The Veld

A vast savannah boasting an extraordinary array of wildlife large and small. The fauna of the region is so robust that humanity is quite unable to tame these lands, and only come here to marvel at nature's splendor. A wild form of animalistic Magic thrives here, often too raw and incomprehensible for most Wizards to wield. Green Hats leave their forests to study here often, for the wildlife here commands an awesome strength rivaling the trees themselves. For indeed, many of the beasts are massive—megafauna not found anywhere else in the world.

The only trees in the Veld (and the only flora that can withstand the megafauna) are, of course, the Baobabs.
