Lore
Creatures made of snow that are able to change their own shape to imitate the appearance of other creatures. They're capable of mimicking a limited range of sounds and rely on deceiving their prey during snowstorms into drawing near snow puts they've created. They are incapable of changing their long orange noses, though can be clever enough to disguise them as tails or horns instead. Those lost in the north are warned to be cautious if they encounter another human calling for help, as it may be an Abominable Snowmimic tricking them into their demise.
