In the southwest region of The Wild rests a calm and friendly forest known as Hedge Wizard Wood. These woodlands are excellent training grounds for student Wizards and beginners in the Arcane Arts. The trees contain hints of Magic that seep down from The Fey, and the few Fairy Folk who venture here are more agreeable than their northern brethren. Gnomes, in particular, are prevalent in the region, as are occasional traveling Fungi. The Wood is boundless with plants and animals, all who are unusually friendly. Even the bears and wolves seem more inclined to give a smile or nod to lone travelers and do not consider them prey. In deeper parts of the wood, it is said that some animals have gained a human-like sentience with the ability for speech.
