We found these amazing people in Vermont who do like old school, very nostalgic style trading cards. So we're working on, um, on what those, on what those look like. Um, I think we're gonna be doing some cool community, um, activations in like, in terms of like what wizards or warriors get to partake in their characters, being in those, in this first set.

Um, so that's gonna be really fun. Um, we, uh, are [00:18:00] closing in on a, a proper book publisher for, um, for a couple different kinds of books. Um, everything from like big awesome coffee table books to children's books to coloring books. So we're working through what that program looks like now. Um, also off of last, off of last, uh, wizard Wednesday, this whole concept of beasts in your pocket.

We have tracked down the original person who, who sort of shepherded that entire toy line. Um, and we're figuring out how to either partner with them, um, and do like a co-branded piece in my pocket type of thing, or just have them help facilitate the sculpting and help us make that. So look out for Beast in everyone's pocket, not just my pocket.

Your pocket. Your pocket. Your pocket In your

Dotta: pocket.

Elf: Ok. I just wanna, I, hold on. I just wanna interject. I had presented the idea of [00:19:00] Beast in my pocket long before Alexis o' Hanon brought it up on our on Wizard wind. That's, that's true, that's true. But Alexis like sealed the deal when he started talking about the monster in my pocket Chime.

So, so thank you Alexis. Cuz I have been wanting to do this for months.

Bearsnake: Yeah. Yeah. I was ignoring El and then when Alexis said, I was like, okay,

Elf: that is exactly what happened.

Bearsnake: No, it may just be because we're bleeding out of our eyes and ears working on a million different things. But yes, that was, Alexis was the guy who pushed us over the edge.

Um, uh, okay. So the party, we hired an incredible event company to put together a party in New York. Holy schully. Yep. I was a little nervous, cause I'll be honest, we're spending a shit ton of money, uh, on this party, I think. But it's all worth it. It's all to celebrate everybody here and everybody's not here is in the cult.

Um, they pitched us, uh, like a couple of concepts, like thematic concepts, and I was blown away. I mean, Dota [00:20:00] el you tell me, but like these people just

Dotta: brought it. Yeah, I love it. It's like gonna be better even than I thought that it was. And I don't even like parties and I'm gonna go, so you guys should welcome to.

Yeah. So, but lemme

Bearsnake: lemme just say, let me just say this. It is, um, if, if you could imagine what the universe is like, this is going to be that like in real life. So we're gonna do our best to, um, to have you step into the world that we all love, uh, online. But in i r l, we also, we're not, we haven't locked in the talent, but we are very close to locking in a talent that is quite theatrical.

They're, they're left of center. I will say some of you may have heard of them, some of you may not, they're not like this global name, but they are like, Indie New York Darlings that just played Coachella. Um, so fingers [00:21:00] crossed that they close. If not, there's a, there's a short list of other people, but we're really vibing with the people that we're, we're getting close with.

So that's gonna be fun. Um, and then

Elf: the, the theme of this party is theatrics from top to bottom. Yeah.

Bearsnake: I mean, think of if anyone has ever seen Eyes Wide Shot or they've been a part of, you know, a ceremony that is maybe a little weird and cool and fun. Like it's, I'm not sure if anyone knows what I, uh, what like Sleep No More is, but it's like an immersive feeder.

Um, I don't think we're going to be able to like hit exactly what they did, but we wanna bring that theatrics into this. So I think that's gonna be really fun. Comic book update. Um, we are done on the line Art. The coloring is happening. Shout out to, uh, Molly on our team who is, uh, helping push that over the edge and also shout [00:22:00] out to Al Jeane.

There's so much, um, coordination that goes into making comic book. This is the first time we are making a comic book. We didn't like hire someone else to make it. We are, we are putting this thing together piece by piece, so it's going into layout. We're getting the covers in. There's gonna be cover variance.

Speaking of cover variance, um, we, um, we, we basically partnered with Coinbase. I think everybody knows that we're part of Coinbase. We were, it was also, we were in the sort of breakout, the, the trailer announcement today. But the cover, there's gonna be one cover that's printed and then there's gonna be cover variants that will be NFTs themselves.

You will be able to redeem them when you have this comic book in your hand physically. Um, and they will be exclusive to the Coinbase platform. Um, it is an uncapped supply. Um, I don't know, Joe, if you want to talk about it, I don't know if we want to get into the details cuz we have a lot to talk about.

But point is, is [00:23:00] you'll be able to redeem an NFT cover variant on Nft Coinbase page. Uh, and that will happen in June. It'll kick off at the party. Um, so that's really fun. Also, we, we, we confirmed and locked in both Comic-Con. We're gonna have a booth there. We're sharing it with our publisher, bliss on Tap.

Shout out to Bliss on Tap. And Brian over there, they're helping us out. Um, and so we're gonna have both boos there. We may, we may even have a panel. We're working on that now. Um, and we'll, we'll have people dressed up like Wizards handing out comic books for free. Um, Speaking of, uh, sort of Comic-con and entertainment.

I don't know if anyone's been to Comic-Con, but it's like, it's gone well beyond just comic books. It's all about video games and TV shows and films and all the stuff. Um, we have officially closed our showrunner writer for the television show and holy smokes, I think I was like pumping it up a [00:24:00] little bit too early last week or the week before, but the stars aligned and we closed them, and I.

I am so flipping excited. This guy is like one of like a couple dozen people who can walk into a room and just sell things. Um, so Joda help. I don't know if you wanna, if you want to add anything to that. Yeah, no, I think you,

Dotta: like, you slid into this announcement, which is, in my opinion, the biggest announcement of kind of the, the call, you know, people are here to hear about the Warrior Drop Nomics.

But I think the thing that I'm even more excited about is the fact that we closed this, this showrunner that he agreed, uh, to, to help write with us. For me it feels like too good to be true. Like, it's like when you like shoot you, it is, there's like, there's like a really hot girl and you like shoot your shot and you're like, do you wanna go out?

And you know, she's gonna say no. And then she's like, yes, what time? And you're like, oh, snap. Like we're going on this date and this is happening. Like, and [00:25:00] so I'm like, I'm so inside. So this person, this person has multiple movies, uh, that they've written that have done over a hundred million at the box office each.

Like, so it, well, I'm so excited. So we can't tell his name yet. We're like gonna kind of like try to embargo some of the, the embargo that, and so that we can get some press for it. Um, but you, you, you know, I think here's the thing is that you maybe haven't heard of this person before because like, you probably don't keep track of Hollywood like writers, but you surely have heard of movies that they've written.

Um, you for sure know the people that they're like on stage with at conferences and you know, there's photos of them with, you know, people in that, you know, in IMDB and all these things. So like, I just. I'm like, too excited. I'm so excited about this. It's, it, it's really like, you know, it doesn't guarantee that we have a buyer for the show, but like, if we were for real doing a forgotten rude show, this is exactly how it would go.

Like this is the sort of person that kind of commands the, the, uh, the reputation that we need [00:26:00] to like, walk into, uh, a streamer and say, Hey, we're making this show. Do you wanna buy it? Do you wanna add anything to that

Bearsnake: El anything?

Elf: Um, no, I'm, I'm, I'm excited to bring him onto Wizard Wednesday.

Bearsnake: Yeah. He's stoked to come and we're gonna get into it.

We're gonna be, do you wanna just, do you want me to like, touch on like kind of quickly how the process works? Or does

Dotta: it really matter? No, no, I think it matters a lot. I think it's really interesting and really, like, I love hearing you talk about it and I think, you know, it's, it's, it's really opaque process of like, how do you go from being a little wizard cult into like being on Netflix.

And so talking through that process I think is helpful. I think it also does have to do with kind of like, You know, the Warriors, MIT, for example, which is part of what we wanna be able to do, is to walk in there and say, you know, we have the financing to make this show. Because as you can imagine, if you go to these streamers and you say, we have an idea, but we don't have any money, then you know, your chances are much less.

Whereas if we can go to them and [00:27:00] say, uh, you know, Hey, we have 30 million in the bank. Right? So, you know, you guys correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what we're aiming for right now is, um, around one hour show, eight to 10 episodes. And the cost for that at the level that we want to do at the level that of the trailer that you're gonna see in a couple of weeks is around 3 million in episode.

And so, like, we have to be able to credibly walk into these rooms and say, Hey, like we are making this show. We have the 30 million to finance this show. And like, and we have, look at our community, look at our cult content, look at our stories, look at this writer. Yeah. That we have. And so I think that, that we have, um, Well, how all those things in place.

Bearsnake: Yeah. Yeah. So I think the biggest difference is, like you said, you can go in and like pitch an idea and you have a great writer that helps. But there's like a, a development department, creative development. These are like the gatekeepers who subjectively decide whether your idea is good or good enough or [00:28:00] not.

Um, and there's that. And you, they can say, they can say no. They can say yes, but write a pilot. They can say yes, but write a pilot in five scripts. They can say, yes, let's go straight to series. And, and it's, it's, it's convoluted and it's painful and it's not, it's not always super fun. Um, the, the development process is really painful, especially for the writers because they're getting notes and you can't really show them things cuz it's just words on paper.

Um, so there's that. And we want to stay away from that. We want to go in and meet with a different team, which is the acquisitions team. This isn't the team that looks at a project that is already in the can and done, or they have full financing to just go make it. And they, they look at it in a very different light because it's being made.

And, and it also, and I think this is actually really important, it allows the, when you come and [00:29:00] like when we walk on the door and we're saying, we're financing the show, and will you acquire it? That allows us and y'all to like maintain ownership. Of the, I like the, the expression of the TV show. So to back it up, if you go in there and just pitch it and say, will you please pay for the show?

Here's an idea. And they say, yes. Best case scenario, they say yes. They own the shit out of it. Right? You get like, some, like backend points. And backend points have really changed over the years. Back, like before streamers, there's a different financial model and writers were making a lot of money and, and producers who weren't writing but were, you know, helping put the show together would make a lot of money now.

Like, it's like, it's like a descending, it's like Netflix and stock today actually, which is just like going down the ship. Um, which is pretty good for us actually. But point is, is, is if you walk in and you're paying for it, you get to, [00:30:00] you get to. Control what really happens. Um, instead of like, instead of like pitching your idea, giving your baby to the buyer and them dressing it up however they want.

And so it just, it just gives us the power to make the show that I think we all want.

Dotta: Yeah, that makes sense. And, and I also think that like, we have to be careful about how we talk about this. One of the things that we're trying to do is to redefine how the industry handles IP rights. Um, and so part like, yeah, I.

Typically these shows don't throw off a ton of profit in season one. You have to kind of get re-signed for sort of future seasons. But I can tell you that one of the things that we're working on is redefining how those royalty rights work, um, with regards to the NFT space. I mean, I have to be fuzzy on the details now, uh, but we're, we'll work with kind of our lawyers and [00:31:00] regulations to kind of establish a new standard there.

And so we're just so, so excited about this. That's

Bearsnake: great. So it's, it's, it's a big deal. We should all be very excited. You'll meet him soon enough and, uh, yeah, it's gonna be fun. And it, and it really does. I think it is a cornerstone to what we're trying to do here and we're trying to build, having a show on Netflix allows us to, you know, reach a much wider audience and, and to be honest, like at this point, This is another little thing, this is a little bone I have to pick, is like, there are all these like announcements about projects like signing with talent agencies.

Um, listen, talent agencies are great. They've helped us get this far. We work with almost all of them on a semi-regular basis, semi-daily basis. Certainly a weekly basis. And, and, and, and so I just think like when you sign with an agency, you also have to give up a bit of the baby. Yeah. And, [00:32:00] and I think it's, you know, we could, if we wanted to sign with an agency, we could sign with an agency.

But I think because because of our position and what we're able to do as Magic Machine, we can, we can utilize them without having to cut them in, if that makes sense.

Elf: Basically, bear is saying that he's annoyed with all these other projects bragging about signing with agencies cuz it's not even that big a deal.

And we just skipped right over that part. Oh,

Dotta: these, these projects that you find that are announcing that they have agencies are like in my dms being like, Hey, can, can you help us find a game developer? Our agent is like having trouble, like, you guys have a game developer. You know? Yeah. So like, we're getting the, we're getting what we need without it, but then we're not necessarily getting the press, which is frustrating, but what I like, we'll get it when we announce our showrunner.

Bearsnake: Yep. It's just, it's just like Hines catchup. Good things come to those who wait. Yeah. Um, it's just left for Hines Hines. If you wanna sponsor the party, lemme know. [00:33:00]

Elf: Well, I think that was maybe the best update from the Bear Cave we've ever heard.

Bearsnake: Oh, that's, let's, let's stay on that. Let's stay on that

Elf: soundbite for a couple weeks. No, let's, uh, let's jump to, uh, the main event. Why you're all here. Let's talk Warrior Minton. Okay,

Dotta: cool. Yeah, absolutely. So I published, um, two blog posts. Maybe if someone could share them in the chat, they've got kind of lost.

I'm also gonna share, um, for a second time maybe the like overarching, uh, diagram. I don't necessarily need to give the people on this call really like the pitch for Warriors. Um, but on that blog post, uh, we have, you know, we have some of that there. And so, you know, warriors will be playable in the universe game.

They'll get 2D walk cycles and turnarounds. We're gonna make, um, 3D models for all of the warriors just like we are for the Wizards. Um, so that way you'll be [00:34:00] able to play your, your, your warriors in 3D meads. You'll be able to put your wars in 2D metas. Um, you'll get access to the N F T NYC party and any other events we do, um, commercial IP rights, you know, book of lore, all all of these things that you kind of know as part of our community.

We'll also apply to Warriors and so we're just try to outline that. Really the like, core idea of the, of the auction is we're trying to balance like a, a lot of different stakeholders. So what, what we're gonna do, the main thrust is going to be, um, a last price Dutch auction. So a lot of these other projects that talk about how they're doing a Dutch auction, if you actually look up the definition of a last of a Dutch auction, it actually means that everyone gets the same price.

A lot of these other projects, they're actually doing like a descending auction or a reverse auction, right? Where, you know, let's say that you buy out of the gate for two and a half E and then the price drops and then somebody else gets it for, you know, 0.7 E or something. Um, it's not exactly fair. Like you, the creators might say, oh, well you were willing to pay it that much so you just paid what you were willing.[00:35:00]

Um, but at the same time, you know, you kind of misjudged what the market as a whole was like, gonna value this, this project at, so ours were actually doing it fairly, which is, um, the first, so the supply of Warriors is gonna be 16,000. Um, the first 8,000 are going to kind of set the price for everyone else in a Dutch auction.

And what that means is like you bid as soon as it's at a price that you like, and then at the end of that phase, we'll issue a refund to everyone who bid, um, above basically the final clearing price, right? So we'll, we'll, we'll open the Dutch auction. People will wait bid. As soon as kind of the first 8,000 have sold out, whatever the last one sells for, everyone else will get a refund, uh, for the difference in price.

Okay, so that sets the, the, the price of, uh, for everyone. So then in phase, so in that phase, um, there's currently not any limits to how many you can buy. Um, you know, I've been getting some feedback that maybe we need to [00:36:00] limit per wallet, five per wallet, 10 per wallet. I'm not really, I'm not exactly sure in the current structure right now, there's no limit to the amount that could be bought per, uh, per account.

In phase two is the mint list phase. So the mint list phase would be all holders. Um, all holders will be able to, um, all holders will be able to, uh, uh, get Mint one Warrior and. Anyone who is also on the allow list will also be able to mint one Warrior. Uh, and this will be at the, uh, Dutch Auction Clearing price.

So this means everyone who holds, you know, a Forgotten Ruins token. There is, there's a warrior available to you, to mint. And then anyone who gets on this allow list, which maybe is from let's say adjacent communities, right? You know, we've talked about communities that we, that we like and we think are good, right?

You know, maybe somebody from legend maps or crypto covens or, you know, we'll establish who those communities are and how many people get on those mint lists and we'll work that process. Um, [00:37:00] but this phase basically makes sure that everyone who is a wizard holder is able to get one in kind of, uh, like there's, there's no gas war.

You have 24 hours. Um, you can min whenever you want to get one. Uh, warrior and as well as anyone else who's on the mint list can get at least one. And this idea here will be, um, a really wide distribution, right? There will be maybe something like, um, you know, hopefully as many as like. Three to 6,000 people on this list who are able to mint if they want it.

Um, and yeah, so that's phase two. And then if those don't mint out, right, presumably not every single person who's on the mint list is going to, uh, uh, claim their warrior. Um, then phase three will be a public face, and it's, and then there probably will be, you know, some sort of gas war here, right? Because it's just like, all right, anything that's left over, you will be able to, uh, to, to mint those one.

So that's what's on this diagram. There's a few other things. [00:38:00] If you check out the blog post, um, at the bottom of the blog post, some things that I want to point out is the supply breakdown. Um, Everyone who has written in the book of lore prior to Wizard Wednesday, um, prior to like when I published the blog post about an hour ago, uh, will get a free warrior mint.

Um, so we will of course, like be kind of, um, you know, filtering that out a little bit. What you need to do is you need to register with Premit. You need to register with pri with the wallet that holds the warrior that has lore. Um, did you have a question bear?

Bearsnake: Oh, no, no, no. There was a question that I think like there's a question from, uh, waffle talk around the clarity around and multiple wallets.

Dotta: Yeah. So I think that well, okay, so for the airdrop phase, we're gonna be looking pretty closely to try to make sure that there's not like unfairness happening, right? So I'm gonna leave it [00:39:00] at that because obviously like, Um, the more you kind of describe your like filtering process, the more easier it is to get around.

So we'll be looking closely at, um, if you look at the blog post where we announce that all, um, wizards with lore get a Warrior Mint, a Free Warrior mint, um, there are some clarifications there about what we're gonna kind of look for, you know, um, there is some lore in the book of lore, for example, that isn't the sort of thing that we are like trying to encourage as a community.

And so while I don't wanna get into, um, let's see, it's very hard to define art and really, like, I don't wanna be the judge of, um, someone who's being earnest. So if someone is trying to be earnest, then it'll be accepted, right? But at the same time, there, there are a few things in the book of lore that everyone can look at and clearly be like, yeah, they were just doing this for the airdrop.

Like,

Bearsnake: can I just say what you're, can I just say what you're referring to? Cause that's, it's pretty, someone wrote penis. As the entry into the Book of lore [00:40:00] doesn't count.

Dotta: And like, you know,

Elf: bear, you just wanted an excuse to say penis on Wizard Wednesday. Listen, you could

Dotta: say like, go ahead. Sorry. I was gonna say, you could, you could say, oh, it's performance art.

Like, I wanted to, you know, draw attention to like the meaninglessness of life and airdrops or whatever, and it'd be like, No, like, I don't, like, we're really trying to build something special here. And like, you wouldn't want people who put a lot of effort into their lore be like, wait, so I'm getting the same airdropping as someone who's wrote penis?

Well then like, I guess I have a lot of choice words to write in the book of lore, right? Like, we wanna make sure that we're encouraging people to like to, to, to, to like perform earnest creation, right? Because we're trying to like build, build something special. Um, so to that end, there's, we're also donating another, uh, 333.

Sorry, I'm, I'm just laughing.

Bearsnake: Yeah, sure. Sorry, sorry.

Dotta: Yeah. I'm a child. I'm a child. I should remind [00:41:00] everyone that we're trying to get to, you know, 50% women at least by, uh, next year. So like, you know,

to.

So we're also donating, um, we're also donating 333 Warriors to the Forgotten Council, or to the House of Wizards, I suppose. Um, basically to the dow to a creator's fund. So what we'll do is the DAO will set up, um, probably a, like a, like a, a like a committee, a sub Dao, who will basically be in charge, uh, of this, this idea of like bringing creators into the cult, right?

So one of the problems with the Dutch auction is of course, that the price that, that, like let's say crypto Twitter is willing to pay, right? Crypto natives are willing to pay for a warrior because they sort of see, you know, they see the vision, right? And they see they, they played and they kind of like get eth or whatever.

It's usually much higher than people who are newer to NFTs, particularly creatives. And I think we [00:42:00] wanna really make sure that we like, can draw creative people who like, want to, to make things into the cult. And so the, the idea behind these 333, um, is. Uh, it is basically to draw creative people into the cult who maybe wouldn't be able to join otherwise.

Um, and I don't think that we drop all 300 of those at the same time. Right. It might take a year for us for, for everyone to dole those out. Um, but I'm okay with that. So, so we're donating 333 to the Creators Fund. Um, there'll be about 325 for the team and partners. Um, so that'd be like us. And then we're, we've got about 54 community honoraries, um, contests.

Oh, the other thing that I wanted to say, which is, um, there were a lot of really good people on the honoraries nominations list. So we took the honorary nominations list, right. So of course there was, I forget exact exact number, 13 people who won honoraries. Congrats to them. Um, but there was like probably another, well, I don't know exactly, but we're, [00:43:00] we're taking all of the people.

Whose name was mentioned in the nominations more than five times or more, which is about 30 people. And those people will also get a Freeman. So, um, an additional Freeman to everything else. You know, I think we wanna kind of, the honorary situation, we want to make sure that everyone who kind of like should be recognized was recognized in that regard.

So those, that's where that 50 goes. So, so this is how the, uh, the supply breaks down for wizards. This is how the phases go. Trying to be really fair for everyone. Uh, trying to, uh, yeah, yeah. To create something. Great. And so, uh, yeah, if you have any questions, you can tuck me in the chat. I'll, I'll look at them.

Now. Doda,

Elf: there's another component to it, which is, um, so the, so the Warrior's Min is in three phases, however, the N F T itself will not be revealed until all three phases are done, right?

Dotta: That's right. Yes. Yes. Oh, you know [00:44:00] what? I don't love? Okay. I don't love waiting for the reveal. One of the things you notice for, I think all of our mints is that they're immediate reveal, right?

Because I think it's so special. You minted, you bought something, and then like you get to see what you have right away and you get to like make your choice and start living with it. I think that like the way, the way the markets work, We need to wait until the last phase is finished before reveal. Um, there's a lot of reasons for this.

I can get into it or whatever. Um, but you know, you kind of, well, whatever, I've spoken long enough. So the reveal is gonna be after the third phase. And so for example, the free warrior minting will happen after phase three. So if you sort of qualify for a free warrior, you know, we'll have phase one, phase two, phase three, which you'll notice are on three separate days, by the way.

Right. It's Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Um, and then that, I think we'll try to do it. So it's either that, um, Friday evening or um, or Saturday where you'll be [00:45:00] able to, to, to mint your, your free, like book of lore, uh, warriors. And then we'll do the reveal and, and we'll do the reveal, like Right. You know, right around the same time.

Bearsnake: Yep. Oh, we have a, we have a question from Gs. Uh, is the, is the free lore basement the same as your phase two meant if you're a

Dotta: holder, No, so the phase two min is paid. The phase two min is, is not a free min. Phase two is holders and allow, listed folks are able to mint at the Dutch auction price at their own convenience, gas free.

But it is still paid at the current price.

Elf: So that was a very complex explanation. If you did not follow that, there is an excellent blog post that explains it perfectly. Right, Notre? Yeah.

Dotta: Yeah. I hope it's perfect

Bearsnake: and if anyone has any questions, just put pop em in, Chad and we'll try to, we'll try to pull em up.

Elf: Yep. Yeah. [00:46:00] Questions about the min or anything else? Um,

Dotta: oh wait, hold

Bearsnake: on, hold on, hold on. Ssa, how do holders get into the allow list? Is it just through recruitment and that answer is

Dotta: correct? Yes. Okay. So holders get into the allow list just by being a holder. I mean, my preference is that you would use premit regardless, but, you know, I don't wanna frustrate people who are like, oh, I didn't realize I had to pre-register.

Like surely there will be someone and, um, so yeah, please register for the premit even if you didn't re write lower, but you still will qualify for the min list phase regardless.

Bearsnake: Cool. Yep. So we'll, and, and we'll make sure that we're constantly posting the explanation of how this all works. And, you know, sometimes you need to read things twice.

If someone's confused, please share that link. Um, so that it's, it's clear. And we'll try to be on it, uh, and, and answer as much as possible in real time. [00:47:00]

Elf: What's up man? How's

Dotta: it going? Congrats on everything you guys are pushing out so far. Um, quick question. Um, does the lament, uh, include those who've written lore for ponies as well?

Yep. Yes. Awesome. Thank you. Yep.

Elf: Yeah, we're not gonna leave out the ponies. No, exactly. Dr. Slur. What's up? What's up? Hey. Hey. I wanted to know if you could say anything about the locks, like any, um, any hints about what's going on with the locks. Like I saw Doda said when I posted a picture of a lock, Doda replied

Cult Member: with 1968 degrees, which is the melting point of gold.

So I'm

Elf: wondering when. No, that's your only the could not help himself. That's your only hint. All right, cool. Lore punk. Margaret, what's

Dotta: up? I'm just overwhelmed and this is all amazing and you keep blowing our minds [00:48:00] every week. Um, uh, I, I just wanted to make a point to people, moon Birds has the founder of dig.

We have the founder of Reddit, and the Reddit is way

Bearsnake: bigger than Dig. I saw that tweet. I saw that tweet.

Dotta: Yeah. Thank you for that. And I'm just sharing that because that is informs all of these discussions that informs the discussion about the men Nomics and the price discovery of the true Dutch shocks.

And I just want people to keep that in mind. Um Yep. Cuz that's, that's the value here. And, and that's basically all I had to say. I'm not gonna blast your ear drums this week. You're not gonna curse us with a song. The song, the song from last week is almost done. Um, and the gentleman from Dialectic, uh, is gonna get that.

I'm working on that with one of our amazing wizards who I do not see here. So I'm not going to dox them, uh, [00:49:00] without their knowledge, but it's almost done, and we are gonna do something. Awesome. Thanks. All right. Sweet,

Elf: sweet. Um, cool. Well, I have, I wanna give a bunch of shout outs to the cult content. Uh, are, are we ready for that or, I'm ready.

Yep. Yeah. And, and then, and then I think s Spz wants to, to read some lore today. So, uh, if Spz, you're in the, if you're in the audience, just, um, invite yourself up. Um, but otherwise, uh, you know, a really big event. As if there wasn't enough already, uh, that happened this week, was with stock the first ever with stock.

Mm-hmm. Are you kidding me? Um, so, you know, I just, I, I gotta say like, everything I saw about Wiz Stock just blew my mind. First of all, you had acid eaters, amazing [00:50:00] psychedelic wizards. I, I just kept looking at all of her drawings and I was getting jealous cause I was like, damn it. I should have put that in the Wizard collection.

Damnit, I wish I w this should be like an official collection, like psychedelic wizards. They're freaking awesome. I, I love the ones that are in the, like the, uh, the cobalt onesies. I love the rainbow dresses. I love like the hippie sunglasses. I love the bongs. There's just so many great details in that collection.

Uh, acid eater is just phenomenal. So that was the first observation. The second observation, obviously the musical talent lineup was amazing. You had Dr. Slur, JL romantic, Chandler Red Cookie Tree, I think Bill Gaines maybe was one of the musicians. Um, and then it took place on the, uh, the, um, the Minecraft server.

Um, and, and then Oz like drew some flyers for it. Um, and it was just one of those [00:51:00] events that the community just totally designed and, and put together themselves with without any magic machine, had nothing to do with it. And, and, and I love that. I love that you guys are doing these, these big events with art and music and, and, and organization.

It was just, it was so good. Woodstock is amazing. I can't wait for Woodstock, uh, 2023. Um, so yeah, so that was awesome. Um, and then. Just, uh, some other standout cult content. Um, Dr. Pop did this amazing rap single where he basically, uh, resurrected Tupac and Biggie to sing a song about X Cassandra out of the Straight Outta Limbo.

I don't know how he did that. You guys saw that, right?

Dotta: Yeah. I don't know. I assume it was like a deep fake or whatever.

Elf: [00:52:00] Or, or, or actually Resurrected Biggie, right? Some intense, literally could be either one. Cra. So, you know, I mean that, I think that's like the second like big rap single that the universe, um, has seen first being, of course, ring a bell by Magus Wair.

Um, but yeah, when, uh, when rap battle between Dr. Pop and Magus Wair, that's, that's my question. Um, And then, uh, so Art X I e, art artsy, I'm not sure how to pronounce it. Um, he did an awesome Leno cut of, uh, the Forgotten Room's eight Bit logo. Um, I think that's the first Leno cut. I, I saw, I I think it was a Leno cut.

It might have been a wood cut. I'm not sure.

Dotta: I love it. I want a physical, like if you're listening, uh, I'll get a PO Box and I would love to like hang one at my wall. It's amazing.

Elf: Yep. Yeah, totally. And then, uh, and then R Y F ald Yield Yield Farmer has been dropping some great illustrations. We saw one with a Griffin and then one with [00:53:00] that mp.

Um, I'm still trying to steal that artist from R y F. Um, and then, uh, seek Goliath with, uh, li Lira, um, with just this really beautiful piece of two wizards in this sort of romantic embrace. Um, and, and I could really see the story in this one. The, uh, the, the female wizard, she's all dressed in darkness. The male wizard, he's all light, but then they're both connected by the Neptune Roon.

Um, it's just a really gorgeous piece. Um, rare Labs has just been so prolific over the last few weeks. They've done about 500 amazing pieces just over the last two weeks, and I, I can't believe how lucky we are to have someone like Rare Labs just constantly creating such great content. Um, the standout one for me was this really great, one of the, the Lit Emperor Supreme with a, with a wooden boy.

Um, oh yeah, that's a good one. [00:54:00] Yeah, I, I love the Lit Contemporary. He's such a cool character. Um, and then, uh, and then yeah, Tanya Del Rio did that awesome, um, final fantasy thing, uh, with, um, her two wizards, uh, than, and cheo. Um, and, and then she did some, some, I think, I think she illustrated, um, did some character designs herself with, uh, Santa Cheo and the, and the little, the Little Pony.

Um, Santa and cheo are becoming legendary. I'm seeing a lot more output from out output from them, and I'm starting to recognize them every time I see 'em. Um, um, grayling has been doing some really cool musical compositions, um, and then putting a, a wizard walking through the forest to them. It's, it's, I I just love the, the, the look and the effect of, of combining the music with that animation.

The me and

Bearsnake: the music is incredible. There was one specifically. I forget what color, uh, wizard it was, but it, I think it was a guy [00:55:00] wizard walking through the forest and I had it on loop in the bear cave for like an hour straight. Oh, awesome. And I was just loving it. So. So props, props and grayling talented guy.

Elf: Yep. Yep. Um, and then Battle Ma Hagar, uh, aka a DJ B with the awesome ar composite of a, of a wizard and a race car. Did you guys see that?

Bearsnake: Yes. It's amazing.

Elf: Oh, good.

Dotta: Like, I'm having, having trouble sharing these in the space, so we post 'em on Twitter, so if you're, if you're calling one at home Yeah. Just look at our

Twitter.

Elf: Yep. But yeah, that, that ar composite looked really good. I just, uh, I wanna see the wizard drive the car, cuz that, that car was pretty impressive.

Dotta: Um, are good. Uh,

Bearsnake: I don't think so. I don't think they're good at operating

Dotta: motor vehicles. It depends on the hat. There, there

Elf: is that scene in Harry Potter where they, they crash a car into a tree.

So if that's any indication. Um, and then, uh, Sammy Kitty with, [00:56:00] uh, uh, wizard on Pottery. I think, uh, this is the first ceramics project I've seen with, uh, in, in the Cult. That was cool. Yeah. Super cool. Um, so, okay. And oh, and then, uh, the, the two memes that really made me laugh, uh, was, uh, they're both from Magus Wir.

Um, he did, you know, that meme of like the two musclely arms, like giving each other like a, like a, I don't know, their shake or something. And it's Uhhuh It was, it was, uh, oh God. I'm gonna mess it up now. I, it was, it was with, it was the Forgotten Wounds cult in Olive Garden. And, and, and they're, they're shaking over when you're here, your family.

I totally butchered that meme. You just have to see it. Um, And then, and then he did another one of, uh, you versus the wizard he told you not to worry about. And it's a, it's a little cobalt wizard next to, uh, the, the absolutely ripped and buff key master. Um, so yeah, yeah, I totally destroy these when I described them.

You [00:57:00] just have to see 'em. But, uh, well done Megan here. Um, and uh, I'm probably missing about a thousand other cult shoutouts, but those were the ones I've got on my list. Um,

Bearsnake: well it's good timing cuz it's, uh, two to three over here on the west coast,

Elf: two to three and we have a Soer Elias, are you ready to read some lore?

Hey guys, can

Cult Member: you hear me? Yeah. Yeah. Awesome. Listen, I'm, uh, I'm multitasking here. I'm prepping the house for my son's birthday tomorrow and it's nearly midnight and I forgot. I was, I was, I forgot I was gonna read Laura, but um, and I'm trying to listen to you guys just bring absolute fire tonight, which is amazing.

Um, But I got this lore that I wrote for Sobi, um, a while back, and unfortunately he didn't get it in the book of lore in time for a pony, but I know he got it in time now for a warrior, so I'm

Bearsnake: really

Elf: psyched about that. Great.

Cult Member: Um, so, but Elf, I need some help with this one because this is for [00:58:00] shaman, um, f u g h.

Now, how would you pronounce that

Elf: name? I'm gonna say F but I don't even know. Good, good. Ok.

Cult Member: Because that's what I kind of worked with. Yeah. Uh, so this is Shaman f uh, he's a lovely cobal, uh, three prop Cobalt with a, uh, he's got that yellow staff, the blue aristocrat, uh, suit on. Um, and, uh, yeah, this one's for you.

So, but here it goes. The prologue starts with a, uh, excerpt from, um, inheritance versus experience by an author unknown. The poor in their despondent and Ill fortune prefer to clinging to their conviction that Ill fortune. Their lly lot in life surely comes not from their own actions or lack thereof, but are a result of the cosmos as great conspiracy against them regardless of how hard they work, how devoutly they pray.

Surely they would ever end up as the lowest [00:59:00] case. The wealthy will of course be adamant of their superiority and the insistence that there is something tangible, some aspect of their character, perhaps the very blood in their veins that sets them apart. Why else they would ask. Would they be so fortunate and elevated far above the riff and the wrath, if not for their excellence?

Clearly they're both entirely wrong. Yet the truth still el alludes me seek as I may. If fortune favors the bold and brave, then what of the kindhearted? Perhaps we have been measuring success entirely wrong this whole time.

Dotta: Few,

Cult Member: for just a second. His name exclaimed with such volume, brought him back to his youth, very much an average cobalt family.

They were far from wealthy and he had always struggled with his 12 siblings fighting for scraps, vying for father's scant attention, competing for [01:00:00] mother's favor. He had mostly lost on all accounts ever, the runt. He was never fast enough to eat first, nor strong enough to join the hoard with his father and snapping back to the present.

Still ensure's name F was indeed a given name, where simply an ex exclamation of disgusted and annoyance. F Please favor shaman a minute of your time. The call came again and he stopped and turned around his fancy robes swishing about him. Running towards him filthy and tattered robes fail. Flailing was a disheveled figure.

Q had to fight the instinct to cover his nose or take a step back, reminding himself yet again that not too long ago, he was not far removed from the de, the decrepit figure falling to its knees before him dipping his harmony staff to gently tap the man's chin, he guided the man back to his feet with the indigo [01:01:00] length of wood.

Sir, I am your favored nor famous, so please, when have you my name? Yes, the stranger locking eyes. Your legend is spoken with awe down in the shambles. Few have not heard of your spiritual proficiency and many claim your charity has been of immeasurable value. It was true. Of course. He had made a habit of walking the less favored quarters of the red Wizard capital, the wealthiest city of all the land by a fair margin, the center of all commerce and the seat of the prominent elite of red wizards, of course, had its darker side.

Everett seemed that wealth would invariably rest. Its bloated backside on the backs of those less fortunate, quietly and gently tapping into his magic, letting the familiar feeling seep into his mind, focused by his staff, he peered closer with the man. [01:02:00] Immediately. His mind exploded with visions, his scrawny frame veritably crowded by spirits, all extremely agitated, blurred his vision quickly, closing his eyes, and severing his connection to the spirit realm.

He gasped and took a step back. Are you all right? The man surged forward to grasp his risk and support, but the contact only made the magical aura surrounding the man explode again in his mind, roughly disengaging from him. A few caught his, a few shook his head to clear it. Sir, I am fine. Please. How may I be of service?

He asked, keeping a calm facade that there was definitely something converging on this man to have the spirits in such an upper war. It is my son, you see, he is not well, will not take food nor drink. The stranger wailed. Tears in his eyes. They seem not malevolent. These spirits and their intensity made for a difficult reading.

However, this felt significant, much more so than any others he had [01:03:00] ever witnessed. Who is this man? Or perhaps more importantly, who is the son? He thought, I will find you tonight. Leave now. But first, what's your son's name? He asked. Thank you. Thank you. He bears the name of his great-great-grandfather. His name is Samal.

He gushed as he turned around and ran soon disappearing into the crowds. That's it.
