Elf: [00:00:00] Welcome everybody to our cult meeting, a k A Wizard Wednesday. This is Elf and Doda channeling in from the quantum downs. The Kepes are laughing. Goblin town is rumbling, and the black goat flirts with the quantum shadow. Our friend, which Lilith is on a journey from which she may never return. Time is a circle.

My friends and I myself just finished the Wizard turnarounds and like, or Oro Boros. Dota will make the generator repeat itself to reassemble all 10,000 wizards with 360 degree fidelity. Dota, I am am still amazed that you're gonna be able to reassemble all 10,000 wizards in the exact combinations. How are you going to achieve this?

Dotta: Oh, it's dope. So, well, we've also turned, uh, in the same way that we created, uh, 342 parts of artwork for the individual wizards. We're also gonna be taking those [00:01:00] parts, well, the heads and the bodies anyway. And you and your team have created, uh, the turnaround sport. And so we will write some code for the texts in the group.

We'll use node js to look up all of the attributes of the current wizards, stitch them together, generate the spreadsheets, and then we'll put it up on the website.

Elf: Um, That sounds really difficult. I, you know, here, here's what, here's what I'm curious about. Like, once we distribute these, is there a possibility that someone is gonna say, Hey, this is not my wizard. Redo it.

Is that even possible?

Dotta: You know, we're gonna make sure that doesn't happen. If it does, it's always fixable,

Elf: but it shouldn't happen. Okay. Okay. Awesome, awesome. You heard it here first folks? Um, yeah. Cool. So let's go ahead and do some, a few member shout outs. Uh, first. Mm-hmm. [00:02:00] I would like to shout out a retired yield farmer.

He made wizard boxer shorts. I think he's the first person to put wizards on his underwear. Uh, so that was awesome. What

Dotta: was the tweet whiz? What is it like? Yield Farmer in the Streets. Wizard In the sheets? No,

Elf: it was, it was Muggle in the Streets. Wizard In the Sheets. Oh yeah. Perfect. I love it. Yeah. That was amazing.

Yeah. Yeah. I'm glad you brought that quote up cause that made the whole post. Yeah. Um, yeah. And then, uh, I wanna give a big thanks to Illusionist Color Man and Dr. Slurp for taking photos of our Miami murals. Those turned out amazing.

Dotta: Oh, so good. I need to update the website actually with the, with the photos that you guys took, cuz the photos you took are actually better than the ones we have up there on the website

Elf: already.

Yep. Yep. They're so good. And then, uh, I [00:03:00] wanna give a shout out to Pose producer. He made his Cobalt Wizard transform a banana or no. Transform an apple into a banana to feed a pet monkey. Really cute stuff. And then, um, we guys, we tried to get, uh, Reese Wither Witherspoon into our cult. Um, we called her eth Wizard Spoon.

Uh, that was Lochness idea. Um, apparently it didn't work. So we'll get there then. We have time. We just got our first wallet. Yeah. Yep. We'll get there. And then, um, uh, Mindo is working on a nice piece. Uh, he, he turned into a nice, rough sketch. Can't wait to see how that one turns out. Then, um, uh, lazy Fiddler b did a really cool piece with, uh, a psychic [00:04:00] rabbit throwing a tantrum.

Um, zero X cursor. Uh, put his, uh, let's see, what's the name of this witch? Oh, uh, which di or no, Hydra. Manzer Diana of the step. He put her in a swamp. What I really like about it is he bought her off of Keyboard Monkey. Um, I've been trying to buy some of keyboard monkeys, wizards as well. Um, and then, uh, why Sam The Viper did an awesome animation of an ember frog for oui juju.

Do eth We'll have more to talk about Wei

Dotta: juju later in the, uh, in the cult meeting.

Elf: Awesome. Yeah. Great. Yeah. Why Sam always does great animations. And then speaking of always great stuff, OSMA bro did an amazing piece of Yeah. Alchemist Bozi of the wood. It's beautiful. It's got this purple affinity to it.

It's just stunning. And, um, cloudy z finished, [00:05:00] finished their work. We, uh, that was for the Cloudy Z contest we had almost a month ago. It's finally finished. We distributed that piece. It's gorgeous. Uh, Magus Tomba Zla Souls Wizard did this amazing, I'm calling it a spirograph animation cuz it just reminds me of those spirographs.

Um, super cool Dodo. Do you remember the Spirographs? I love

Dotta: Spirographs, but mine would always break. We just had the plastic

Elf: ones. Yeah, yeah, same. And then, um, to top it all off, uh, bells to breathe. Um, just has this beautiful piece by, I, I guess it's bird president, um, of his wizard sleeping in a library.

What I like about this piece is the wizard is sleeping, but it looks like the rabbit is awake and like studying a map or something. Um, so. Oh, bells to breathe. How would you like to tell us about your wizard at this point? [00:06:00]

Hadrien: Would you like me to, is this the time for it? This is the

Elf: time. This is the time for it, yeah.

Hadrien: Okay. So, um, I think the best way to do this is for me to share the, um, the law that I've previously written and then kind of talk about the art piece and what I'm thinking about next. So, great. Invite everybody here to have a little look at the art piece and explore it, um, as I read through this,

Elf: so hopefully, yeah.

Are you able to share it in this, this spaces thing? I

Hadrien: believe somebody's already shared it at the top. Okay.

Elf: Yeah, it's, yeah, I tried to share it.

Dotta: Great,

Hadrien: great. So,

Elf: I've just gotta find this.[00:07:00]

Build the suspense. I like it.

Hadrien: Yeah. This is more of me just not having it pulled up right now. Anything

Elf: else do you need? Do you need some more time? Do you wanna

Hadrien: No, no. I'm about to find it. It's gonna, it's in the, yeah, I've got it. Great. Okay. So add page of the rock, solitary by nature, add page of the Rock is usually an elusive wizard.

Having never been interested in formal promotion beyond the title of an adept, he enjoys the luxury of being a student wherever he goes, traveling across the world by foot or hitchhiking in the back of a car and horse. Patron visits all the major and minor scholarly towns, reading and writing all the way.

He's also particularly fond of the world's most obscure and difficult find, forbidden and forgotten libraries. His [00:08:00] travels often bring about an interesting story or two, which he'll occasionally tell late around campfire when most have already dozed off to sleep. A true student of the arts is reading span across the magical alchemical, mythical and natural literature, making him an encyclopedic gentleman most interesting nature.

He's not easily sought, but is often around just when you need him, whether it's to identify the crushed herb at the bottom of your grandfather's ancient pipe through sight. The correct in implantation for beach House Mobile Wright. Also reverse your nephew's misspell that has made an unhear an angrily animated teapot.

Other paging always appears to be in the right place at the right time. Many years on the road have brought him to be accustomed to solo travel. However, for short spans of time, he does occasionally find himself helping one of his old friends for a week or two, consulting on matters such as Great B Egg retrieval, curse temple exploration, and [00:09:00] Expeditions that are destined for distant lands.

He'll often accompany the traveling party with his trusty companion. A white hair seemingly unnamed, he usually refer, refers to this hair as old chap mate or cheeky bastard. Lucky enough to speak many tongues he's streetwise as well as books. Mark Bar Rank the Thieves Market of the Alchemist Alo. He speaks in slang terms that command respect from the rogue and defected alchemists who are whom are often sh shunned by the more esteemed for their unsavory practices.

On another day he can be found tojo, enjoying the fine cuisine of a great old one's land palace. Exquisitely designed cliff caves. He can face the brun of some sp brutal storms and a SEL visited by most land dwellers. One thing Hari really can't do is stay in one place for very long, always on the move and never settled.

His friends can go for years without seeing him receiving only the occasional letter to let them know that he'll need some ingredients sent out for an experimental concoction off a [00:10:00] burning at an ancient ritual site, an eccentric wizard to say the least. Everybody loves Hari, but nobody really knows who he is to most.

He's that old eccentric wizard with the white hair who always has a book in hand as helpful and cheerful as he appears. One gets the sense he might also be lonely too, and it seems that he looks to avoid confrontation at all costs. The rumor is that when he was a young boy after one of his first phrases, the Forbidden Libraries of the seventh Realm, he brought back with him knowledge of a spell that killed his childhood's best friend in a manner that few dared to describe.

They say it was in a childhood fit of rage that any adult would be embarrassed of, and so that's why he spends his time alone and that's why he spends so much time learning the forgotten ways. Some say he's trying to bring his friend back to life. Others say he's searching for a way to destroy the gate to the seventh row.

Yet perhaps they're a wizard to a jealous of Hayden's ability to travel with such grace and absorbing knowledge that many are entirely unaware of. Add to that, the fact that conversation with Adrian [00:11:00] is rarely censored on him at all, if rarely centered on him, if at all, and it becomes hard to know what of the, what of those rumors might really be true.

Popping in and out of your life at the most serendipitous times, other Pedro of the Rock is a wizard. You don't ask about his past because what he brings to the present is a gift to all.

Elf: So good. Love it. Okay. So many things about that stood out to me, but I have one question. Did you say how old had Adrian is?

Uh,

Hadrien: no

Elf: I didn't. Do you have any, do you have any sense of how old he is or is that secret?

Hadrien: Um, I don't think anybody knows for sure. Okay. Um, but I would guess he could be north of 60.

Elf: Okay. Okay. Yeah. Okay. So, I, I love, first of all that his rabbit is named Cheeky Bastard, or at least that's his, one of his nicknames.[00:12:00]

Um, I love the whole library thing cuz I myself love libraries. I used to work in a library. Um, uh, I, I love the little detail about, um, identifying the herbs in the bottom of, I think you said your grandfather's pipe or something. That's so cool. Um, the, the whole childhood backstory is fascinating. Um, trying to destroy the gate to the seventh realm is super cool.

Uh, so many great details. He's, he's a really filled out character.

Hadrien: Thank you. Yeah. Um, yeah, he's, as I can only, thank you for making these wizards, to be honest.

Elf: Yeah. Yeah. No, I, yeah, I can't wait to see this his, all this written in the book of war. That's so good. I love it.

Hadrien: I was wondering if there's still time to take you through the, uh, the image at this point?

Elf: Oh, yeah, yeah, for

Hadrien: sure. So, yeah, this, this is an image that, um, [00:13:00] about three weeks ago I came across bird president's Instagram, and I liked a style, so I reached out. So I guess it was only a small prompt for this. I just said, um, I'd like Hagen to be asleep with a book, um, in one of like the libraries. Um, and then after that kind of worked out some details together.

Um, but in the end, uh, there's many details in here that I didn't ask for, and I think they're incredible. Um, yep. Yep. Like, uh, the ruins on the door that makes me think about, you know, whose ruins might they be, um, right. And why on this door. And then it might, you'll notice a large cannabis, uh, potion on the, uh, [00:14:00] on the bookshelf.

And then my favorite thing of all is the, uh, slightly larger book in the back with a rabbit's head on it. So, yeah. Yeah.

Elf: Yeah. All good stuff. It's, it's a, and I, I love the isometric format of it. I always love isometric art. It's just so much fun. Mm-hmm. Yeah. There's almost certain wizards you crave to hear more of.

Dude, this is definitely one of them. Yep. Yep.

Hadrien: Yeah. So I haven't really fleshed out much more for him, but at the moment, I'm, I think we might move in, um, Hopefully some more interesting directions. I like the idea that he's might have traveled quite extensively and so there might be some stories that I could share, um, from those travels.

Um, you know, if he's, if he has me around the campfire, who knows? And, um, yeah, the, uh, the rabbit being awake whilst he's asleep makes you think, [00:15:00] um, think about their relationship as well, which is cool.

Elf: Great. Yeah, I love that. Very cool.

Hadrien: I, um, I'm not sure if he's here, are you here bud? Present?

Elf: Sorry, what was

Hadrien: that? I was just wondering if Bird present was here. Um, cuz I'm not sure if she's open to more commissions at the moment or not, but I Oh yeah. Would like to, you know, I would feel privileged to plug over anything.

Elf: No, for sure. We should, we should probably even pay her to make some, some artwork.

Yeah.

Dotta: Yeah. Put us in touch with her and then, um, we also can get her on the commissions page if she wants.

Hadrien: Cool. Yeah. So that's me guys. I think I haven't really got much to share about other paging today. Um, I've got a few of the wizards that I probably will [00:16:00] have stories for in the future, and hopefully I can share then.

But, uh, until then, thank you very much.

Elf: Yeah, thank you. Thank you.

Dotta: There needs to be a way to do like applause on this app.

Elf: Yeah, yeah. Um, you know, this, this sort of reminds me of a, um, conversation I had a few weeks ago with, um, Tim Smith actually, who was in our chat or in our audience. I think he just left.

Um, If you guys don't know who Tim Smith is, he's the, uh, owner of Blood Company, um, who is a music manager. Skrill is one of his, um, biggest clients, but he's got a whole roster of awesome people. But anyway, um, I was chatting with him about how to like scale with integrity and so let me tell like a little backstory.

Um, I used to work at this [00:17:00] studio that only made YouTube videos. That was their whole model. They just made content for YouTube. It was, it was sort of a, one of a kind thing. It was the only studio in the industry that was doing this, or at least one of the very few. I was the animation director at this place.

We did these short little crappy animations, but they were so much fun to do because the whole place was ran by artists. There was really no douchey executives at the top making decisions. Like it was, it was bottom up. It was, it was run on pure creativity and, you know, we could like shoot a video, edit it, and upload it all in a day.

And so it was just, the whole place was just running on this passionate, artistic energy. And the place became so successful. Like we were churning millions of views a month, like tens of millions. Um, that after about two years of [00:18:00] this Disney Yes, that Disney, uh, bought this studio for like literally a billion dollars.

And as soon as they bought us, the whole place just changed and. The, the artistic passion was just almost immediately drained from this place. And so, on the one hand, it's tricky though because like with something like that, you want, you want to grow, you want to get bigger, you want to like bring in more people.

But it's just like whenever you scale the, the, the problem is how do you maintain artistic integrity when you scale? Um, and so I have firsthand experience with this, and this is one reason I always use Disney as an antithesis for what we do because cuz I experienced it firsthand. And so the problem occurs when a whole group of new people come into a different, come into an organization with different objectives.

And namely that objective is to [00:19:00] make money. Um, these new people generally know nothing of the original spirit of this place. Uh, they just, they come in and they start giving orders from top down and they just radically change the entire operation. And so as we scale as forgotten Rooms of Scales, it, it's making me wonder, is it possible to maintain the, the original spirit?

You know, as we make a video game and as we make a, an animated series and a comic and all the stuff that we wanna do and beyond, can we scale while maintaining the original spirit, the original artistic integrity? And I don't know the answer to this, but here's what I do know. I know that Forgotten Ruins has something that these other places do not have, and that's this decentralized approach to content building.

This is a brand new thing that I don't think anybody has ever done. And so we're gonna have the book of lore, which, from which we [00:20:00] will be able to pull, pull all these stories that you guys write to put into our content. Um, we have a large community of wizard holders who actually own and care about the wizards and the characters that will be portrayed in this content.

And so the execs at Disney, they don't really give a shit about who likes Luke Skywalker is. They just want him on the lunchbox and on the video game and on the t-shirt. They just wanna make money with him. Um, but I know that Zla Soul cares about maga. Tom Bian has his wizards. I know that, oh, cares about the wizards.

He just talked about. I know that Matsui cares about Maga, Devin of the quantum downs. I know that all of you care so much about your characters. And so I think, and this is, this is my great hope. I, I hope that we can scale because of our decentralized structure with passion and with [00:21:00] integrity. And that's my goal with this whole project.

So let's see how it goes. Is this a good time to say, I am my wizard. And my wizard is me. Exactly. That's exactly right. Yes, precisely.

Bearsnake: Um, I just wanted to jump in real fast, um, to second that I think having, having worked with, um, having worked with these guys, uh, in the past, I think there's such an opportunity.

I mean, just already what's going on, most of the people that are helping us scale today are already wizard holders. Almost everybody who's contributing is a part of the community. And I've, I've spent a lot of time building IP and building businesses and entertainment media, and I've never seen anything like this.

And it, it, it's also coming in at a level that I don't think we could even find [00:22:00] if we went to go try to hire anyone because there's, there's just not the same passion. So I, I just think I've, I've, I just, I've really have never seen anything, and I think there's, there's so much potential here.

Elf: I love

Dotta: it.

And so I can talk a little bit to some of the things that we've been, uh, doing for this, uh, decentralized content creation, if you're ready. So, um, there's two areas that I think that are really special that are kind of growing up. One, both from the art side and one both from the code side. Um, so on the code side, well let, no, let's talk about the art side.

It's a better transition. So on the art side, um, I don't know if you've seen, but we've seen a lot of wizards creating pixel art from, uh, that derives from. Like they're being able to create like new items for their pixel alert. So why Sam in particular, he's created a bag of popcorn, which we can use. He's created, I think, lightsabers and [00:23:00] lanterns and, you know, a slice of pizza.

And I, we really, really love this idea. Um, and so I want to put that together in a way that like anyone can create, um, wizard props or, uh, and so what we're calling it is the Wizard workshop. So this week we put together, um, a contract which I've already deployed to main net that allows for any wizard holder to mint a wizard prop.

Now we don't have the UI for it yet. Um, one of our community wizards, mm, he hasn't fully told me. I can mention him publicly, but you know, you know him has started sketching out some of the ui. And the vision here is that basically,

Elf: you know, We'll talk about

Dotta: wizard items and doing sort of drops in the game and all these things of like, let's call them official items that maybe officially will have functionality in the game.

We'll talk about that. But I still think like the Good Morning generator, for example, the slice of pizza, the popcorn, there's so many super fun things that we can do [00:24:00] in like a semi-official way that's like Wizard, I'm calling it like Wgc Wizard generated content. Um, and so that contract is live. We haven't minted any of the first props yet, but we'll try to do that in the NE before the next Wizard Wednesday.

And the idea is it's gonna be a tool where anybody can come. You can pick a wizard and say like, okay, you know, remove the pipe or whatever, and then add, draw your own pixel art and then click mint. And then whoever creates that, um, like wizard prop, you g you get those tokens yourself. They're e r c 1 55 s.

You get those tokens, you can airdrop them to other wizards. You can sell them on opens sea, you can sell them privately. So, um, that's one way that we hope, you know, it makes it really, really easy. Right. I feel like we saw last week that loot was so fun in that it showed, like what happened with loot was.

Dom wrote the contracts in such a way that any programmer, any like really basic programmer was able to, um, [00:25:00] create a new contract and create a loot derivative. And then all these interesting dynamics emerged from that. But that said, you still have to be a programmer to create a loo derivative. And if, if loot is sort of the, like, programmers, text-based, like collaborative, um, community, our vision for Wizard workshop is, it's like, you don't even have to be a programmer.

You can just be a pixel editor and you can MIT your own tokens and they'll all be sort of the same collection from a contract deployed by us, um, that we can like share within our community. So we'll probably do some funding of that. I'll write some docs. Um, we'll even pay for some of the gas in the beginning.

Uh, but I'm like so excited to get this up. I mean, it'll still be a couple of weeks before we have dui, but it's, it's just another example of how we're, there's like an openness in terms of um, what you can do with wizards and the ways that we can like, uh, bring them into the world.

Elf: Yeah, super exciting. I've, I've seen why Sam draw a bunch of props already. They're so cool.

Dotta: Yeah, they're really fun.[00:26:00]

Elf: Um, yeah. Okay. I just wanna, anybody have any questions, comments, um, just raise, just request to speak.

Hadrien: I do think, um, lf that, uh, the presences on the way so when she's hit it, maybe, um, could ask her a question.

Elf: Great. Yeah. If, yeah, just yeah. When she gets here, um, just have her press the request button. We'll, we'll bring her up.

Cool.

Dotta: Cool. I can also talk about the, um, on chain attributes and some of the work Meli has been doing, but you know, why don't you talk about something else first and then we'll come back to Cook

Elf: Dota and Bear Snake. You guys saw it. I think you guys love it, right? I love

Dotta: it. Yeah, I think it's even, I don't know if we can talk about the amount, but the amount for this trailer will cost somewhere between like, um, well's.

The only reason I shouldn't say it's between 100 and [00:27:00] 200,000, like maybe upwards of 200,000. Um, so one of the things that, you know, we're, we're like planning ways to fund it. One of the things we've even thought about is selling NFTs as frames. This is just in the like, workshop. Um, but if you guys are interested in that, I'd be curious to kind of hear people's feedback of like, would you be interested in doing some sort of auction for frames from this kind of, you know, there's a lot of characters available.

Um, maybe there's a way that we help fund it that way, you know, I mean, but regardless, regardless of how it's coming, we're like pretty committed to making it happen. And so I'm so excited just to see it. It's, I'm like really, really excited reading the script.

Bearsnake: Yeah, the script is incredible and, and the shout outs.

It, it, it's, I think what's great about it is it's so true to the community and the ethos of, of what everybody on this call and the larger community have contributed while still painting this huge picture, um, of, [00:28:00] of everything that we know this world is going to be. And, and the level of quality is just, I mean, the level of quality from the studio and from the artist involved is just going to be a plus, plus plus.

Um, and we're already starting to have conversations around, you know, having it be a full fledged series. So it's, uh, I think there's, there's so much potential there. We have assembled a great team and, and I think something that we talk about all the time, Elvin Dota, is, you know, the, the N F T community, there's this like cadence or frequency to how these projects release things and.

And so while it might seem that maybe we struggle to be putting something out new every single week, I think, and, and, and we understand like it's important to be to, to be, to be as active as possible, but a lot of the things that we want to do, we just want to do really well. And we want, like, when we drop a trailer, it's not like, oh, that's cool, this little guy's moving a little [00:29:00] bit.

Like, we want to drop a trailer. And it literally melts people's faces. When we do a game, we want to do a game that will last and actually be a game that people wanna play. It's not like a two minute game. It's not this little thing. And so, you know, it's something that honestly we, we just struggle with because when you engage with partners that, you know, um, with partners that believe and want to execute at a certain level, it just takes a little bit of time.

But it is something that, it's kind of funny. We, we, we struggle because it, it just takes a lot longer. Um, To, to deliver that kind of stuff. And, and so we're constantly trying to balance making sure that we're doing things that make you guys excited in the near term, while also sort of plotting these really fantastic, uh, sort of presence and, um, expressions down the line.

Yep. And actually that's something I'd love to hear from you guys. Like, you know, I think last week or earlier this week, there was a chain going on in [00:30:00] Discord about how, you know, what more can can we be doing to get it out there? And just know that it's a struggle, but would love to hear from you guys about, you know, do you think that we're delivering enough to you guys?

How do you feel about us taking our time a little bit more on these projects and delivering things that are way above board? Um, I think that's, that's important for us to, to know from you guys.

Hadrien: I think for me personally, um, I like to take my time with things and. Um, I appreciate when others like to put time into, so I don't, I don't see it as an issue, um, in the short term.

I mean, there's, I think there's a, there's a speed at which the crypto space moves at, um, which, you know, can't even be so quick as disorienting sometimes. Like you can miss trends and things, things move really quite quickly. Um, [00:31:00] so yeah, I think it's, uh, it's about balancing those two ways of, uh, thinking about long term and short term.

Elf: Like how, how do you like take your time as an artist while catching exponential growth curves? Yeah, that's

Bearsnake: like really tricky. It's so hard. It's so hard. And we, and, and, and we see these trends. We see these trends come and then they go and. You really have to balance what, what do you try to take advantage of in the moment?

Um, but we also don't wanna get caught up in things that are gonna be really just not that meaningful, um, and, and have value in the long term. And, and so, you know, it's just the cross that we bear here.

Hadrien: Not all trends. Last guess. So you, you're kind of aiming for things that last a bit more maybe. I, I believe Bird is, uh, bird president's now here.

Um, do you know how to raise your hand?

Elf: Uh, sorry, Edward, you just came to

Dotta: the stage. Hey, Edward. Hello. Sorry, I

Elf: don't [00:32:00] know if I am, um, if I missed things. My, my internet connection's a little bit spotty here, but I just wanted to sort of chime in on, um, taking your time versus, you know, putting things out there.

Um, uh, I think that what, like the pace that y'all are, are, are setting is really nice. Um, mostly to, um, speak to like the disorienting nature of the speed at which, um, the community can move at some points. Like, I think it is nice, like one of the things that I've really like resonated with the Wizards community is sort of the haven that the Discord feels like.

Um, and, you know, things that, like the content that Lockness Monster is putting out is like so nice in the short term to say like, Hey look, we're doing these cool things and here's like an example. And then like the community is obviously producing like amazing art. Um, but then like, I remember like looking at the storyboard and thinking like, oh my [00:33:00] God, this is incredible.

You know, like, I want that sort of detail to be put into this, this release because like, you know, I don't think that the wizards is just trying to catch a moment and then move on. And that's what like the speed aspect sort of catches to me. Like when I, when I see all these projects like, oh, we're doing this, this, this, and this, you know, and then they hit those benchmarks in like a month and then they've got nothing, you know, and I don't, I don't feel that from this project.

So I think that taking your time is totally acceptable. And I also think that the people who are in this project right now, uh, accept and, uh, you know, sort of look for that from this project. Great. Yeah, I really appreciate you guys saying that. Speaking of storyboards, we've got another one that's being worked on right now that's just totally disconnected from the trailer.

It's, it's a, it's another just standalone story. Um, and then, you know, I, I also want to throw this in there about, about the [00:34:00] trailer and, and just these other media expressions in general. So, I personally bought a few wizards last week just from my own personal collection. A lot of you seem to notice that.

I just want you to know I am not buying these wizards because I am gonna put them in the trailer. I would never do something like that. I'm not gonna put any of my own wizards in any of this stuff as like an attempt to pump them or anything. Um, the way I choose wizards for these other media expressions is honestly pretty random.

I literally just scroll through the collection, or actually what I do first is I like write in what kind of wizard I need for a specific scene, and then I scrolled through the collection. I'm not looking at who owns it, and I'm just like, okay, that wizard looks like it fits, and I put 'em in the script.

So yeah, I'm, I'm not gonna like put my own wizards in these things to like, Pump them or whatever. Um, you have my word on that. Um, you know, [00:35:00] you know. And then just furthermore, like, like if I buy like a mushroom wizard, it doesn't mean like we have some like big mushroom wizard feature that we're getting ready to build out.

So, you know, don't, don't like take my buying habits as like an indication of something in the future. Yeah. Um, cool. Uh, cool. So how about, um, or Doda? Sorry, do you wanna say something? Uh,

Dotta: so I can talk a little bit more about, um, this idea of integrations. I talked about integrations from the community, from the pixels and art side.

I could talk a little bit more about integrations from the community on the code side and some of the things our community has been building there. Great. Yep.

Elf: So,

Dotta: so one of the things that we talk about, I still need to write a blog post. I know I've been saying this since like July, is that the forgotten rooms, oh my, are stored completely on chain.

Um, [00:36:00] there's a lot of like, question about this. People will pop in and be like, I don't understand. How does it work? We'll write it up. And this is true. The, the forgotten rooms, wizards, the pixels, the names, the traits, all of it is stored within transaction data on Ethereum. Why is that important? So as long as the Ethereum, uh, blockchain exists, you are able to recreate your wizard.

Um, even if everyone else forgets about it. If Ethereum exists, your wizard exists. But here's the problem. There's actually a shortcoming with our method. One of the things, again, let's talk about loot cuz they're the project of the week. One of the great things about loot is you can actually look up. On chain for a given loot holder.

Like what do they have for the, you know, for their back? Like what robes do they have? You can read that with another smart contract. And so we call this as programs. We call this idea composability. You hear this term a defi a lot, um, are like certain coins composable with other parts of the system. Um, loot is composable with [00:37:00] a people building on chain games.

Um, and, but the wizards as it exists today, unfortunately the way that we stored it, um, they're not composable with other smart contracts. Another smart contract can't say, oh, you're Wizard 76, you have a golden snake familiar. Um, so that hasn't been possible until now, um, or until soon. So, uh, Methodist, he has put together, um, a set of contracts that will allow us to have that composability.

Um, and so what will happen is you'll be able to register your, um, you'll be able to register your wizard and it'll store its traits on chain. And so, um, the gas cost for this, we've got it down pretty, pretty low. I think it will be below $20 of gas once, you know, well, I mean, not at like crazy N F T drop rates like the last couple days, but once it sort of evens out, the gas is fairly low per wizard.

Um, and the idea is that you'll be able to [00:38:00] do that to play. To do what is really the obvious question, why would I bother to do this? Well, we actually have two separate groups. Both Methodist, um, and Weu are both working on different variations of, um, sorts of games that one could play, um, with wizards that use your traits.

So Metha has, um, his, uh, wizard, which are fairly early, and, um, we do is working on a game called Burning Ponds. One of the things that you'll notice is that his avatar is the ember frog. And, um, in, uh, the lore that we do has the, the ember frogs live in the burning ponds. And, uh, this game is built for wizards to go on quests, earn rewards, uh, and uh, they will use these on chain traits.

Now, uh, I'm so excited about it. These would be on chain games we've talked about doing, um, like the Forgotten Roots, metaverse. There's interesting things to talk about there. These are separate from that, but these are games that you would be able to [00:39:00] play and ways that, um, Create integration points for wizards at their like, deepest level to, to, to work with other smart contracts.

And so I'm just so excited about that. If you are, um, a developer designer, they could both use help on like the front end. They could use help. If you wanna learn to do solidity deploy contracts, they could use help there too. But I'm just really excited to see where those goes. The, uh, the, the, the, the contracts are just so beautiful and interesting.

I was geeking out of them earlier this week and so, um, we'll have more to share once those are like, ready to be used.

Elf: That's awesome. I can't wait to play Burning frogs. Burning ponds. Burning ponds, yeah.

Hadrien: Awesome. Is now a good time for me to ask a question of her present? Sure. Yep. Yeah. Are you, are you, uh, can you speak bird present at the moment?

Elf: Uh, yeah. Are you able to hear me? Sorry, this is my first time

Dotta: [00:40:00] doing this.

Elf: Yep. Yes. Hello. Welcome. So great to talk to you. Welcome.

Hadrien: Hi. Yeah, so I, I was wondering if you, um, if you could speak a little bit about, um, what the process was like for you, Anna. Um, I don't know, maybe, are you opening for other commissions at the moment, or is, do you have time for that, basically?

Elf: Oh, um, yeah, I am definitely open to more commissions. Um, but honestly your, your commission in particular, I don't know what it was, but I, I looked at your character and I was like, this has to be something really, really fucking cool. Um, and it's probably one of the most complex commissions that I've done.

Uh, but I, I, I want to make those little, like. The, it's just like this environment that, uh, tells such a, like a nice story and just like, it's like a, like a little space and I love it. [00:41:00]

Hadrien: Yeah, I love it too.

Elf: Thank you. Yeah. We, yeah, we love it so much. Um, yeah, and, and you're right, like the environment tells such a strong story.

The, the sleeping wizard and the rabbit that's awake tells a story. Um, actually, can you tell us what this rabbit is looking at and why, why he's awake and the wizard is sleep? So, um, in, in the story that, um, was relayed to me and what I took, um, as an artistic endeavor, I wanted the, the wizard to be sleeping on his book and the rabbit to have been looking at a treasure map while that he is sleeping.

So doing some like late night, uh, work while he sleeps.

Very cool. I love it. Yep. Yeah, so we would, we would love to [00:42:00] commission some more for you from you. Um, uh, you know, if, if some wizards want to go directly to you to commission, that's great. Um, but we would also like to commission some from you for a contest. Yeah, of course. Um, just anything, just DM me, Twitter, Instagram, uh, discord I'm at for president.

Uh, 66. 66. You can just find me anywhere. And I look at all of, uh, my social media, so I'll know it if I see it. Perfect. Excellent. So good to hear. Yeah. Thank you so much. No problem.

Bearsnake: I'm gonna reach out. I think I need to have one personally. I think I need to do it.

Elf: Yes. Bear Snake. Yes.

Cool. Uh, okay, we have like 15 minutes left and last Wizard Wednesday. I promised that I would deliver some lore about the magic system. So unless Bear Snake dotter, [00:43:00] you have anything else to add? Maybe I'll dive into that. I'm excited. Cool. Great. Okay, so first, um, I want to emphasize, um, okay, so last week I talked about the different political factions and what each hat represented.

Here's what I wanna emphasize though. This does not mean that your wizard, if they have this, that color of hat, it does not mean they have to adhere to that brand of politics. Um, you know, I I, I sort of relate it to a red hat or a blue hat in I r l. It doesn't necessarily mean I'm a Republican or a Democrat.

You know, some hat colors can just be straight up colors. Um, furthermore, Uh, we might, and I haven't even ran this by Dota, but we might have some feature in the future where you can change your hat color. Um, you know, also by all means, feel free to just go into Photoshop and change the color of your hat if you want, or you can ask [00:44:00] somebody in Discord to do it.

Uh, and then you will eventually write that sort of lore into the book of lore about why they changed their hat color. So, you know, what, what I, when, whenever I talk about the overall lore, it's just like, it's just generalized lore that governs the world, but it does not necessarily apply to each individual wizard.

Um, so yeah, so today I want to just briefly go over the magic system and how magic works in this world. So, um, let me tell you what it, what it's not. Okay. It's not like in Harry Potter where every wizard just goes to school and they can learn pretty much any spell they want. That's not the way Magic works here.

Uh, it's also not like in Lord of the Rings where Wizard Magic is very subtle and hardly ever seen. Um, if I was gonna compare this to another universe, I would say it's [00:45:00] either sort of like X-Men, where every X-men has like a set of powers that they're sort of born with. They don't, they don't necessarily learn other powers.

Um, another good comparison I like to make is Naruto. If any of you are anime fans, um, every ninja in Naruto sort of has like a specialty of Ninjitsu that they learn and they can sort of expand on that specialty, but they don't really go outside of that specialty unless they're like some super like elite.

Ninja that can do that. Um, so that's, that's sort of like the comparisons. Um, basically, uh, let's see. So every, every wizard in the collection, they, okay, so many of 'em actually come with a spell. Um, so the pirate maner has like a fire spell. So basically this means like if you have a pyro, maner, all of your magic is generally gonna be in the fiery [00:46:00] territory.

Um, you know, same with Hymans, or if you have a death spell, you're going to be a master of like death magic. Um, now some of the wizards have items, what does that mean? So I think what that means is your wizard can sort of work their magic through this item. Um, there's a lot of creativity that can be. Uh, had here, you can sort of create your lore around like, what, what does a wizard do with a golden goblet or a vial of blood or a Venus fly trap?

Um, that's sort of how their magic is guided. And then some wizards, of course, have, uh, staffs, um, that's even maybe more broad. Your wizard can use almost any kind of magic through that staff. Um, and then of course, some wizards have no spell or item at all. A room can be either a source of power or it can impose a limitation.

Um, so that means [00:47:00] like if you have a, uh, pyro, but they maybe have like a water roon, what does that mean? Does that mean like they are defensive against water and they're offensive with fire or vice versa? It's up to you to sort of decide what that is. Maybe it's some sort of fire water magic hybrid. How weird is that?

Um, so yeah, the, the ruins that just sort of flavor the magic and they can either be a source of power or a limitation. Now, on top of all that, every wizard in the world, there's various degrees of talent. Not all the wizards have totally mastered the magic. Some of them are absolute geniuses and can maybe even do spells outside of their specialty.

And some wizards are quite amateur. But here's the one thing that seems to be constant. The more powerful the wizard, the more disconnected from reality they become. [00:48:00] So magic comes at a cost. Uh, magic can often drive many of its users insane. And so this is sort of an internal battle that every wizard must contend with.

How far should they pursue the arcane arts? And at what cost, because it seems that the farther they go on their magical path, the more their humanity is sacrificed. So keep that in mind when you're trying to r make your wizard all powerful. It it comes at a cost. Like I know everybody wants to like, make their wizard like the most powerful wizard in the land, but you know, I, I gotta say there, there's, there's, there's risk in doing that.

Um, not everybody can be powerful, you know, and, and like, you know, think of it in terms like Gandolph, like he is an extremely powerful wizard, but he rarely shows it, um, because he's kept his humanity intact. Whereas Saman, for example, is extremely powerful, but he [00:49:00] let himself go and it's corrupted him. So, you know, I, I think when you construct your wizard biographies with that in mind, you're, you're gonna get a more well-rounded, interesting character.

And, um, that's all I'll say about the magic today. There's, there's definitely way more to it. Um, you know, there's a lot of sources of magic on the map, the quantum shadow, the infinity veil. Um, you know, all of these things influence magic and, you know, and also, like I said last week, the, the different hat colors, these wizards all approach magic in different ways.

The, the white wizards hide their, their power level. The blue wizards, um, actually think technology is more powerful. The green wizards are focused on just nature magic. Um, so the, you know, these are other things that influence magic. Uh, Duda, what do you think?

Dotta: I want you to use my wizards in the show.[00:50:00]

Elf: You know, I don't, I don't know what kind of magic the, the Muppet Dota Wizard has. I really don't.

Dotta: Whatever it is, I'm scared. Yeah, totally. She just sing. She's a really good singer.

Elf: Yeah, that's true. That's true. And he, and he is got the World Egg, which is actually quite a rare item. So, um, I had a quick question.

Did the heads each head, like race or class have like an agenda of their own? Um, yeah. I mean, you know, like I always say, each individual wizard is unique and they don't necessarily have to ascribe to their race or their politics or their hat color or whatever. Um, that said, you know, there probably will be some law written about like, Who are the imps, [00:51:00] who are the darkling, who are, um, the, the, uh, wolf kins.

Um, but you know, you know, as I always say, ev even if, even if I write like some lore about the wolf kins and your, your wolf kin doesn't wanna abide by that, then that's totally fine.

We've got a few minutes, we've got, yeah, we've got five minutes. Does anybody have any questions, comments? Bear snake, you wanna say something?

Bearsnake: Oh, yeah, I just wanted to just give a quick update on some, some just cool partnership stuff that we have going, if that's okay. Please. Yeah, go. Uh, okay, cool. First the, like, one of the most exciting things I think we have going, we've talked about a game, uh, in a pretty vague sense.

We've talked about like talking to a couple developers. We are like, we've basically agreed, um, to terms, uh, with a game developer and I'm like, I have like goosebumps on my arms just thinking about it right now. Um, [00:52:00] we are going to have a super kick ass game with a developer that is going to deliver, um, an experience that I think everybody is going to be blown away with.

Um, and it, it's going to roll out over the next six months. Um, we're gonna announce the partnership pretty soon and um, so that'll be good so you guys will know who it is and, um, sort of understand why we're so excited. Um, so that is like, The inks almost done on that and, and, and we're like, they already have, uh, a, a couple devs working on it.

So we're just, that is like, I don't want to talk about too many details, but it, it's really exciting and I think it's going to be a fantastic home for not only our wizard holders, but the broader gaming community. So that is like, I think that is just so awesome. Um, I think I already talked about the animation partner, [00:53:00] but that is, that is completely on track.

We already submitted scripts that's going, um, I know, I think I mentioned last week about this merch drop. So, um, we today are going to release, um, well first of all, the merch is going to be, um, not to like hype ourselves up, but we're, we're really excited about the designs. We're, we're only gonna do one run of all these designs.

Um, and never again. So excited about that. It's going to have a bunch of items. It's not just like, Hey, we're doing a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. It's gonna have a bunch of cool, uh, items in there that are gonna be pretty unique. And, um, we're gonna put out a form today, uh, probably an hour or two after, uh, this wizard Wednesday, just to get a sense, cuz we don't want to make a ton of them cuz we really want to do, keep it limited and special.

But we also don't wanna like, leave anybody out who really wants one. Um, we're still, we will [00:54:00] probably roll out, um, a presale in the next couple weeks. Um, but just keep your eyes open for that because if you want one, please sign up. It will give us an indication of sort of the scale on the manufacturing side.

Um, and, uh, I know I'm gonna order more than one just cuz I'm, I need to, need to have everybody that I know have one could be rocking, uh, wizard wear. But, um, so that's happening. So I think it'll be nice to put some physical items, uh, in people's hands. And, and it's definitely going to be an experience.

It's, we want people to be, we'll talk more about it as we get closer, but, um, we want it to be like an unboxing experience. We want people to film opening it. We want people to take pictures of it. Um, and I think, and I think it's gonna be worthy of, of all that. Um, and then lastly, I know we ran a, uh, we ran, um, not a competition, but sort of a, a raffle, uh, around the, the glass piece.

[00:55:00] Um, we got a video of the finalized glass piece. I think it's getting shipped out tomorrow or the next day. Um, and it is so cool. Um, it's really, it's really amazing to see these wizards, um, in all forms. And I just, I haven't seen anyone make an N F T outta glass. And, uh, I think. SNCC really delivered on. So excited to you guys will see that we'll post about it.

Um, and, and I think, I think those are just sort of the main updates. So just throwing that stuff

Elf: out there. Hey Bear, can I ask you a question? Um, of course you said that they're gonna be limited runs, but, um, well, I guess I have two questions. Will it be limited, you know, I know you said there's gonna be a form, but are we gonna have to like, rush to the store and try and buy?

Um, would be one question and then two, can we purchase this through both, you know, fiat and eth or is it just going to be like credit card only sort of deal? What are

Dotta: you [00:56:00] thinking?

Bearsnake: Yeah, working backwards. Definitely going to be able to purchase through eth There's some, her, there's some things that we're working through, but Doda correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's, that's, that's the, that's the, that's

Dotta: the goal here.

The goal here is eth Yeah. To, to have eth and maybe even not fiat, but maybe Fiat. Cuz I think. We're trying to use some off the shelf tools for this, cuz it's, we're not gonna like do an N F T in the middle. Like we've looked at some of the other projects that do that and like, what, what happens is, like the N F T becomes like a speculation vehicle sometimes, and like, maybe that makes sense for some fun things.

But for this, we really just want like, people to be wearing wizard hats and for them to be special and like in your home and not be flipping like a $15,000 like N F T that you could burn for socks. You know, just like, let's just do this straight. Yeah. I mean,

Elf: I, I asked only because I'm a little eastport right now and I would like to own most of Oh, you'd rather do all of this?

Well, only, yeah. Well that's, that's why yeah, I asked because like, you [00:57:00] know, sure. Uh, I want this, but I, like, I don't, you know, uh, going through the, the either process of buying more eth or, you know, selling something for it is,

Dotta: oh, that's great.

Elf: So, yeah. That's

Dotta: helpful. Let me take a poll. I'll take a poll in the secret tower.

Uh, right after this and like, I'll try to provide both options cuz that makes sense, right? It's like when ETH is up, maybe you want to use your eth cuz you're like eateth rich. And then like when ETH drops, whatever it, whatever annoying amount it just dropped, then it's like easier to just pay cash.

Elf: Cool.

Dotta: Um, and then in terms, oh, I was gonna say, and in terms of rush, I mean I think the plan is we don't, like, we're not planning about tweeting about it. We want it to be like within the cult kind of like, um, our, like, on order of what we're thinking of running is like around 200, um, maybe, maybe 300 or a little more.

Like if we get some sort of like overwhelming like, like everybody in the discord and all of a [00:58:00] sudden there's a thousand. Okay. We're probably gonna have to turn that back. Like, we probably won't do run a thousand. We'll probably run on order between like two to maybe 500 or 400 be the max. Um, so we'll try not to like, Invent some like gas rush.

Really the idea that we're trying for is like, if you're interested, fill out the form and put in your address in that form so that way we have like a white list and a headcount and we know like what country you live in and like, you know, we want to try to make it like fun for everyone and not like something drama.

Bearsnake: Do you? Yeah, it shouldn't be a drama. I will say that like we, we, uh, we don't want it to, we also don't want it to be like super open-ended. Right. I think there'll probably be like, some kind of like 12 hour window where like we're just like, this is, this is your chance to get it. And um, you know, cuz there's just a lot of things that, like if it's open-ended, I think it just makes it harder for us.

We just kind of want to be out there, I would say 12, maybe 24 hour window to order it and [00:59:00] then, and then it will shut down and it'll sort of be over four

Dotta: hours. Yeah. But we'll give you lead time. It's not like we're gonna tell you tomorrow morning you have 24 hours and if you didn't check the chat, you missed it.

Right. Like, I mean, great. You'll, you'll have to check the chat eventually, but like, we'll give a lead time. Yeah, I mean, I have like every

Elf: announcement's, um, message in the Twitter or in the Discord. Uh, it pings me so should or, and like every, you know, here or everyone message pings me. So like that should be great, you know?

Uh, I'm que a question I guess is that should be fine. Yeah,

Dotta: yeah.

Bearsnake: Yep. That should be fine. Well, the good news is it sounds like we have one order. You have one order

Dotta: for sure. Confirmed.

Bearsnake: So you're saying we have a chance.

Elf: That's great. Um, okay. It is three after, however, I think we have one very important explanation required from Dota. Before we go and Dota, you need to tell us where, [01:00:00] which Lilith is. Oh, Lilith.

Dotta: Okay. So

Bearsnake: what did you do, Dota? I know.

Dotta: So Lilith has gone on a journey, so, uh, so, so. We were gonna give Lochness, uh, her wizard, which she's using as her profile.

And I was just like, okay, can you gimme your address? And she was like, yeah, here it is. And I was like, just like, just checking. This isn't a Coinbase address, right? Like, this is your meta mask. She's like, yeah, your my old address was, you know, Coinbase, but this is my meta mask. And so I was like, okay, great.

And so she's like, yeah, be sure to send it to this, my meta mask, right? And I, being a dummy, copied and pasted her Coinbase address, and that is where I sent, uh, poor Lilith. So Lilith has gone to the coin downs and we are just gonna have to wait for, uh, you know, that they, the Coinbase still has those keys.

And so, um, you know, when Mike Damaris [01:01:00] gets SoldierBoy dot eth, uh, then we will finally get Lilith back into our community. But for now, That's where she, that's where she rests. But Lochness can still use as a profile cuz it, she doesn't belong to anyone else, but

Elf: I'll be a wealthy man if they hand any keys out to anybody.

Okay.

Dotta: Okay. Good. I'm glad to hear that. So we'll all be hoping for the same thing.

All right. I can't wait to, I can't wait for the, for the animated episode of that.

Elf: Yeah. Right. Yeah, exactly.

Dotta: Um, can I say something real quick? Yep.

Elf: Yeah. I just wanted, I just wanted to thank you guys, uh, for having me. I really appreciate it. Yeah, thank you. Absolutely. We're happy. Absolutely. Thank you. Yeah. We hope see more of you.

Yeah. Um, Lochness, did you wanna tell us anything about which Lilith, what, what she's doing in her journeys right now? She is [01:02:00] in the quantum downs as mags Devon has put it. Um, I just wanted to put on the record that I shed a tear mm-hmm. When I tried to go looking for her. Oh no. Hey, she, she's got a candle to guide her in a, in a very intelligent fox.

So I think she'll be all right. Yeah. She's out there being just as mis Shevia says the fox. So, yeah. Yeah. Exactly. More on that lore later. There you go.

Uh, we do, we do. You just came up. Do you have anything to say? Hello, guys? Yeah, sorry. Uh, just too many community calls happening at the same time, guys. I missed everything. Uh, did you guys discuss the on chain storage of trades and affinities

Dotta: already? We did. Let's focus, we'll talk again, bit, bit about that this week.

I'd love to have you come up next week and we'll talk about it. Awesome. I think we're outta time for [01:03:00] today. No, no. Great. Anyhow,

Elf: just shout out to everyone here. You guys are awesome. All right. And really nice. Thank you. What's it called? The all rounds of the wizard. I

Dotta: dunno what. Yeah, we'll drop those out this week.

Insane.

Elf: Great. Thank you. Okay guys, uh, thank you so much. This has been Elf and

Dotta: Joda and Bear Snake,

Elf: bear Snake and Bear Snake and Lochness and o in the whole cult channeling out from the quantum downs. Goodnight everybody. We'll see you

Dotta: Goodnight everybody.
