"Donuts" refer to the Forgotten Runes "Points" system of 2024. There is a speculated connection between Donuts and the $XP token, though the connection—if any—is unknown.

Lore

Donuts have deep-seated lore in the Cult, starting even before the original mint of 10k Wizard NFTs. Someone asked, “What do I have to do for Wizards allowlist?” Elf J Trul responded:

“Sacrifice your soul to a jelly donut.”

Undesirables

Donuts have been referenced at many points in the Cult's history, notably as a potential “Undesirable” outcome from burning a Wizard with a Sacred Flame. These Donuts Souls exist as character NFTs in the Runiverse—complete with animated walk cycles, 3D models, and the ability to record lore, , etc. as other characters—and will be playable characters in the Forgotten Runiverse MMORPG.

Summoning Shadows

Donuts were also featured as part of the Shadows Ordinals mint, where people submitted videos of themselves “sacrificing their soul to a jelly donut” for a chance at an allowlist spot.

Magic Machine set up a structure for distributing Donuts in "Seasons."

Season 1 (Aug-Dec 2024)

Allocations For Quests

Donuts Season 1 saw players completing Quests—both in the Runiverse game and on social media—to earn as many Donuts as possible.

The Donuts website acted as the main hub for all activity. Users simply created an account to start completing Quests, which included social engagements; daily clickers; mini-games; and achieving complex, in-game milestones in the Forgotten Runiverse MMO. Donuts were rewards to everyone who completed Quests along with past and present Forgotten Runes NFT holders.

Donuts in Season 1 were also distributed via daily and weekly Jackpot drawings for players who completed "Daily Donut" Check-Ins on the Donuts website.

Allocations For NFT Holders

Prerequisites for Donut distribution to Forgotten Runes NFT holders:

Being a holder in times past (held once, but don't hold any longer)
Rare tokens (the more rare the holdings, the higher quantity of Donuts earned)
Full Affinity tokens
Writing Lore
Burning a Sacred Flame
The Burning of Dotta POAP (you had to be there)
Voting the House of Wizards DAO

Bugbear Temple

Forgotten Runiverse players can use Cards earned in-game at the Bugbear Temple. Once in the Temple, users may trade any Card with the Chieftain for a chance to one of three chests, which each contain Donuts.
